My twins are now two years old, and Nico seems to think he is Ashina's guardian. Ashina is half his size, so he acts like she is his toy. It aggravates Ashina to no end.  Damien is coming home today from a trip to Louisiana. There is another pack that is having issues with trying to get along with their human neighbors. Since I am pretty busy with these two, he went by himself.

So, I'm in my room with Chloe, and I'm trying to get her to tell me who my mate will be. I know she knows, but she won't spill it. I'm only twelve right now, so I'm going to have to wait a minimum of five years to find out. I'm just not that patient. Chloe is an oracle and really doesn't like talking about mates. She has been told that she will probably never have a mate, because there aren't many wolves strong enough to handle the intensity of her visions and magic. I, on the other hand, have been told, by the Moon Goddess, that I will have the first mate who will reject me, and a second chance mate who will be perfect. I only wish I knew when and who. Chloe knows, but she won't spill it.  I have already been through hell, but my parents are great at listening without judging. My mom had the same issues when she was growing up, except hers was worse because she couldn't fight back. My mom has been training me to fight since I was two. I am allowed to kick ass and I mos

After mom left school, I took a quick shower in the locker room, and went to my locker to get my book for my first class. I shut my locker with the feeling that something was about to happen. When I turned around, I was met with a fist to my face. It was Cam, LeAnn's volunteer bodyguard. I dropped my books, "You think I can't kick your ass too? Bring it." He took a swing at my face again and I caught his fist and twisted his wrist until his arm was behind his back. I jerked up on his lower arm until I heard the distinct sound of bones breaking. He bent over to hold his arm and I kneed him in the face. I asked, ""Do you want some more?" He groaned, "No." I added, "It would be in your best interest to stop fighting on her behalf. That was only a fraction of what I can do. She's trying to get me hurt so I can't fight tonight." Cam looked at me like something just snapped in him. "I didn't even think of that. She just told me that you were trying to get Alpha to put her to death." I sho

Today is the day before my seventeenth birthday. I'm really not looking forward to tomorrow. Mom wants to make a big deal of it though, so I will oblige. Plus, I really do have to go along with it. It's also Nico's and Seth's seventeenth birthday. They could find their destined mates. I don't want to ruin the day for them. That's one of the drawbacks to having a twin. Your birthday is never your own. It doesn't help that it's Seth's birthday too. Nyla urged, "Come on, we need to talk to dad about that Rogue pack. He has news." I hurry and get dressed in some leggings and a tank, because it's Saturday and I want to work out after breakfast. I walk into the kitchen and grab a cup of coffee before sitting with mom, dad and Nico at the table. I start filling my plate with biscuits and sausage gravy with a couple slices of bacon. I start, "So, dad, Nyla said you have some news about the rogue pack." Dad nodded, "The scouts finally found them. But we can't touch them." I asked, "W

I wake up the next morning with a smile on my face. It's my seventeenth birthday! I'm not really that happy about it, because I know my heart is going to be broken, in some way today. I know I will find my mate today. Not who which of us will do the rejecting, but I know it will be one of us. Not really too crazy about that idea, but that's kinda the story of my life, so far. Why should today be any different? Am I bitter about it? Not really. It's just the way it is. I have no control over it, and I can't change it. All I can do is go with it. I change into my leggings and sports bra and head straight to the gym. I'm well into my workout when mom and dad walk in. Dad comes walking up to me while I'm doing some pullups with my legs in front of me. He chuckled, "Your mother did those the first time I tried to work out with her. That's when I knew her core strength had to be harder than mine. I couldn't keep up." I laughed as I finished that one and got down from the pull up b
