Chapter 41

WOLF POV“How are things with Kim?” I intoned handing Ken a bottle of beer before sitting down on the plush couch beside him. He took a good swig of liquor and then gave out a loud sigh of appreciation as if he was savoring the taste before he could reply.“Haven’t heard from her since.” He shrugged off casually and then chucked down another good amount. Nodding, I took a gulp of my own and then placed the bottle on the coffee table. Shortly after Sky left, Ken called asking if it was okay to spend a night here. He’s been my friend since forever and Sky was cool with him, so I didn’t find any reason to say no to him. Despite my best friend being here, I couldn’t stop checking the clock to see how much time has passed since Sky left. I didn’t want to be so obvious because of the company I had, I swear I would not hear the end of it if Ken knew I was being so antsy because of Sky. But in all honesty, I just wanted her to come home. That’s all.And no I wasn’t being clingy. I am sure as

Chapter 42

KEN POVStepping into what looked like a world of Pink instead of a bedroom, we stumbled on some stuffed toys that were left lying on the floor before we could huddle to the bathroom. I didn’t have time to look around the room but I knew right away there was just too much innocence in here.We stepped into the bathroom and I worked with everything inside of me to keep Diego up while I buttoned down his dress shirt to ready him for his bath. All of a sudden, Sky came flying through the door with eyes snapped wide causing me to chuckle. You could have sworn that she was going to stop world war 11.“Hey…” She breathed out loud as she stepped in to help. Well, I could use some help undressing him. Just how the hell does someone get this drunk? To a point where he couldn’t even stand up on his own?“I kind of forgot to tell you that you can massage his feet to make him feel better. I mean, it’s his soft spot. I used to hate feet but I eventually learned how to love them.” She attempted a s

Chapter 43

WOLF POVWhen all was said and done, we gathered around the living room and had our dinner. Having my best friend and someone I called ‘my wife’ all sitting together kind of reminded me of how lucky I was to be still alive. It was funny how we all took small things for granted, while the sole fact was that they were what mattered the most. This life was way too short to think and stress over big things, while we had miniature moments to appreciate and make do with.Although Sky’s mind was on her best friend more than it was on the food and on us, I was just happy that I got to dine with them. Truly, this year I had a lot to be thankful for, and for the very first time, I looked forward to Thanksgiving. It may have started off on the wrong foot, but I had a lifetime to right the wrongs and make up for all the pain I have caused. It may sound all cheesy and shit, but I was long off the bachelor’s record. If a year ago someone came up to me that I would be HAPPILY married, I would have sp

Chapter 44

SKY POVDays blurred into weeks and weeks into months. Diego slowly healed from the pain of the relationship that fell apart and began to be more of himself. I was glad because he was not what I had expected. I couldn't even begin to stomach the kind of situation he was in. The idea of giving your all to someone, for a whopping 4 years and giving them what they could ever want, only to be stabbed in the back in such a cruel, diabolic way... Heck, I would have been behind bars. Kudos to him and his self-control. Although I should say, someone else had to take the credit for all that.Had it not been because of Kennedy, I am sure as hell Diego would still be spiraling down the abyss of hurt and pain without really moving forward. But Ken was there, keeping him busy and not even letting his mind wander about the realms of pain. One thing I had come to notice was the fact that they had grown too close, too close to even come between them. And all I ever wanted was for Diego to be happy,

Chapter 45

SKY POVLater that night, we laid in a tub of hot water in our big luxurious bathroom, with my back against his broad chest and his arms around me. The atmosphere was so damn cozy with scented candles burning around us, casting a warm and radiant glow around us while bathing us in a sensual yet relaxing scent. The lights were off, but everything was just so perfect.I never took Kayden for a romantic type, but hands down ladies and gentlemen; that man knew how to appreciate a woman. He knew how to make me feel all mushy and damn giddy because of how he handled me. I was like this glass jewel that would break at any moment if he became rough even for a little bit. Don’t get me wrong, Kayden WAS NOT A SOFTIE. He was the polar opposite of the soft guys. But he knew how to be low, cool, and down to earth for me.He was as rough as it gets with everything and everyone, but when it came to me, he transformed into this giant puppy that was so damn clingy and fuckin’ cute, while still managin

