Lahat ng Kabanata ng Loner to Luna Trilogy : Kabanata 161 - Kabanata 170

After Selene left, Conri pulled me to him, "Do you have any idea how much I respect you for everything you are doing?" I smiled and climbed up his body so that we are face-to-face, "No, but I do love the way that sounds." He chuckled, "You have been amazing me every day with something new that you are doing. The way you handled the Fae was nothing short of genius." I shrugged, "I don't know that it would've been that successful if Selene hadn't been with us." He insisted, "You're the one who did most of the talking. She just introduced us. That's all." I kissed him lovingly, "I appreciate all of your support and your love. It means everything to me." He smiled, "You will always have it, my Princess." "So," he continued, "Since we aren't going to have our date night tonight, how about we do it tomorrow night." I cringed, "I'm so sorry. I honestly didn't mean to do that." He waved his hand, "This is more important. We need to get rid of the threat against my other half.

After the meeting, Conri and I took my parents and Nico on a tour of our wing of the castle. I took them to the gym, and King Fenris walked in. He bragged, "Your daughter has taught me a few things. Not just fighting techniques either. She also showed me what I was doing to keep injuring my hamstring, and she showed me how to avoid it." Dad put his arm over my shoulder and beamed, "That's my girl." Then mom put her arm around my waist and rolled her eyes, "Please; if you would've had your way, she would've never learned to fight. That's MY girl." I rolled my eyes, "They've had this argument since I was ten and started training with the warriors." Conri and King Fenris laughed as Conri beamed, "She may be your girl, but that's MY baby," and pulled me away from both of them." They all laughed while I rolled my eyes again. When we got to the sitting room, Queen Eden was talking with Queen Nina. We all sat down as Queen Eden warned, "Ashina, you really need to watch yourself tom

I giggled, "You like it?" He jumped out of his seat and was in front of me, holding my hands in a heartbeat. He hissed, "If I had seen you in this on your birthday, there is no way we would've made it to the party. I don't want to go anywhere now. I want to take you straight to our room. Or even throw you on that couch." I gave him a glare and he held up his hands in surrender, "But I promised I would take you out on a date, so that's what we will do. I just can't guarantee how long my wolf will be able to stay put." I laughed, "You will be fine. Nyla is helping him stay calm." "If you say so," he said while shaking his head and running his hands up and down my sides, "Damn, woman, you are hot!" I laughed, "Yours is the only opinion that matters to me. I'm glad you like the outfit." He smiled, "Do me a favor, try to stay close to me. I will do anything you want me to, just stay close to me." I smiled, "I wouldn't want to be away from you. And you look very hot tonight too. I

Conri POV I walked into the room, and my heart almost stopped. I never thought I would see my badass mate in this condition. She's laying on her back, she is hooked up to so many machines, there is no way she can be comfortable. I am thankful she's breathing on her own, so I don't have to see her with the tube down her throat, but there is a tube going up her nose. I asked the doctor why and he explained, "Some of the silver is in her stomach. We have to filter it out with liquid charcoal. Hopefully we won't have to do it much more. It doesn't taste good, and she makes it very obvious that she doesn't like it." I asked, "Does she fight it?" He nodded and I smiled. "She fights anything she feels threatened by. I will talk to her." He agreed, "Th

The doctor agreed, "I will do that, my prince. I swear, I had no idea this would happen." I shrugged, "You have nothing to worry about. My grandmother already told me that I have one of the best doctors in the country looking after me." The doctor blushed, "While I do appreciate her vote of confidence, I believe she and I are pretty even. She may even be a smidge better." I chuckled, "Regardless, we do need to know who is supposed to be in my room and the nurses that are allowed in here, must be trusted with not only keeping my medical condition confidential, but with not being able to be bribed to kill me." The doctor gasped, "Good Heavens! We can't have that. We will initiate VIP protocol for you. I'm ashamed to say it hasn't been done yet. But, in my defense, I was busy trying to keep you alive." I nodded, "What is VIP protocol?" He explained, "We will have only one nurse, on each shift, taking care of you. That nurse will receive triple her normal pay during your stay wi
