Rosaline woke up to a warm embrace. She looked up to see William gazing at her.“You are awake,” She mumbled, hugged him, and went back to sleep.William was dumbfounded at her reaction. Before he could react, Rosaline woke up with a start and nearly knocked him out of bed.He was even more speechless.“I must admit you do take good care of patients,” He teased as he made himself comfortable on the bed, avoiding the fall.“Are you okay? Did I hurt you?” Rosaline ignored his sarcasm as she asked in concern.“I’m fine. You did not hurt me. Just startled me, that’s it,” William replied seriously.“I’m sorry. I was sitting by the bed. How did I get into your bed?”“That would be my doing. You were sleeping so uncomfortably.” “Why would you do that? You have wounds all over your body. What if they had torn? You could have just woken me up.”“I’m fine. Don’t worry.”“Why did you remove your bandages?”Rosaline became alarmed as she noticed the visible bandages on his neck were gone.“I wan

Rosaline smiled at William to soothe him.She tried to reason with Anabella.“Aunty, we don’t know each other. But I do hope you will grant me the courtesy of introducing myself to you and getting to know each other. You can’t possibly know me based on other people’s lies or exaggeration.”“People? Is that the way you treat your family? You call your blood sister - people. No wonder even your parents don’t love you.”“That’s where you are wrong, Aunty. If there’s one thing I can confidently say about my parents, it is that they have always loved me. Besides, a relationship is a two-way street.”“You are eloquent; I must give you that. You say a relationship is a two-way street. When your sister treats you well, you refer to her as an outsider.”“How exactly did my sister treat me well? By taking pictures of me with William and showing it to you all as proof of me cheating on William? Or did she personally tell you what a bitch or slut or liar or shameless person I am? I wonder how tho

On the other hand, Supriya had a hard time digesting the truth.‘He said he loves her. They fooled me with the truth. They are dating and still canceled their engagement. What a scheme!’She was furious. To add insult to injury, she did not even get to have her way with William and was interrupted by Pete, of all people.Thankfully, she had the foresight to hide her camera before the police showed up.She acted as naturally as possible, claiming that William was the one who dragged her to his room. He looked like he was not himself, and she could not leave. She had hurt him in self-defense.And what Pete and Tristen saw was not her trying to kiss him but her shoving him away when he finally passed out.It was her words against theirs.William was unconscious and had yet to file a complaint. They could only leave after telling her to stay in town and show up when called for further questioning. When they all left, she cried her eyes out for Anabella’s shake.Tom had been immune to he

William smiled at Rosaline. She cared more than she let on.“I’m fine. It’s just itchy, that’s all.”“Do you want to cold compress the wounds? I think it helps reduce itchiness and inflammation. Though I am not sure if it’s advisable for open wounds.”“That’s alright. Can you help me remove the dressing?”“Why?”“It’s not that bad. I just had it bandaged for the show. As long as I apply antiseptic, don’t scratch it or get it wet, there’s no need to dress it.”“Are you sure? I think it’s safer to leave it be.”“I am sure. I feel like a Mummy right now.”“Hahaha!” “Let me grab the first aid.”“Thank you!”Rosaline removed all the bandages and was shocked at the wounds. It went all around him - under his neck, waist, v-line, back, arms, and legs.Though the wounds were not too deep and had already closed up, they still looked ghastly. She carefully applied antiseptic ointment and sprayed antiseptic power over it.“This must have hurt.” “Not really. I was intoxicated, and my head was ful

William noticed her actions and hid her clothes. He sprang from the bed, went to the wardrobe, and pulled out a slip dress.“Put this on!” William said.Rosaline looked at the bright yellow slip dress with a simple v-cut neckline. It was long enough to reach her knees. She turned it over only to find it backless. “Do you want me to wear this at home?”William nodded several times like a child.“I am not wearing this.”“Wear it for me, please,” William pleaded. “How about I wear it when we go out later?”Rosaline proposed a compromise. “Don’t even think about wearing a backless dress when outside.”He suddenly went from docile to stern.“You were the one who bought it. I rarely buy backless dresses for myself.”Rosaline snapped at him.“I wanted you to wear it for me only,” William argued. “And why would I do that?” Rosaline was going mad. “Because it’s convenient to kiss you in this dress. Besides, bright colors suit you.” William replied truthfully. “You!” Rosaline felt like he
