111 - Confession
The search for Nicholas Jacobs, Clara’s uncle, got issued as soon as Sebastian learned what happened. He wanted to make sure that the man responsible for Clara’s abduction years ago would be behind bars before she even woke up to face the nightmare all over again.  When they couldn’t find him, Sebastian told Anthony, the head of security, to fetch Nathan Jacobs, Clara’s father, and bring him to his office. He needed to know what happened all those years ago, and though he did not know how to broach that subject yet, his future father-in-law deserved the truth. And that is where they found Nicholas confessing his sins to his brother. Nathan had his brother’s suit jacket tightly clasped between his hands. The intention to kill his brother was evident in his murderous glare. ‘You son of a bitch! How could you do that to us? Those girls thought the world of

112 - Tracker
A week later.  ‘Clara, there is no contest here. I am coming home with you, and we should stay together until we capture these men.’ ‘No, Sebastian! You are not guarding me and halting the operation of your multi-billion dollar shipping business on the off chance they might take me, again. They don’t even know I exist. They thought they killed me 20 years ago. If someone is in danger, it’s my sister, and I hired men to guard her already. Max will be with her all the time to make sure she doesn’t go anywhere. He’s on paid vacation until we’re on the clear.’  Clara wanted to take everyone back with her to San Jose, where they could hide out until they caught the evil men. But the FBI told them they should act like everything was normal. Not to take unplanned vacations because it would be harder to track t

113 - Shadow
‘Sebastian Colfer, call these men off, or I swear I will sneak out of here and never tell you where I am,’ she threatened over the phone. She had 6 security guards all the time, 3 trailing behind her, and 3 scoping out the places she wanted to visit.  In the beginning, it made her laugh that Sebastian assigned that many people to guard her at her own office, so she gave them the slip several times to show them who’s boss. But because of what she did, they became more resilient while watching her, almost breathing down her neck, so they won’t get fired for losing her. ‘It’s your fault, my love. If you stop hiding from them, maybe they won’t feel as threatened to lose you. I told them to guard you with their life. But if it makes you mad, then I will tell them to be inconspicuous and stop crowding you.’ He promised.

114 - Security
They were not out of the woods yet. The kidnappers were still out there, but there was time to celebrate small victories. Clara just wanted to keep on punching somebody, her blood was pumping adrenalin into her system, and she was so fired up that she could not sit still while they dressed the bruises on her face and the wounds on her hands. Clara, Celine, and Max, together with their bodyguards gathered at Sebastian’s house to discuss what happened that afternoon. Celine still felt shaken, so everybody concentrated on making her feel better. She did not know whether to hug her sister or Max, not willing to let anyone go.  ‘It’s going to be okay, Celine. We can hope they won’t try it again. But now they know they can’t just take you away. They’ll be mad, which means no more activities outside the office and your home,’ Sebastian looked at Clara pointedly

115 - The Answer
Even before Sebastian had the chance to meet Clara’s parents and before she revealed her identity to them, he already had one thing on his mind. Something he had been longing for and was missing from his life. It was that Clara would have to be in his life forever and that his love for her was everlasting. He had been planning this day ever since she told him she loved him, and in light of the current events, it had propelled his decision forward because he couldn’t wait anymore. He wanted Clara to be his wife. Clara and Sebastian decided to visit his family for the weekend to steer clear of her well-meaning parents. Samantha and John were old-fashioned, but they were not as blunt and direct as her parents, probably because having daughters made her parents more protective. His parents never even broached the subject of marriage because Sebastian had already

116 - Conversations with Dad
After the disastrous proposal, Clara decided they should take time away from each other. And since Jeremy was staying with Sebastian, she had nowhere to escape to but her parent’s house. It was safer to stay at their house than at a hotel, and this delighted her parents. The need to get away from Baz for the next few days and avoid having “the conversation” was greater than her need to make up with him and set everything straight.  She was stubborn and could not see herself wielding to his needs. Just because she was in love did not mean they should jump into the deep end of this pool right away. This argument solidifies her point that they are not prepared to get married. Her independence was far too important for her. Clara and Jeremy came in early on Friday so she could spend time with Baz before the Navio year-end party. Ever since the attempted abdu

117 - The Visit
Sebastian breathes in deep before he knocks. Celine answers the door with a faint smile. ‘Hey Baz, it’s nice to see you here. She came in yesterday outraged that you would dare such a thing. I vote for you, but I’m not sure she’s ready. There are too many changes in her life right now. Even I would get overwhelmed. If it makes you feel better, she’s been miserable the whole day, and it seems like you didn’t get too much sleep either.’ Clara told her sister what happened, minus all her insecurities, but Celine saw through all her carefully built-up walls. Clara was sprawled on the bed, staring into space, oblivious to the conversation happening right behind her. She was thinking how awful she was to reject Sebastian the way she did, and now he probably doesn’t want to be with her, ever. The answer to his question was yes, but not right now, if that made sense. Why was it so difficult for her to express her

118 - Party
Ariana and her security team scoped the Dining hall at the hotel, making sure all the exits were monitored and covered. If someone wanted to attempt something, then this would be the time to do it when everybody was pre-occupied, and it would be easier for the bad guys to blend in. Everybody was on high alert. With all the high-ranking officials and guests attending the party, Clara was not the only one who needed to be kept under a watchful eye. To make both sisters visible at all times, Sebastian had two custom gowns made for the occasion. Clara would be wearing a glittering black and silver sequin haute couture gown with thin spaghetti straps and crisscrossed in the back, while Celine was wearing a sweet number in gold, in a halter style and a slit on one leg that reached up to her hip. The event started with the serving of appetizers and drinks while peop

119 - Taken (1)
Nicholas Jacobs had been watching Clara and Celine as closely as everyone else ever since the kidnappers came back and threatened to take them again. When he saw Clara sneak out into the restroom with nobody following her, he decided to take it upon himself to do it. Clara did not trust him after what he did, but he did not care. It was better to be safe than sorry. Clara could yell at him if that's what she wanted. He deserves it, after all. He pretended to make a phone call, hiding near the men’s restroom doors. When he saw two uniformed hotel staff come out of the women’s restroom with a hotel trolley, the kind used to carry all the sheets and linens from rooms that have been emptied and he grew suspicious. These men didn’t look like the regular hotel staff. They looked more buff and were suspiciously gruff-looking, covered with all those tattoos. So when they left, he checked inside the restroom, and

Spike proceeded to tape Clara’s mouth but didn’t expect her to be awake. She bit down hard on his hand, inflicting so much pain that he slapped her across the face, dislodging her blindfold enough so she could see through the bottom.  Clara kicks Spike between his thighs, rendering him immobile for a few minutes. Enough time for Clara to bring the hands tied behind her back under her knees. She had to bring them in front of her, making it easier to get out of the zip ties that bound them together. Clara falls flat on her face even before she can get anywhere. Spike had come out of the sensation of having his balls kicked enough to slide his feet and trip her. He holds a knife to her neck, pinning her to the floor. She had no choice but to surrender. She fights him again when he pulls Clara up to tie her agai
