Lahat ng Kabanata ng Retribution of the Roar: Kabanata 51 - Kabanata 60

Every warrior was summoned again. To think that they had a general meeting twice in a row, it was obvious they were brewing something. The hall was jam-packed and the heat was becoming unbreakable every minute, especially when more and more people were coming in.Raeya was surprised by their numbers–their real numbers. Compared to the previous meeting, today was a shocker. They were also numerous last time as they reached almost three-fourths of the hall. But now, the hall couldn’t contain each and every one of them. Marshals kept on running around trying to fit all the warriors of Khenealm until they announced that those unfortunate enough to be on the back part had to let their leaders be prioritized in getting inside the hall first because they were about to discuss really important things.A riot had broken out earlier due to a group of young warriors, maybe aged twelve to fourteen, who made a big issue out of the overwhelming number of the crowd. They proclaimed themselves as Pal

“I told you, you have to memorize at least these places!” Raeya scolded Fahazi.Aegis had just arrived at their North base along with Palmarium and two more minor companies who weren’t that huge but they participated in the last war so they were assured that they atleast have experience.“Look here, not everyone has the same brain capacity as yours!” Fahazi shouted back.Raeya couldn’t believe it. Back in their time during Fhae’s lectures and training, no one was allowed to complain. Sure, it was tiring but it showed their obedience. Their sincerity to join Aegis was that deep to the point that they ignored each and every pain just for them to reach their goal.“Why don’t you listen to me for a while? I’m just asking you to memorize three major towns! Tashir, Kiza, Dairishia–what’s so hard about that?”“All right, I get it! Tashir, Kiza, Dairishia, what else?!”This was not going well.“Since this is your reaction, it seems like you did not understand me. Being geologically aware of t

“Where? Where are they?” Raeya frantically asked.Daru was slamming her fingers on the keyboard. Aura pressed a fat green button and a large duplicate hologram of Daru’s screen appeared in front of them, encompassing the whole room. A map of the whole of Khenealm was projected first. It kept on twisting as it was being zoomed with the help of a blinking red circle which indicated where the distress call came from. Finally, after a month, they had movement.Their enemy had great timing. Just when they were relaxing, they showed up. Still, Raeya seemed to be a little too nervous. The signal didn’t even come from their area but she felt like she was engaging Hearth now. She wasn’t even sure if she was trembling because of excitement or fear.“There!” exclaimed Daru. The red circle stayed on the coverage of the East. The East had the least number of teams due to them being assigned the smallest area.“What are the headquarters' instructions? Should we go stand by near the mountains in cas

Nique’s waiting wasn’t in vain.Originally, Leison was the only one who should be going to their headquarters but Aegis was known to always be prepared. Leison had planned too much ahead and he requested Nique’s assistance in case something happens. They were clearly not following orders because the location of headquarters was classified data so Nique should not be here. But now that they had a situation, Nique thought they wouldn’t be punished if and only if she managed to catch the intruder and bring them back. So she had to. Or else she and Leison will be under disciplinary measures for the first time. She didn’t want both of their records to be stained.Nique had been listening all the time through Leison’s telepathy ever since they entered into the house. Nique was just outside, on stand by a tree and hidden with the shadows of the night like some thief waiting for an opportunity. The opportunity presented itself before her. Even in the darkness, she caught movement that passed

The absence of Leison and Nique for almost four days made Raeya worry. Did something happen? Though she wasn’t really that worried since it was the two of them, she couldn’t help but overthink that the interrogation went wrong. Although Sir Vance contacted them for the past days telling them that everything went well and that they just had to focus on Operation Ignis, he only used voice calls. It was nothing to be suspicious about but when even Nique refused to do video call with her, that was something new like they didn’t want to show their faces, save for Leison. Raeya actually thought that they were hiding something. “You weren’t listening again,” Fahazi grumbled in front of her. She snapped back to reality. She looked at the score sheet in front of her. Raeya just snoozed in the middle of an oral and written quiz with Fahazi. “Oh.” Raeya could only scratch her cheek and do an awkward chuckle. “My bad, you were saying?” Fahazi hit her with a hard-cover book. “Ow!” Fahazi lai
