Carissa’s face was red and her eyes blurry as a result of the tears that had welled up in them. She kept writing, pouring out her heart and narrating her desires. For a while, her journal became her place of rest and peace. She had no one to talk to about her pains and wants because none of them would understand from her perspective. However, her journal was one thing that wouldn’t judge her or debunk her thoughts and opinions. As such, she derived great joy in writing whenever she felt so overwhelmed and deserted.Carissa couldn’t get enough sleep all through the night. She kept tossing on her bed, thinking of Stan and wondering what her life would be like. This caused her to become restless and when she was unable to take it anymore, she picked up her journal and decided to write.“Hey journal, all I want is peace and despite how much I crave it, I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Maybe, I would find peace if I set my eyes on Stan again”, she wrote down on the journal as more tears

Stan yelled for the hundredth time since he entered the bathroom. He couldn’t keep mute because his heart was on fire. The only thing that rang in his head was how Carissa had ignored him last night. It pierced his heart deeply that all he wanted to do was disappear and never return.“Hey baby!” He heard Kiara’s loud voice.“What the hell!” He muttered as he turned back in shock. He was clad in only a towel and didn’t realize that she was waiting for him in the living room.“What are you doing here?” He asked with a massive frown on his face as he walked back to his room. After some minutes, he came out again, clad in a gray pants and black sweatshirts. He heard some sounds in the kitchen and quickly made his way there, with his fists clenched in anger.“Kiara!” Stan bellowed angrily as he saw her preparing scrambled eggs that had gotten burnt.“Can you turn off the cooker?” Stan asked, but trudged further when he didn’t see her making any effort to do as he had said.“I’m only trying

Ethan sat on the chair in his office as he rolled on it while smiling in satisfaction. He had just struck a massive deal with a company and the account of his company was booming with money. “Can I come in, sir?” He heard a voice outside the door and almost immediately, his door opened and someone barged in.“I didn’t say that you could come in!” Ethan barked angrily as the secretary walked into the office with her head lowered to the ground.“I’m so sorry sir, I couldn’t stop him from coming in”, she said apologetically while Ethan gestured for her to leave the office.“You should apologize for barging into my office that way. I’ve told you severally, if you want to meet me, then do it responsibly”, Ethan said sternly while Wilson smirked and broke into loud laughter.Wilson was a friend of Ethan and the direct assistant to Ethan’s father. They had gotten separated after Ethan and his family moved into another city. However, luck shone on them the moment they realized that they had

“Hey Dad!” Kiara yelped excitedly as she pulled her father into a warm hug.Stan stood by the corner as he watched the father and daughter moments that didn’t seem to please him.His mind was encircled on Carissa and with each minute that passed, the thoughts of her became worse. He had thought that she would wait for him a little longer, just for some more time. He needed to lay his hands on a huge amount of money, and that would have never happened if he didn’t do what he did.For the first time since the day he walked away from Carissa, he felt a sting of regret.“Babe!” Kiara called out as she gestured for him to walk closer.Stan slowly trudged towards them, flashing a widesmile on his face and trying so hard to pretend.“You appeared quite odd a minute ago, is everything okay?” Mr. White asked with a slight frown on his face.“Yes sir, I’m great”, Stan replied and smiled again, with Kiara clinging to him as though she were a baby.“We should go in, dinner is served”, Mr. white

“Next six months?” Stan screamed on top of his voice, causing Kiara and her father to turn a sharp gaze at him.“I’m sorry, I was just quite surprised”, he said and chuckled nervously.“I understand that it’s too far, but at this point, we should work with what she has chosen”, Mr. white said as he continued munching on the chicken wings he had on the plate.“Eat your food”, Kiara whispered and nudged on Stan, whose attention was far away from them.“I should go out and get some air”, he excused himself and walked out of the dining hall, with Kiara exchanging glances with her father.“Do you think I said something wrong?” Kiara asked her father, with a gigantic frown on her face. She dropped her fork on the plate and folded her hands to her chest, clearly disturbed by how Stan had reacted.“He is fine, perhaps he needed some air like he said”, he said calmly and gestured on her to move further with her meal.“What if he leaves me like the others?” Kiara asked as tears welled up in her
