Provoking him

Justin failed to understand Monica in any way. Yes, her sister's death brought sadness to the family. Everyone we're devastated when Alisa died but Monica had to understandNo matter how much they try to live in the past, there was always a future waiting for them to continue living but she thought Victor opening up to something new was him forgetting about Alisa"Sweetie, try to understand...I know and feel your pain but...Vic needs someone to get him out of depression" Justin murmured as he moved close to Monica and cupped the sides of her face. She cried uncontrollably and he hated seeing her in tears. Alisa was her only sister and the only family she had when she died so unexpectedly. Monica had it worse hence he understood how she felt"But...she loved him a lot...their marriage was forced by our parents but...she treated it like her life," she said with shortened breaths. Justin gripped her face even tighter and leaned close to her. She was trembling in his arms hence he wrapped

A bad morning

The next morning Victor woke up at his usual time. He had to go to the office and finish up some pending work he left although he knew his employees were capable enough to handle work without him around hence he took his time to get readyAfter a bad night of tossing and turning all because the picture of his Surrogate in the arms of another kept flashing before his eyes. The thought of his Surrogate getting together with Leo. Just the thought of it had him feeling rage and to get rid of the rage boiling in his blood. He decided to go for his morning workoutsIt was good to have a morning with noises around and after he was done with his workouts. He hit the shower and after getting ready he proceeded to look at some of his files. There was a knock on the door and breakfast was delivered"Sir... Ms. Beverly came in a while ago" Julia informed her boss as she set the tray of food on the table since Victor was sitting on his bed. Victor didn't even look up as he concentrated on the task

Angry like Victor

(Vivienne)"I'm trying to find out something…''Monica started as she stood by the dining table looking at me as if I committed a grievous sin. I looked at her for a while and turned to munch on my food. "What are you up to huh...I fail to understand you Vivienne" she added when I didn't say anything, she came to me and I was busy eating my evening meal. I had no idea what she was talking about hence I paused as I took a napkin and wiped my mouth and exhaled heavily"Monica...it seems you like me a lot...why are you bothering me?"I asked, feeling frustrated with her approach. I was having a good time eating for two since the baby was beginning to be a foodie and she just wouldn't let me be and now she was seeking trouble and then if I told her things she'd accuse me of being a troublemaker"I guess you like getting naked for men right," she remarked sarcastically and her words triggered some in. I was done tolerating a bitter woman like her hence with a hard slam of my palm on the tab

Swimming lessons

Vivienne)"Is it okay?"I asked and looked at my belly as doctor Maverick was running the probe on my belly. It had been a few weeks and I came for checkups. Victor was busy so I brought myself to the hospital"It's fine. I'm happy you came right away…" doctor Maverick said as he handed me a towel to wipe the jelly from my belly and I took it and did as required. He said I was okay"I'm glad then...tell me how to stop throwing up...it's become a problem now, "I said while wiping the jelly. For the past three weeks, I've been feeling bad, morning sickness as Maverick described it. Whenever I ate anything spicy or containing spices, I threw up. Any food with garlic made me feel nauseous and the smell of several perfumes did the same. I asked Justin and he said everything was normal, I just had to take care of myself. I couldn't even tell the grumpy man knowing he had a reason to touch me. For weeks I've been ignoring him like the plagues and he had turned extra grumpy"So...I'll prescrib

Fears of the past

(Vivienne)I made my way to the pool, the mansion was rather quiet with only security men present. It was cold and warm at the same time hence I hugged myself and walked to the pool areaIt was a little hidden, after what happened the last time, I haven't been to the pool but it seemed things have changed a little or I didn't see the entire pool area."Sir...are you here!"I called out to Victor when I reached and I didn't see anyone. I didn't even dare get close to the pool for fear of falling in hence I kept my distance and scanned the entire areaThe shallow pool was separated by a wall then the deep side where I fell last time. Looking further I saw that the water was flowing inside the pool from the boulders to the far side which appeared deeper and more hidden. It wasn't exposed the last time and the water wasn't coming out but looking at it, the water was raining down and looked breathtaking. "Wow like a waterfall"I muttered still admiring how beautiful the dark blue water appe

