Chapter 11: Euphenic Call of the Deities
“Soul Drenching Squirrels?” I frowned, taken aback.  Back then when I'd encountered the Acorn Master, he had mentioned something about those beasts, but of course, not many details. Could those really be what he was speaking about?  My attention was redirected to those five, giant squirrels descending from the mountains towards the men.  That was not really what made me entirely surprised. What did, was the mighty bellow that came from the leading animal, causing the one-third remainder of the hundred men to be dispelled from the beguilement which Kira had made on them through the use of Animal and Spirit Brotherly Illusion.  The remaining few of the hundred, on realising that they had been beguiled into killing one another, their eyes were filled with fury. One of the survivals was Derizante, he was entirely abashed by the situation, as he'd boasted indifference, previously, at Kira's threat.  Apart

Chapter 12: First Breakthrough
The force made from both parties running into each other made everywhere inconspicuous by the after-effects, as though a giant tsunami had just taken place.  Teacher Kira's eyes lit up all of a sudden. As if she'd just realised something, she said in a hurried voice, “Quick, look beneath this and give me a full detail of what's actually happening there?”  “Huhn?” I stared at my teacher as though I was looking at a fool. She knew clearly well that the both of us could not tell what went on due to the inconspicuousness made from both parties running into each other, and their overwhelming auras making an obscure sight, so how could I possibly see beyond the denseness?  “There's no time to explain, you're a possessor of the Royal Spirit Bloodline, you should be able to separate illusions from reality... Just listen, stop the face you're making. Looking intently, try to awaken your bloodline. That force that driv

Chapter 13: Fingers of Knowledge
The air was tense.  Previously, it was only because I'd actually activated my “Eye of Insight” (the name I shall now call my new ability, after the breakthrough) that I was able to see how Kira had pulled her spirit out of her body.  Despite the ravenous, tiger-like grandeur that her spirit took, a spirit was only a spirit — it carried no definite shape.  An analysis of how Kira's spirit looked like is a lantern genie. Back in the realistic earth, where I came from, there was this movie called “Aladdin”. He had this blue genie that took the form of a human from head to stomach, but below that was just a free, waggling, intangibility that could be compared to the drafting smoke.  That was exactly the form Kira's spirit took, save for being colourless. Despite having Eye of Insight, I could still see through her, as though she were only just... transparent.  ‘Boom!’

Chapter 14: The Three Princesses
After the passing of four more hours, I'd successfully absorbed the knowledge of every single book about beast taming, in the Beast Hall's Book Collection Vault.   The fours hours I'd spent in the library, plus the one-second (two hours) in the Channel of Ancient Reality should have left me extremely tired. However, that was not the case. Instead of being weighed down by fatigue, my mind and physical body had rather been further refreshened.   ‘Accepting the Acorn Master's invitation to the Beast Hall was not such a bad idea, after all,’ I told myself, after recounting all the events I'd experience.   In truth, with my standing right now, I can easily brag to be more knowledgeable in the field of anything concerning beasts, and beast taming. One must know that, those books in this Book Collection Vault spanned across a hundred thousand, by estimation.   It was true that humans had the ability to take in lots of knowledge without ge

Chapter 15: The Breakdown of Lu Peng (1)
“Knowledge in The Way of Savage Beasts?” I asked, feeling the agitation rising inside of me. One must understand that after utilising my Fingers of Knowledge in acquiring the knowledge of every single book currently in the Book Collection Vault, I wouldn't pale much among top-notch geniuses in the Way of Savage Beasts, yet this princess just had to pick that challenge against me.  “Un,” nodded she. “Since you've already agreed to the challenge, there's no need for you to think of redrawing, it's impossible... unless you intend to apologise to all three of us princesses, right here, right now—”  “That won't be necessary, let's get on with it,” I said with a smirk on my face. She probably took my astonishment for frustration, but I couldn't be bothered to explain myself.  “Humph,” she sneered at me, before looking at the crowd and saying, “As we all know, Knowledge in the Way of Savage Beasts is the criteria of passing the 1-star Beast Taming examinat

