I am standing at the shore, comfortable with the soothing feeling of the cold water as it caress my feet. The warm breeze of the dusk makes me feel free.I clossed my eyes when the wind started dancinf with my hair as the droplets of the seawater landed on my my skin the moment that the wave hit the rock formation near me.I turned around and stared at the figure of Miss Rebekah's manor. I tilted my head as I intertwine my fingers on my back.I can't believe I ended up here. I can't believe I have went this far after everything that has happened in my life. It's almost been two weeks since I stayed here without contacting someone. Not even my mom, not biological mother, not my friends, not Exiquel, not my family and

The memory of that night came back in my mind. The memory of how stupid I was to attempt to commit suicide. How stupid I was to ask him such a silly question."The moon is beautiful isn't it?" I mumbled then laughed. "Damn, I can't believe I said that in that kind of situation. It makes me cringe now."I can't believe how foolish I was to take the three steps away from him but I also let myself to be pulled closer to him.The nineteen years old me sure was stupid. I laughed with that thought. Silly me. I wonder if I fell in love with someone more deserving, will I be able to those crazy things?I wonder if I wasn't that naive and kind, will they abuse me because of who I am?

"And I don't want the world to see me,'Cause I don't think that they'd understandWhen everything's made to be broken,I just want you to know who I am,"Do you know who I am, Quel? I was once your girl.Do you know who I am, Zein? I am your mother, baby. You came from my womb, my little angel."And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming,Or the moment of truth in your lies,"The truth that you have been trying so hard to keep in yourself must be revealed. The truth that lies beneath the facade of pain."When everything feels like the movies,Yeah, you bleed just to know you're alive,"His voice rang

I stared at my phone's screen before turning it off and sliding it back in my pocket.I heaved a deep breath and jogged to catch up with dad who's now descending on the grand staircase. My footsteps echoed upstairs.I trailed behind him. "Dad, I can't believe that Fuego Paraiso is hidden," I said in amusement and confusion. "I mean, it's so beautiful there. The views on our island are breathtakingly amazing. I wonder what lies in the other islands too."He chuckled. "That's the reason why the main families chose to keep Fuego Paraiso hidden, my daughter. Another thing is, it's the families' peaceful den. They don't want to be bothered."I pouted and crossed my arms under my chest. "So, it's more like a private country than a place for vacation?""You can say that," He said while nodding. "It's too civilized for its own good and rich so we decided to keep it private."I nodded. "But dad, why do you want us back here? I was still enjoying my peaceful life at the Vista Island," I pouted.

My sharp collarbones are exposed as well as my cleavage.I shrieked and threw my phone on my bed.Oh my God! How stupid was I to impulsively answer a call without looking if it was an audio or video call?![Are you trying to seduce me, love?] He said followed by an annoying laugh."Shut up, Exiquel!" I hissed.I turned my camera off before wearing something comfortable.[You don't have to seduce me, though. You are already seductive without doing anything.]"Oh shut up! Why didn't you inform me that it was a video call?!"