A forbidden fruit

(Vivienne)The swimming lesson was a hard one at first. I asked if I could get the floater just for comfort but unfortunately, the grumpy man refused me saying I could learn without children's stuff. Of course, that was him being sarcastic and I ignored him knowing I was at his mercy even though he forced me into doing what he wanted "Hehe...that's...that's enough I'm so done here", I said with chuckles and tried to get away from him. He was busy teasing me after three hours of teaching me some basics of swimming. I could move a distance without him guiding me although I was scared to move that farThe water was cold at first but after spending so much time in the pool. I felt comfortable and happy that Victor was starting to take advantage just because I let him do as he wanted"That's it for tonight...I think you are a quick learner" Victor said and pulled me towards the boulders hidden away making me gasp several times when he wrapped his arms around my body. I didn't know why Vi

A complication happens

"So sir this is our latest plan...with the upcoming project I'm sure our company will be on top, "the manager said as he showed the board of directors in the room and Victor, who was sitting in his boss chair, narrowed his eyes as he fixed them on the projector.Since morning he had been busy with work, attending meetings, and hosting lunch meetings and now they were in the conference room viewing the latest projects made by various departments. He trusted his employees knowing they would deliver nothing but the very best and sitting there as he listened to the department head present what they had. He was more than satisfied as he leaned his entire weight to the armrest supporting his chin with his hands. Beverly was standing to his right side since she was his trusted secretary. Several times her phone had been ringing but she cut it off. She didn't know why she was receiving so many calls when the meeting they had was an important one"And to conclude...this is the outcome of our w

Tell him the truth

(Vivienne)When I woke up, I couldn't move my body. Everywhere was hurting that it was so unbearable that I couldn't help but let out sounds"Careful...don't move too much"I heard Victor say and when I looked up, he was standing close to my bed supporting my back with his hands. I didn't know what happened but when I looked around. I saw that we were in a hospital roomThe sight of machines and the smell of medicine scared me and I became restless."It's...it's hurting...why is it hurting"I muttered trying, by all means, to keep calm but my abdomen was hurting so much that I closed my eyes, biting my lower lip to keep the pain at bay. "Shh...it's going to be fine, the painkillers have worn off" Victor whispered as he moved closer to me and sat on the bed, and pulled me in his arms. Victor sat beside me and wrapped his arms around my body. I ended up resting my head on his chest and exhaled heavily. I wasn't in control of myself"You'll be fine sweetie...I can't give you an injection

Her parents

(Vivienne)It was best Victor didn't find out about my age. It didn't matter to me and I knew it wouldn't to him. Looking at him staring at me with narrowed eyes, I feared he heard what we were discussing but if he did then he would have lashed out not asking questions, and when Leo glanced at me. I blinked helplessly hoping he didn't tell Victor anything"Well... d...she wants to get out of here but I well...I asked her to tell you the truth that...she doesn't like it here" Leo beat me to it before I could answer. Although he was stammering while making up the lie. I saw Victor's knitted brows go back to normal and I knew he didn't care"It's crowded here...leave now you are not needed here," Victor said bitterly and walked to my bed. I saw Leo nod without question"Sweetie I'll come by tomorrow...please take care of yourself"Leo turned to me and said with a smile. Caressed my forehead and traced his hand to the sides of my face. All my life I've never seen anyone show concern over a

Secret affairs

As soon as Victor left the room his Surrogate was in, he let out an exhale as he ran his hand in his hair not sure what to do about the woman. She was a pain in the neck and someone she didn't want around."Have we met before?" he muttered the same question she asked him. Everything was mixed up with him. Siince when did he find any other woman attractive other than Alisa. He loved his wife no matter what but in just a matter of months his Surrogate broke a few walls he had built around himself and he didn't like thatShe was way too outspoken and the mistake he made was giving in to his urges. Especially the urge to kiss her. Her lips were so soft and kissing her was something he craved since that night he got her out of the pool and gave her mouth to mouth. He was always in control of himself but recently. His feelings and body were obeying a certain rule and he failed to understand which rule that was"Hey, Vic...you should go home and rest. I'll stay with her, "Monica said as she
