Today is the D-day.After we had breakfast, mom and I went to the spa. We had our body polish before we styled our hair. After that we did our make up there. By the time we came back home, it was already after three in the afternoon. The charity event starts at five thirty. We have more than an hour to get ready.“Okay hurry up and get dressed. We are almost late!”. Mom said and hurried into her room. Typically mom.I went into my room and wore my dress, shoes and jewelry. I stood to look at myself in the mirror. I actually look like a real life princess.I hurriedly video called my friends in Australia. I kept the phone on the table and moved back a little so that they could fully see my dress.“Yo!”,“Guess who remembers us today.”“What’s up!”. They all said when they finally connected to the video call.“Greetings to all of you too!”. I saluted them.“Who are you?”. Joyce asked me.“What do you mean by that?”. I asked her.“Where is Claire and why are you answering her phone?.” E

Claire POV~A week came and pass and today is the day of our date. When I have earlier told mom and dad that I am going out on a date, they where beyond shock and kept saying they want me meet the guy that changed my mind about the whole dating of a thing. Is not as if I told I don’t to date or some. It’s just my parents being parents.I asked Xander where we are going to and he say it’s a surprise and ask me to wear a dress. I wore a simple fitting red dress that has cut on both shoulders. I pair the outfit with a golden sandal heels.I went down stairs am found mom and dad interrogating Xander.“Mom! Dad! Stop embarrassing me!.” I said as I announce my presence. They all turned to look at me.“O my daughter is already grown up!.” Mom said and wipe away fake tears from her eyes.I rolled my at eyes at her and waved to Xander. He is wearing a short levees shirt and dark blue jeans.“We will get going now!.” I announced and I heard Xander sighed in relief.“Okay young man, no funny bus

Early the next day, I called Xander and Alissa’s phone but it was not reachable.I kept trying it all through the day, but it never went through. The next day being Monday, I could not wait to go to school. I hurried to the school and found their car park empty. That is very strange. Maybe they are getting late or so I thought. But to my surprise, the day came and ended with no sign of them. I took courage and went to the principal’s office and asked them. The principal told me that they have all arrived for the burial of a distant cousin and won’t be back until a week after. Deep down in my heart, I knew that it was a lie. I remember the week I came to school and they were all absent. Something is definitely fishy about the whole family if they are actually a family as they say they are. The thing that hurts me the most is that they can’t even call me or text me to inform me where they are.“Do I really know the guy I am dating?”. I questioned myself. The week passed with me being

“Claire are you coming?.” Alissa asked.“Yes sure!.” I got the hold of myself as I followed her to the mighty building. The building is too big to be even called a mansion. I understand why people refer to it as a palace. It is five stories high and is done in a curved shape. At the center of the water fountain is a large sculpture of a wolf.Alissa opened the double door and I entered the house after her. I suck in a breath when my eyes look around the building. The walls of the house are made of gold. There are long chandeliers lit at every point of the high ceilings. At the end of the hallway is a grand double staircase. The floors are made up of expensive marble. Everything in the house screams expensive.“Xander is in his room, we will head there now”. Alissa said and led us to an elevator. Of course they will have an elevator. What do I expect? They pressed on the button of the last floor and in no time we were there. They lead us to the east wink of the building. We soon reach
