"So much for trust, huh? So, Damon, is this the compulsion talking or you in general because I cannot see much the difference,” said Maleficent. Trust, the one word in which it was the first time for the prideful prince of the Nether World heard loud and clear yet it still was vague for him. Ever since he was thought how to count and to read, his responsibility as the demon king’s only offspring and son of his kind-hearted mother started to pile up. With his advance learning ability, he grew up faster more than those who were at his age. When kids around his age were yet to be acquainted with the way of the Malevolent World , Damon the Prideful was set to kneel in front of his father for the compulsion of loyalty. And like a child offered by a promise that no one would hurt his mother even when they were apart, Damon knelt before his father willingly. To live up with the expectations of the people around him especial

Sitting on a smaller throne-like chair made of bronze and gems, Maleficent hands rested on the armrests of her seat as scanned the chaos before her. Cheering for the slave warriors the Nether World folks betted on curses and applauds ricocheted inside the opened arena. Copper coins rained from the bottom part of the bleachers. Silver coins surpassed the trajectory of the coppers ones. While the golden shower of luxury fell from the second highest part of the arena, the seats for the aristocracy and nobilities.Bodies which died within seconds after entering the arena were dragged by the slaves owned by the fighting pit’s slaves. The fallen bodies were offered to the covered cages gifted by the demon king for this specially requested festivity. A separate group of slaves collected the coins, making the bearded fat-bellied merchant goblins to gleam with joy for supporting such request from the demon king since this event was not sponsored by the demon lords entirely. A blanket of black and red wrapped the proud commandant of the Nether World’s imperial army of narakas and fallen angels like a scene straight out from gory books. The flutters of the small wings owned by thousands of butterflies drew everyone’s attention. The commandant, who did not pay attention to it at the beginning, started to swing his sword with the attempt to make the horde of butterflies fly away from him, sensing the danger looming along with the slaughter butterflies.“What are those?”“Butterflies?”“In the arena? And that many?”The ghouls started to speculate while the shadow beasts backed away from their targets as their attention was fixated on the butterflies which were flying around the commandant on circles. With their tails tucked between their legs, the shadowed beasts started to back away to the wall. Their whimpers made the surrounding Nether World folks sensed the ominous

Maleficent, who was smiling with mockery, tilted her head to the side as she observed her estranged mother before her. “What? Why are you hesitating? The lover boy needs you now… mother.”“It is you,” said Aurora. Realization dawned upon her angelic face as if an imaginary fog finally cleared out in her mind. Maleficent shrugged nonchalantly before any traces of her smiling face vanished, replaced by an expression devoid with any emotion but pure malice.Rolling her eyes, Maleficent nudged towards the shrieking Angelo the Faithful. “You have my thanks for saving the man I love. Because of that, I will spare you when I turn this arena into a bloody banquet for my shadow beasts.”Aurora’s jaws clenched before she opened her mouth which was interrupted by another series of wails from the son of Gabriel the Faithful who was surrounded by five gigantic centipedes. “Damn!” Aurora also known by many as Selaph

“Indeed. Farewell.” Maleficent whispered. On cue, a roaring sound elicited from behind him before he was taken by the looming shadow of the gigantic winged serpent. After her last two words, the entire arena had turned into one extensive domain for Maleficent. Her emerald eyes glowed more than ever at that exact moment; the song of battle cries echoed from her mouth as she screamed, flipping her position. Now, she was the one sitting atop the shell-shocked Gabriel the Faithful.“Die, angel!” Flipping the version that Gabriel the Faithful said a few moments ago, she raised both of her arms while holding her weapon. Gone were her whips earlier, replaced by a dagger made from her shadows. The blade hissed as she held it as if it got a life of its own.But the gleam of the dagger’s blade under the lightning bolt’s sheen woke Gabriel the Faithful from his reverie, snapping him on the verge of his death.
