Katelyn POV“I said that I’m just tired.  There is no need to have the doctor look at me.”  I scan the small group of people in my bedroom.  Yes.  My bedroom.I woke up just a few moments ago to Wyatt, Ford, Bridget and Dr. Bright standing beside the bed.  They are all looking down at me, but I honestly don’t have the energy to fight right now.  I’m just so tired. Bridget smiles and sits down on the bed next to me.  She gently grabs my hands.  “Katelyn, I saw the last two puzzle pieces.  That is why we are here.”Wyatt huffs, “You still haven’t told me why you brought the doctor with you or who the last two pieces are.”With Bridget still looking at me, she smiles and gently rubs her thumbs against the back of my hands.  “Their names are Max and Trish.”Wyatt sighs.  “Okay.  When are

I burst into the clearing.  The growls and howls of battle have been ringing through the forest, but I’m still surprised when I come into the clearing.  Not only is Alpha Marcus’ pack here, but all of his allies, along with all of our allies.  The clearing is full of werewolves.  All of them are fighting with everything that they have. Our first wave of warriors appears from the forest at the same time that Katelyn, Ford, Bridget and I arrive.  The plan is to have Katelyn and Bridget stay along the sidelines to use their abilities to locate people and heal them, if needed.  The key person who we are trying to locate is Alpha Marcus. I glance around the field.  I see a lot of blood and the smell of death is in the air, while fangs and claws continue to fly everywhere, but I’m not seeing Alpha Marcus yet. Before I can ask, Bridget states via the mind link, “Alpha Marcus isn’t here y

I bolt through the trees, over the boulders, and around the bushes.  I move my feet as fast as I can.  With each step, my heart pounds harder as the sound of battle hits my ears.  The growls of victory along with the howls of pain stab my heart.  This shouldn’t be happening, and it is all because of my father.  His sick need to be the most powerful and have everyone bow down to him is too much.  It must stop.No wonder my mother isn’t anywhere to be found.  I’m sure that she couldn’t handle him either. With that thought running through my mind, I jump into the clearing.  The sight that meets me is not something that I have ever wanted to see.  Werewolves are everywhere and fighting to the death.  The stench of blood and death is in the air. Nearby, several wolves are torn apart laying lifeless in a pool of their own blood on the ground while several other dead werewolves are sc

Mike POVI slowly open my eyes.  The bright sun instantly makes me squint and close them again. I’m alive. I thought I was dead. I’m sure that I was being ripped to pieces.I lift my arm to block the bright sun from my eyes as I slowly open them back up.  Wait.  I thought I was in my wolf form.  My wolf! I mentally ask, “Are you still here with me?”My wolf slowly mumbles, “Yeah, but I need to rest.”Oh, that is a relief. I move to sit up, but pain instantly shoots through my entire body.  I quickly look down at my body, trying to see how bad the damage is, but I don’t see any.  Wait.  Where are my injuries?I quickly touch my legs and turn them slightly, but nothing.  There isn’t one injury there.  My eyes quickly go to my stomach and my chest, as my hands randomly pat that a

Katelyn POV I walk across my bedroom to the crib.  Even though the baby is crying, and you can’t hear anything except him, I smile as I stop at the edge.  Our first born and the next alpha to the Sun Moon pack.  My pride and joy. I lean over the edge of the crib and softly coo, “Are you mad, Max?  You can’t be hungry.  You just had your milk.” I gently pick him up from the crib and begin to sway back and forth, while cradling my son in my arms.  “Hush, baby.  You need to rest.  You have to grow up to be big and strong.” However, Max continues to cry. Knock.  Knock.  Still swaying back and forth, I glance up at the door.  “Come in.” The door opens and Fiona pokes her head into the bedroom.  “Uhm, you can’t get him to calm down again?” I slowly shake my head. She steps into the bedroom.  “Do you want me to help?