Chapter 16: The Breakdown of Lu Peng (2)
I looked at the door and realised that the beaming, red light from the door had moved from the first circle to the middle one. From what the person in the crowd had pointed at, it only comes to say that that signifies the second stage.  I mouthed the number on the door, “Nineteen.”  “It seems like Princess Lu Peng has begun the stage of beast identification!” someone else screamed in my ears.  I turned to look at the person in disgust. It was Princess Feng Wu.  She snorted, seeing my raised nose and corked brow.  Just then, the door of the Beast Tamers Examination Hall was pushed open, recklessly.  ‘Jiya!’  I turned around like everyone else.  “Where's my girlfriend?” A young man's voice sounded behind me.  Turning around, I saw a pair of searching eyes, and a pair of horns poking into the air over his head.  “It's Young Master Jaiden!” someone whispered in suppressed agitation amongst t

Chapter 17: The Breakdown of Lu Peng (3)
Going through the same procedure as Lu Peng, I was able to reactivate the door of the examination room, and as I stepped in, I felt as though I'd been teleported to a different world entirely.  About me was a garden with lots of peculiar flowers with a brushing smell of vitality from it.  Looking around me, I realised that there were no houses or buildings whatsoever. The only thing that stood was a grand wall designed with all types of carvings. My eyes lit up, immediately.  “So this is the Wall of Puzzlement!”  It had a nourishing aura coming from it that made one engulfed in a feeling of warmth. I was able to quickly put aside all the previous activities that replayed in my mind.  Stepping forward, I observed the wall, and read out the first line of words on it.  “In a world of distrust, who is your closest kin?”  I shook my head in disbelief. Just what kind o

Chapter 18: 1-star Beast Tamer
Surprisingly, the previous hostile crowd had turned into a complete set of different people entirely. The only thing I could read from their eyes was reverence. It was as if they'd gone through a process of bowdlerization.  “Success!” the mechanical voice from the door of the examination announced.  ‘Oh là là !’  ‘Now that's what I'm talking about, baby!’  Stepping out, I felt like a superstar. I raised my head up and looked at the numbers floating across the door.  100 points!  Still, as a genius, I couldn't just start crazing over a mere score... I had to add some vibes and play expert.  Before I could even say a word, everyone began to steer clear, as though I was some demon. Tracing their perplexed gazes, I realised it was due to my new pet that they shrunk in fear. Smiling, I turned to it and asked telepathically, “Do you have a name

Chapter 19: Acorn Master's Visit
Two days had already passed since I left the Beast Hall. Hence, I'd been able to achieve an in-depth knowledge in the Way of Beast Taming after having refined the knowledge I'd acquired of beast taming from the Beast Hall's Book Collection Vault, through constantly going through the library of informations in my head.  Roy no longer shared a room with me. Uncle Ramsey had finally prepared a room specially for savage beasts, as he'd promised me he would. This also goes to say that my new savage beast, Little Wolfy, did not lack an accommodation as well.  When I got back from the Beast Hall two days ago, and relayed the news of me beating those princesses to a duel and officially becoming a beast tamer, the whole house was struck dumb. Still, it only added to my “prowess” — well, as a genius, I can't really help it.  About those two maids the other day, I'd finally been able to cremate my hypothesis. With the Eye of Insigh

Chapter 20: Junior Academy of the Gifted
“Yes, yes. As you know already, Dorothy, the Junior Academy of the Gifted opens once, every decade! Unlike most academies, they pick out just the best amongst the best of geniuses. It's every cultivator's dream to be able to walk the ground of the JAG.   “The founder of this great academy is also the founder of the two most popular academies in the Phantom Dynasty, namely the Intermediate Academy of the Gifted of the Dwindling Mountains, and, finally, the Pinnacle Academy of the Gifted of the Magnificent Spirits!”   As the Acorn Master spoke, one could feel deep reverence in his voice for those great academies, there was a kind of unfathomable warmth.   My interests were piqued.   “Is there a fee to be paid or something, to get enrolled?”   It was a fact that great academies of these calibers tended to be extremely expensive.   It's just like schools like Kings College and Queens College — they were
