REGGIE AND CHRIS- The escape Reggie stared at Chris in total confusion.“What the hell are you talking about? What child?”Chris studied her, looking for any signs of acting or… something, but he realised that she was genuinely confused. “You didn’t know?” He asked her.She shook her head.“Well, you’re pregnant.” He confirmed. “Now, I didn’t think it was my place so I haven’t called William yet, that’s assuming it’s even his in the first place…”Reggie wasn’t listening to a single thing the man was saying, her brain was furiously doing calculations and making deductions. She had missed her period, but she didn’t really think much of it.She had blamed her stress and crazy resting and eating patterns for the skip. Plus it usually happened, so it wasn’t really anything out of the ordinary. Fu

REGGIE AND CHRIS- The PropositionReggie finished the whole carton of apple fruit juice and the packet of biscuits, much to her pleasant surprise. She hadn’t eaten that well in days, and she honestly felt so much better already.Chris on the other hand was very pleased. He had been covert in his observations, but seeing the annoying vixen eat and knowing that she was doing it to sustain herself and his unborn child was doing something to his insides. He was feeling so high, he wanted to climb to the highest mountain to shout that he was going to be a father. He still couldn’t believe it!It truly felt too good to be true. But at this point, he was done trying to make sense of the mechanisms of fate. He was going to do his best to make sure that the cards he had been dealt with worked in his favor. He heard Reggie clear her throat shyly, the action snapping him out of his thoughts.“I-I didn&rsq

REGGIE AND CHRIS- Thinking things, seeing thingsFor the first time since she got here, Chris spent the entire day with her!Well, it wasn’t exactly the entire day since it wasn’t even two o’clock yet. What Reggie meant was that even after they had had breakfast, the handsome hunk still hung around the living room like some ghost… instead of locking himself in his study like he usually did, even though there was some kind of tension in the air after his outburst about liking how she enjoyed his meals. That tension had put a bit of a strain on the flow of their conversations, so they weren’t really talking. Plus, Reggie had her phone back so she was much more focused on letting the few people she had in her life know that she hadn’t vanished off the face of the earth. She was pretty sure that her mother had kept most of them posted, but just a text wasn’t bad, and so that was exactly what she was d

REGGIE AND CHRIS- Beautiful start, ugly endChris had always thought that Deidre was a woman! So he hadn’t even bothered to meet her after allowing her access into his house. You can imagine his surprise therefore when he suddenly heard purely masculine laughter wafting into his study. He had been surprised and curious, and so he had decided to go and take a look, hiding his intentions under the guise of wanting to know what Reggie wanted to have for lunch. There sat Deidre, a complete man all right, but with an interesting twist.Chris slowly felt his anxiety ebb somewhat as he made his way to the kitchen to get started on lunch.Deidre was no competition? The revelation that he had been worried that Reggie might have another love interest after William really unsettled the man though. What exactly did it mean?He honestly didn’t care. Really, he didn’t.Liar.

REGGIE AND CHRIS- New Beginnings “So you’re trying to tell me that our child is perfectly fine?” Chris asked in complete confusion. “Yes, Mr. Ayettey…” The doctor assured him with a wide grin. “But, I thought bleeding was a sign of a miscarriage,” Reggie interrupted, equally confused. “It is, but that is not always the case, Mrs. Ayettey—” “Oh, uh… we’re not married.” She corrected, a light blush coating her cheeks… one that had Chris grinning like an awestruck idiot. “My apologies, then. Anyway, as I was saying… bleeding isn’t always a sign of a miscarriage. It can be sign of implantation of the embryo in the uterus, like yours was… there are other reasons for bleeding during pregnancy, but I wouldn’t want to bore you to death with all of that.” He finished. “But I thought implantation and everything that had to do with that occurred in the first trimester?” Reggie asked after a moment’s thought. “Yes, great question.”