Chapter 46

KEN POVThe whole house was in golden silence. Trust me if someone dropped a needle, we would all hear its sound as it made contact with the ground before lying flat. Even from where I was standing with Diego's hand in mne, I could hear Kim's labored breathing.I didn’t know what to feel. At first, when my eyes landed on her, saw her face after what felt like millennia since she left, my heart hammered against my chest painfully, so painful that I couldn't breathe. But that feeling quickly morphed into anger as I watched her, still standing there, frozen in one spot like she had seen a ghost. I wanted to scream, to throw something at her, or tell her to go to back to hell where she came back from, but I couldn't lose my cool in front of everyone. Especially HIM!But fuck, all this time, she never bothered to call or text, she never bothered to reach out, and she had to fuckin’ resurface today from wherever the pits of hell she came from. The sound of throat clearing sounded from my

Chapter 47

SKY POV“Well, that went well,” I said from the driver’s seat, turning to look at Kayden who had his face buried in a cookie tray that Diego packed him for the go, and then busted out chuckling. He didn’t bother with much of the response because he was busy enjoying his cookies and I left him at it. I didn't blame him; those cookies always have me speaking in tongues from how good they are! Diego knew his shit... The drive from Ken’s place was pretty much uneventful, and as soon as he finished with his cookie, we broke down all that had happened. I never took him for a gossip monk but dang it; that man knew how to serve my tea just the way I liked it.We arrived home and freshened up a little before going to bed. I was a little tired after driving and needed to save the little ounce of energy left in me for tomorrow. I know he did all he promised to do but I still couldn’t help but feel antsy about the whole thing. I mean bigger brands always got the best of everything and as for us

Chapter 48

WOLF POVWhen the storm of shock curbed, Diego, Sky, and I piled into the car and left for the airport, leaving Kennedy behind to deal with his ex-Medusa' phantoms and wantons. To say Kim is unpredictable would be an underestimate of a lifetime. As much as I would say her attempt to un-alive herself was justified, that didn’t explain why she called Sky when she had second thoughts. I mean Sky and her were not even on the threshold of being close. The last time they even sat together in one room was when Sky reined hell on her for the… you know what. And since then, I have no recollection of them ever talking. So believe me when I say I was shocked. But everything about this was just as wildering and the fact that they had Sky dragged into the middle of it made me want to dismember someone. I mean, I get it. For someone who has been your anchor for so long, to suddenly move on and find confinement in somebody else’s arms instead of yours sucks elephant balls. Kim and Ken were the clas

Chapter 49

SKY POVAlmost before we could strip our clothes, Kayden’s hands were all over my body like they were on a mission. There was something about the way he touched me that always managed to set me on fire. The sensation was all too intense that there was no getting used to it, despite how many times we have done it.I would be lying if I say I know what our ‘shower’ went like. I don’t even remember any part of it. All I know is that a few heartbeats later, he had my wet, naked body wrapped around his as he carried us to the bedroom. I was all over his face that I didn’t even have the time to appreciate the night view. I wanted one thing, and one thing only. Him, all of him. He released me just long enough to lower me onto the bed before he climbed onboard, after me, then settled right in the cradle between my legs, rubbing his now hard dick against my wet slit. I don’t know what it was that got me dripping, but I was so damn ready I could take him at any moment. He gave me a wry smile th

Chapter 50

SKY POVThe following day was a true definition of chaotic. Although Monica took care of almost everything along with her crew, there were loose ends that needed tying, and only I could do them the way I wanted. So I woke up with a start, left Kayden fast asleep in our million-dollar suite, and left to survey the showroom and all the other things. The real show was set to start a little in the afternoon, but I couldn’t sit on my ass and do nothing all day long. The morning hours were filled with me correcting the little mistakes left by the crew and me parading the streets of Manhattan looking for this and that. I shot a text to Diego letting him know that I was up and about, and he responded by telling me that he would join me in about an hour. After my little stroll around the streets, I stopped at the showroom and just sat down, absorbing my surrounding. To say that it was smashing would be an understatement of the century. It was located right at the heart of Manhattan where the st
