EVANORA’S POV: It was funny how the strangest of places could bring you a sense of peace you never knew that you lacked. With the light breeze blowing through the forest and the sweet chirping of birds, I sang to my heart’s fulfillment a melody that I knew too well. Afterall, my mum had drilled these lyrics into me while growing. As the music poured out straight from my soul, my chest felt heavy. Maybe because everything about this particular song reminded me of my dead mother. Her face. Her voice. Her laughter. Her last words to me. ‘My brave little girl, Evanora. My angel.’ She’d died when I was just 16 and that was all it took to break the last fragment of my life that still made sense. I believe that was when I had my first taste of this harsh reality. I was forced to work multiple jobs, pay endless bills and dedicate every last shred of my existence to just surviving. Sighing softly, I reached out to the locket on my neck that was a fond reminder of the life I shared wit

FEW HOURS BEFOREBLADE’S POV:Fuck! Those words invaded my mind the second my eyes snapped open. They moved on their own accord to the source of my building arousal and unrivaled pleasure.Down by my groin, the familiar strawberry blonde curls of Natalie - my personal maid - came to view with her pink lips wrapped generously around my cock. A wave of delicious shivers shot up my body, similar to the ones that had woken me up, as I watched this seductive woman suck on me with lust-filled dedication that showed that all she wanted in this blissful moment was to please me.As it should fucking be.I let out a guttural groan, swearing softly under my breath when Natalie plunged my cock deep into her tight throat before bringing it out and swirling her tongue in an erotic dance on its tip, then repeating the process of running the length down her throat - deeper than before.Fuck, she was a naughty little devil - just the way I loved my women.Natalie’s head suddenly sprang up, much to my

EVANORA’S POV:‘I’m a vampire, Evanora, and you’re one too.’Even hours after King Demetrius had said those words to me, nothing still made sense. How could it? When just 24 hours ago, my biggest problem were the impatient customers who waited in line at the coffee shop I worked in.But now, in just a space of hours, everything had changed.I’d been forced to see things different, to be introduced into the supernatural world ruled by vampires and werewolves, to come face-to-face with the fact that King Demetrius Giovanni was my father. The vampire king too.You know, mother hated to talk about him. No matter how much I bugged her on who my dad was, she’d always say that it was best I didn’t know. Now, I wonder if she knew…about him being a vampire. Maybe about me being one too. I crawled deeper under the bed’s duvet, numb and wanting nothing more than to disappear and go back to a time in my life when everything made sense. When my mum was still here with me. King Demetrius had ask

EVANORA’S POV:Blade. That was his name, and it was an ironic thing that even with the chaos unfolding right infront of me, a part of me stayed fixated on that. Somehow, it seemed fitting that that was his name. Afterall, the man seemed to be sharp-edged, reeking of danger and wicked intentions.Even at the moment, with his teeth bared at his mother and claws digging into the table where he clung so painfully to, as if it held the strings of restraints that stopped him from diving over and ripping into her.His own mother. And for what? Because of me?All this because of my presence?I sunk further into my skin, willing myself to disappear while my heart raced in fear. Not just because of Blade’s anger that rolled down his back in turbulent waves, but mostly because of the murderous glance his mother kept cutting my way.She looked at me like I was dirt, a pest. Something to be hated and squashed to the ground with no remorse. That scared me. “Are you even hearing yourself? You soun

EVANORA’S POV: Damn, he was a good kisser. In that sweet moment, with Blade holding dearly onto me and our breaths mixed in par, we were locked in a tango of our own. His lips moved deliciously against mine, drowning me in a sea of heated desire.Blade kissed me like his life hung on getting a taste. He pulled me in and I leaned further, not helping the moans that escaped my lips. His warm hands grazed down my body and in a blink, he lifted me off the ground, dropping me on the counter top.I was intoxicated by everything about him. Right then and there in that kitchen, I was addicted to his minty tongue that danced against my lips, nibbling, biting and sucking away every bit of my sanity. Heat pulsed through my body, my skin was on fire and my arousal pooled in my panties.I moaned into his lips and that seemed to drive him further. He drew me closer to himself, grunting hungrily like a starved beast, and trailed his hands up my thighs, sending thrills of dangerous shivers up my sk
