Why aren't you wearing your ring?
The time flew faster than expected, she didn't tell him anything about it. Although Charles wasn't going to give up on advising her, hoping that she'd listen to him and do what was right. After school he drove her back to the mansion. Charlene alighted from the car, she waved a hand at him cheerfully before making her way into the mansion. As usual maids were seen walking around, busy with one or two things but something wasn't right, Charlene concluded in her thought. The seriousness and their focus on what they were doing were quite different from the past two days she had spent in the mansion.   “Welcome back, ma'am.” A maid greeted, she was on her way heading toward the stairs but she halted. Charlene nodded once. “Would you like me to prepare the bathtub for your bath?”    “No, you don't have to.” She replied and took the elevator upstairs. Before walking into her room she halted at the doorway, she looked behind her and noticed th

Missing ring
Muddled, Kathleen stared intently at Charlene who was contemplating a perfect excuse to give everyone around the table. She ran her right hand on her left hand, she sluggishly moved it to her lap and grinned anxiously.  “I took it off this morning while I was taking my bath, I totally forgot to wear it after I was done.” She framed a lie and pouted her lips cutely. “Oh,” Luciana scoffed softly. “You know Charlene, it's your ring and you ought to wear it always.”  Charlene nodded her head docilely. She picked the cutlery and began to eat, she listened to their conversation but she never uttered a word even if a question was directed to her. She nodded to every question and shook her head if it was the perfect response to give. Finally everyone left, Charlene bid her parents goodnight before returning inside alone. She left Richard behind and went to their

She wants her wedding ring
She couldn't wait for them to reach the dormitory, she was restless and anxious. She wouldn't imagine the ring being sold out to someone else. Fiona led them to the dorm she knew they could find Tina, unfortunately she wasn't at her friend's place.  “Are we supposed to wait for her? What if she didn't show up? I want my ring today, I can't imagine going home without it.” Charlene seethed grimly. Javier informed Charles about the ring, he told them to go ahead he would catch up with them later. Fiona contemplating another place she could be then Sarah's residence rang in her head. She abruptly looked at Charlene. “I think I know another place. Sarah's apartment isn't far from here, we can probably catch up with her before she leaves. She usually goes there if she has nothing to do on campus.” Fiona enunciated thoughtfully. “Then we should head over now.” Charlene interrupted desper

My ring
“Get out of my office, Devyn!” Richard looked up at him with a cold face. He was upset because Devyn was distracting him and he never gave him a chance to focus on his work. Devyn laughed out loud mockingly, he tapped the tip of his index finger on his desk. “Did Charlene know you're cheating on her?” Devyn repeated the question again, he knew Richard might hit him for repeating the question but he wasn't going to stop until he answered him. “Get out!” He said in an imperative manner, he rose abruptly and glared at him. “I will once you answer my question.” Devyn sat comfortably in the chair and put his hands behind his neck. “I thought you've changed. Seriously, you still fuck around after getting a wife. Tsk, you never improve, Richard.” He hissed loudly. “The last time I checked I'm still single.” “S

All went wrong
Charlene laid in the bed without making any attempt. She would rather pretend to be sleeping than get up and share a glance with him. Ever since he returned home and found Miguel with her, she had been avoiding him as if both of them were never living together. Nevertheless it was what he wanted and she was going to respect his choice.  She could hear his footsteps approaching, perhaps coming out of the closet. Charlene closed her eyes tightly and adjusted in her sleeping position. Richard walked over to the bed, he picked his phone on the nightstand, just before walking out he looked over. There was no affection in his eyes, he looked at her plainly and tediously.  “We have a party to attend tonight, are you coming with me?” Richard said calmly, he knew she was pretending and he wouldn't bother to do as if he knew. He waited for her response but he did not get a word or sound from her. “Are you listening?”

A scandal
“What the hell is this?” He asked ferociously, while anticipating her response. Charlene hardly read the article. All she could see was the picture of her and Javier when he covered her with his coat. She ambled toward the sofas, and tiredly rested her butt on the head before looking up to see him boiling in anger again. She had no idea about the article which he read only, all she could assume was that he was back to his usual self. Pompous and grumpy. Richard clenched his fist tightly trying to stifle the desire to yell at her. Charlene maintained her calmness, she gazed at him steadily and parted her lips to speak. “Can you explain what the article is all about?” She enquired calmly while looking at him squarely. “You still don't get it, do you? Why in hell would you go to a public library?” He rasped surly as he couldn't suppress his anger. Charlene had to choke back an angry reply

You're stained
Her stomach was cramping so badly that she could barely hear what he was saying while he was tutoring her. Charlene tried to conceal the pain but tears trickled down her cheeks uncontrollably. Javier was perplexed, he had been asking her what was wrong ever since he noticed her state of discomfort. Fiona stared at her pitifully, just as Javier was helpless she was also helpless.  Charlene had been in pain ever since she woke up after a thirty minutes slumber, she woke up to the pain which arose deeply in her. She clenched her eyes close trying all she could do not to cry out. “Are you alright, Charlene?” Javier asked impatiently, he couldn't sit back and watch her while she was in pain. He sat closer to her, his eyes had become red due to fear that gripped his heart. When the pain subsided, she glanced up at his face and shook her head vigorously. “I'm fine, it's just a slight headache.” She

He's strange
She clutched onto the duvet close to her chest while staring at the ceilings. By the time she was fully awoken Richard wasn't in the bed with her, she concluded in her thought that he might be in the gym, naturally it was his weekend's routine. She was feeling much better the following day.  She yawned as she sat up in bed. She checked the radio clock on the nightstand, She sighed as she moved a hand to her phone, she unlocked it, she missed ten calls from Javier, a message from Charles imploring her to come over to the mansion. She rolled her eyes and returned her phone to the nightstand. Richard sauntered in, there was an earphone worn over his neck, he was wearing a white vest and jogger pants. He strolled to the nightstand, he put his phone, bracelet and the earphone on the nightstand. Charlene gazed at him cheerfully, she had something to say to him as she concluded it was the best time to start a conversation with him. Charlene sa

You're scaring him
Kathleen stepped out of her room just in time. It was Charles' voice that awoke her from her slumber, fortuitously she caught Charles about to descend the stairs, she called out his name calmly. “What's the matter? Is Charlene here?” Kathleen enquired as she stood looking at Charles. Charles halted, he glanced behind to see her already out. He pivoted promptly and shrugged his shoulders. “I don't know. She received a call just now and left my room in such a hurry without saying anything. I have to go after her.”  Charles didn't bother to wait for her approval or response, he descended the stairs and trudged out of the building. James was driving out of the mansion when he arrived outside. Charles cursed underneath, he had to go back in for his car key. He turned around and went inside.  He entered his room, he walked toward the drawer beside his bed, he drew it out a

“Should I book flight tickets for both of us?” Dolly asked immediately as she entered. Henrietta was walking toward her closet to get dressed. She halted in front of the door, she turned around and lifted her brow perplexingly. Dolly sighed softly, she believed Henrietta never checked the email she sent.“Tickets for what?” Henrietta eventually asked after a brief silence. She moved her hand to her hair to remove the towel she wrapped on her head.Dolly hit her forehead as she grumbled with frustration. She rolled her eyes and took a pace close to her. “Didn't you receive my email yesterday?”She frowned while drying her wet hair with the white towel. “Of course I did but I didn't have time to check it. Yesterday was really a terrible day, I'm still doing what I should be doing to get the contract. That manipulated bitch–” She seethed through gritted teeth.Dolly sighed, she knew who she was referring to. If it wasn't Maggie then it was no one. “Maggie?”“Who else? She's really a head
