"What are you doing here?" I asked him getting up and he came over to me pressing a kiss on my cheek. I looked at him surprised and turned to see Travis and Zada snickering."I came to see if you guys settled in alright?" He said looking at Zada and then back at me. He pushed out his hand towards Zada and said, "Hi, I'm Theo."She moved forward and shook his hand with a smile of hers, "Zada, so you are the infamous Theo, nice to meet you," she said and Travis cleared his throat taking Theo's hand in his shaking it."And I'm Travis, these two are my girls," he said pointing to Zada and me, who by the way were very amused, and it seems as if Theo was too but he kept it on a simple smirk."Nice to meet you, you must take great care of them, no?" He asked and Travis gave him

Standing by the living room indoor balcony, I looked down at the foyer watching the rich mingle with each other, some giving each other warm smiles while others were clearly faking it.  Heaving out another sight, I took a sip of my champagne and looked around the house, even though I've been in here before, I still cannot believe how amazing this house is. The marble stairs tied in greatly with the floor, if I was to get drunk here, I would need somebody to help me walk down these stairs. The railing was made out of wrought iron, clearly, somebody spent the whole day polishing this looking at how much it was shining.  The chandelier had to be really expensive, how do people even install it without dropping it or something...Theo's parents sure are rich. "You really don't want to be here don't you?" Adam

All the while talking to Ben, I realised he was actually a not so bad guy, but he did talk a lot about himself, I feel bad that he somehow was also on Theo's book of people to get revenge on. "So, what do you like to do?" He asked me and I took a sip of my champagne nodding. "A little bit of everything," I said vaguely and I put my hand on his knee. "However, I'd like to know more about you. What do you do in your spare time?" I felt a hard burning stare before I saw Theo watching me with his eyebrows furrowed and clenched jaw, I removed my hand from Ben's knee and put it on my own knee. "Nothing too big, I like going to the-" "Please excuse me for a minute, I need to use the ladies," I said smiling and he nodded. I passed him another glass of alc

"How are you feeling?" I turned to face the door where Theo stood holding a tray in his hands smiling softly at me. I looked around the room and realised that this is one room I've never been in, I stared down at the black duvets that covered my body. My body was clothed in a white shirt that smelled like he did.  I looked at the curtains that were pulled open a bit to allow the sunlight to pour through, "You're in my room," he said and I didn't respond. "Xania?" "Do you have a bathroom here?" I asked and my voice came out raspy, I licked my dry lips and I waited for him to answer me.  "That door right over there," he pointed to the door that was on my left-hand side, I pulled the sheets off my body and I hissed feeling an immense pain hit my belly, Theo rushed to my side putting the tray on the bed, he

I zipped up my sweater and pulled my tights on, tying up my sneakers, everything that Theo had bought for me so that I could be more comfortable while I stayed here. I left the room and walked into the kitchen bumping into Leo."Be careful there sis," he said as he caught me in time before I fell. His hands supported me as I found my feet and stood straighter. "Thanks," I said smiling and he gave me one too before he squinted his eyes looking at the bag I was carrying. "Where are you off to?" "Oh, I'm going back home, I already spent enough time here," I said and he nodded before a mischievous smile graced his face."A pleasant enough time?""Yes, Leo, a ve

"What are you doing here, Xania?"  "I came to talk to you," I carelessly shrugged and he squinted his eyes, shaking his head.  "What about?" "What you always want to know." "You're going to tell me...willingly? At night?" "I'm only free right now, but if you want to reschedule for tomorrow then fine, but you'll be too late," I said and he nodded letting me into his house. "Thanks," I muttered. "I would have tea prepared if I knew you were coming over, this is the first time you've come free willingly." "I don't want tea, can you sit so that we could talk," I asked him and he grinned sitting down next to me and I

I straightened my suit and pushed my hands into my pockets walking confidently into Mike's office, he sat behind his desk talking on his phone with a proud grin on his face. This man really annoys me. To think we were once friends, how odd. I pulled the chair out and unbuttoned my suit jacket before sitting down and staring at him,   he clenched his jaw and looked at me as I smirked at him, yeah buddy, I also don't want to be here looking at you. "Listen, Jeremy, I'll call you back later, something came up," he said into the phone and chuckled at whatever Jeremy said before ending the call and putting his phone face down. "Theodore," he cocked his head to the side leaning back on his chair. "To what do I owe the pleasure?""I thought I should eventually pop in and greet my friend," I said, shrugging

Theo and I stared at each other waiting for the other one to begin talking, I had no idea what he wanted to say to me and I just hoped whatever he wanted to say wouldn't sway my decision or disrupt me from saying what I wanted to say.  "You start," we both said at the same time and I chuckled, shaking my head. "It seems like what you want to tell me is much more important than what I want to say," I said and he nodded.  "Okay, let's sit down," he said and I followed him onto the couch sitting next to him. "Okay, so I was-" he breathed out a shaky breath before shaking his head. "Fuck this is hard." "Take your time," I held his hand in mine. "There is this girl that I knew and you remind me of her," okay? "My parents didn't like her and always wanted to keep

"Can I come in?" My sister's voice rang from outside the door but I couldn't respond. I pulled my blanket over my head and buried myself underneath the blankets. "I'm coming in," she said and opened my door and I released a gruff sound voicing out my disapproval for her intruding. She tugged at my blanket and I held it in a tight grip. "Xania," she said and I held on tighter and she responded by pulling it harder. "Let go," I whined, pulling the blanket and she responded by putting more force. "No," I carried on whining and she released a growl."COME ON," she groaned, pulling and she eventually won, throwing the blankets on the floor. She looked at me annoyed and she was breathing heavily. I glared at her and huffed turning my body and laid face down pushing my face into the pillows. "Xania!" She said a

I sat in my office reading through the documents for tonight. Paging through the pages and the targets, I once again read the specifications for the umpteenth time, something didn't make sense and it was bugging me.  'I called out your name, but it wasn't you that came, THEO IT WASN'T YOU!' I groaned, closing my eyes, slamming my fists against the desk, is this why I can't focus? Threading my fingers in my hair, I pressed my face against the desk and released a huge sigh.  It hurts. Why does it hurt?  I pulled out my phone and I scrolled through my gallery, littered with Xania's pictures and videos. I scrolled through the pictures I had taken of her when she was painting, she was on her knees with one paintbrush pushed against her middle ear,
