Last night Andrew came over and we all had a self care night. We watched movies, did face masks and ate way too many snacks. I told them everything that happened, and explained my text to Cody. It was great. Today, I’m going to the gym to start out the day and then going to work. I needed to pick up a last minute shift today. When I get to the gym, I start out with a mile run and then move onto machines. I concentrate on my legs, needing to build the riding muscles back up. The gym goes fast. I just finished getting ready to go over Daniel, it’s Jim’s birthday so they are having a party. Daniel is picking me up in a couple of minutes and then we’re going to pick up the food. I am wearing a black lace top with some black jeans. I paired it with some heeled booties and a long, oversized cardigan. My makeup is natural with a wing and my nude lipstick. Daniel texts me so I quickly run outside before he can come get me. “Damn girl, you look gorgeous” He leans over the console, kissing me. “Thank you” I blush, looking at him. He looks good. He is wearing a short-sleeved fitted black button-up shirt with some white dots scattered on it. His black jeans are sitting on his legs, fitting perfectly. He has his white basketball sneakers on, like usual and his sunglasses rest on his nose. His hair is styled to absolute perfection, never a single hair out of place. I woke up today achy and stiff. The things mother nature wants us to endure. “Mm, good morning” Daniel pulls me to his chest causing me to wince. “What? What happened?” Daniel furrows his eyebrows. “I hurt” I sigh, rubbing my eyes. “Let me try something, yeah?” He brushes through my hair. “Let’s go brush our teeth and do everything else. I’ll go after you” Daniel kisses my forehead, a sweet and meaningful gesture. Once we’re done I lay back in bed, my arm covering my eyes. A few days ago Luke called me to see if I have any plans the next week. He wanted to take Grace and me to New York for a week. After the week, I’m going back to Florida with them for a while and Daniel is going to fly out to see everyone. Their request. I packed my bags and Daniel is driving me to the airport. I’ll be landing the same time they’re supposed to, and we have a meeting place. “I’m going to miss you” I frown over at Daniel. “I’ll see you soon enough, babe. You’re going to have a blast. New York is so beautiful” He glances over at me, smiling. I know he’s upset at the timing of it all, but he’s extremely happy for me. “How many times have you been to New York?” I ask, trying to make conversation. “I’m not sure. More than three times. My dad travels there for business a lot. We used to tag along more than we do now” He smiles, taking my hand in his. We pull up to the airport and I grab my bag out of the back seat and hug Daniel. “I love you Dan” I smile, pulling away.

Today was such a stressful day at work. The business has been increasing and there has been hardly anyone working with me. Most of the day I’m alone or have one co-worker with me. “Hey, Sydney can I talk to you?” I knock on her door. “Yeah, of course. What’s up?” She motions for me to sit. “I’m sorry, and I know it’s not my place but it’s getting very busy” My voice gets low. I can’t afford to be fired but it can’t go on like this. “I know. I’m sorry, I have three people in for tomorrow and I’ll take you off. Take the day tomorrow, please. I’ll pay you your normal and send you the check in the mail. Don’t worry about it. I’ve been trying to get dependable people on but no one’s showing up. I did increase your pay for the last two weeks because of how hard you’ve been working” She gives me a sincere smile. “Oh, no. I can come in tomorrow, it’s not a problem. Thank you. So much” I nod. “No, please take the day off. You need it. You look exhausted. Now go, watch a movie or hang out
