EVA.  "I told you not to drop me here. " I hiss at Emerson as I unfasten my seatbelt before I turn to grab my bag from the backseat.  "And who are you trying to hide from?" He queries when I move back to my seat.  "I'm not hiding. It just feels... Weird?" I tell him as I duck my head from his gaze and Emerson drops his hand to my chin, tipping my head to meet his eyes. "Then you should get real with it because this isn't a one-time thing. " "It is. You won't be taking me tomorrow. I don't care what you use. " "Is that a challenge?" He raises a daring brow, the corners of his lips curving when I hum before I push forward to press my lips to his. "Take it as you feel. " I tell him when I pull back, attempting to move out but Emerson's hand slides to the back of my neck and he takes my lips in his again, not stopping the luscious attack of his lips and his tongue till

EMERSON. "Eva!" I call, attempting to rush after her as I watch her walk through the door, but a sudden grip on my wrist stops me and I turn around to see Paige; irritation flowing through me at the sight of her and the shit she just pulled. "Emerson—" she starts with a shaking voice, and I jerk her hold from my wrist, glaring at her as I speak, "What the fuck is wrong with you? Why the fuck did you do that?" "I–" she starts with a hiccup. "I'm sorry. I just– I didn't know what to do. I was there and you were here, and I needed you. I needed you to–" "You needed me and I was fucking here! I was here, Paige. I was doing all I could to be the comfort you needed and you thought it was okay to cross the line?" I raise a brow, my breath coming out in heavy pants and she shakes her head as she attempts to step closer, but one glare from me to her leg movement stops it. She swallows before she opens her mouth, "It wasn't enough, Emerson. It was never going to be enough. I needed more.

PAIGE. Blondie's eyes go wide after my palm makes contact with her cheek, not exactly feeling the pleasure I hoped it would bring. "What the fuck did you just do?" She let out as the books drop to her feet and I say, "I smacked you and trust me, I want to do so much more. " "Bitch, who the fuck do you think you are?" She snaps as she lunges towards me and grabs me by the arm. She pushes me till my back is to the wall and before she can lift her hand, I say, "Emerson told me to disappear out of his life. " The motion of her hand stills but she stays rooted to the spot. "Look here. I know what you think of me. I'm the one who's trying to take someone who isn't mine, " I let out and Eva loosens her hold on me, taking a step back. I heave a sigh before I continue, "It's not what you think and I'm not here for what you think I'm here for. Emerson and I... We share a bond. To me at least, we do. He was there when I needed someone; he was always there. " "He was there for you as a g

EVA. "I might be home late tonight, are you alright with that?" Emerson asks as I unfasten my seatbelt. I turn to him and say, "Why not? Are you leaving campus early?""Yes. I have to head over to Jaxon for some things. " He tells me and I nod, tearing my gaze away from his to grab my bag. "Is that okay with you?" Emerson inquires when I drop my gaze back to him and I nod, "Of course. Gives me more alone time to myself without you sniffing your face into my ass. ""Oh, babe, " he chuckles as he leans over the divider to grab my chin. "Have I ever mentioned how adorable you sound when you try to hide the truth from me?""I don't think I need to hide if it's—" Emerson's lips on mine shut me up and he stays for five seconds before he pulls back, "Make me dinner before I get back, yeah?""What am I? Your wife?" I snort out a laugh as I slap his hand from my chin and he sinks back in his seat with a knowing smile on his face. "No, you're something more. That sounds too low in comparison.

SAGE. Whoever said love is the greatest emotion of all and the best thing that could ever happen to anyone in their lifetime has got a fucked up viewpoint, because love is in fact the worst thing that could ever happen to anyone. We've all been taught to know the promising sides of love; the happiness and fulfilment it could bring. We've been forced to seek it out in our lives, when we should be staying away from it. Everyone says the good things about love, but no one said the horrible sides. The pain? The heartache? The way it easily fucks your entire being, messing with your mentality and your health? No one taught us about that. No one taught us that love would give us a slice of heaven, and a whole tide of hell. No one taught us that love will turn out to be your biggest catastrophe. Love doesn't heal; It hurts. It doesn't put you back together, it breaks you into pieces and leaves you to remain in that state. Being in love is one of the biggest regrets that I've ever had
