Chapter 10
It's been quite a few hours since the Alpha abandoned her in his bedroom. With each passing second, her impatience grew. She attempted to break through the door, but the guards stationed outside appear to be uninterested about her existence. She finally takes in the room after being in it for the third time. In the center of the room is a California King-size bed. A dark-grey duvet with simple white designs, a few puffy pillows, one of which bears the palace emblem, a dark marble fireplace flanked by a lounging chair of black and gold velvet, and another set of chairs placed in the massive balcony with white curtains on the door and massive tall windows. The black and grey coloured walls are flawless; there is no trace of the fire she had set the last time she managed to run.

Chapter 11
The air surrounding them suddenly got stiffer as he stared at her intensely. His blues collided with her hazels and they seemed to be lost in each other. "You are mine, Ariel; only mine. Do you understand?" She nodes" I want a verbal answer, little mate. Do you understand?" "Yes," she mumbled. She felt vulnerable in front of his gaze. His gaze moved from her neck, which now bore his temporary mark, to her parted lips. His eyes get another shade darker as his eyes linger a little longer on her lips. His gaze returns to her neck, and a glint of pride twinkles in his eyes.  "That should do for the time being."  He smirks and stands up, releasing her ha

Chapter 13
After a silent hour of driving, Prince Aiden pulls over in front of a small cafe in Alpharetta. Prince Aiden exits the car, and before Ariel can open the door, he rushes to her side and opens it for her. Helping her out of the car, they walked into the cafe with a swarm of guards following them. The cafeteria appeared to be cozy with a few people inside. The colors of the cafe adapted to the light as if they were once afraid to greet the rays. Cafe tables adorn the sun-kissed grey as if placed at the tip of an artist's brush. Prince Aiden led her to a corner table near the window, and the guards who were following them sat around them just across the other rows to give them privacy. After they had taken their seats, a waitress came over with the menus. "I'll be

Chapter 14
The sky was overshadowed by dark clouds, and no ray of sunlight could penetrate the thick layer of clouds. Rain was pouring down with no signs of abating. Rain fell, soaking the streets and cleaning up nature. There was no breeze or wind. The rain was pouring and pouring. She stood behind the thick glass windows, her gaze was drawn to each raindrop that glazed the earth. The day was gloomy, just like she felt; only the sky could cry to its heart's content, while she couldn't. She had no idea how long she had been standing there by her window. Ahe was jolted out of her trail of thoughts when her stomach growled loudly. She looked back at the clock, it was 3 in the afternoon and now when she thinks how long ago she had breakfast, it only makes her stomach growl louder. She walked into her kitchen, the sink still has the dirty dishes she left that day. Going through the cabinet

Chapter 15
"Answer me! Where is she!" He roared again. The guards couldn't muster up the courage to answer so one of them just pointed towards a door end the end of the hallway to their right. He rushes towards the door, which was not locked from the inside, and bragged inside the. The room was dimly lit and large, with a king-size bed in the center covered with a black duvet and a pile of pillows. Blank off-white walls and a wall of windows from ceiling to floor. On the other side, there was a wooden door that he assumed led to the bathroom and another that led to the walk-in closet. His gaze darted around the room, coming to a halt at the figure sitting in a corner. Her head was bowed, one hand on her thigh, the other holding a cigarette on her knees. He turned on the lights and approached her. Her knuckles were bruised with blood, a few cuts here and there. What caught his attention was a

Chapter 16
After a long dark night, the daybreak brought glimmers of warmth. The golden light softly caressed the land and ignited the birds into a chorus of melodies. Above those tangerine mountains, kissed to their heady blush by the sun, were clouds that moved in shoals. And so the sky was equal parts blue and a chorus of greys, streaked with silvers and golds. And in a moment she was cast in crimson, bathed in a rosy glow; how the sun gives each dawn without even the asking or the earning of the light. She moves her fingers through the air that grows brighter with each passing moment until it becomes a new bold day. Her eyes unknowingly searched the room for those sapphire blues, only to be met with an empty room and a cold bed. She felt a rush of disappointment that she shouldn't have felt. As much as she despised seeing his face

Chapter 17
A few weeks passed by and she hardly ever sees Aiden. He's been so busy for the past couple of days that he comes to their room after she falls asleep and leaves before she wakes up. After coming back from her penthouse, she thought about what Mia had asked her to do and she was thinking maybe she should stop running from him and her life and give it a chance. But Aiden was proving it to be difficult for her, she doesn't know nor she understands what's gotten him so caught up lately. It's almost like he lost all his interest in her. She somewhat felt angry and mad at him, but isn't she supposed to feel relieved that he isn't bugging her? She doesn't have the answer. The sun was shining brightly in the sky outside and she was sitting in the living room on a couch with a book in her hand. This is how she's been spending her days recently: reading, snacking, and sleeping. She just pu

Chapter 18
She was sitting on a blanket spread out under the blue sky, surrounded by lush greenery, just by a lake teeming with water lilies. A warm hand rested on her stomach, securing her to the person sitting behind her. She felt at ease, and a contented sigh escapes her lips. She turns to look behind her and sees Aiden staring at her with love in his eyes and a soft smile on his lips. She smiles back, and then everything around her is demolished: the castle they were living in is burnt down, and there are small fires here and there. She looked around and saw dead, bloodied pack members. Everything was in utter disarray. When she couldn't find Aiden, her heart began to beat a million times per second. She began running aimlessly in search of him but instead discovered more pack members who were still alive. But the look of horror in their eyes made her halt in her step. They were staring

Chapter 19
He watched her retreat as she walked triumphantly towards the castle, covered in the blood of the wolves she had just killed. He noticed how her eyes shone with the desire and determination to kill the female he once had. As he didn't go to their room that night, he noticed a glint of hurt in her eyes. Looking straight into his eyes, he saw how mercilessly she took the female's life. He couldn't help but be turned on by how predatory she appeared while fighting those warriors. But he didn't like how she disrespected him by killing Bethany despite his warnings. She must learn a lesson, he thought. He stood up and left the battleground, on his way to their bedroom to have a chat with his he was halted by his Beta and Gamma. He ended up in his office for much-needed paperwork and by the time he finally left for his bedroom, it had been a few hours. He was still in his Royal attire wh
