Lahat ng Kabanata ng Insatiable Desires: Kabanata 61 - Kabanata 70

TiaWhen Luke and I retired, we wanted to get back all the time we lost attending to pack issues, so we travelled and, for a while, never stayed home, believing our children were taking care of everything. Now I know we were wrong. Aesop was always there for Luke and Caleb. No matter how messed up it was, he was always there to hold their hand and guide them, despite the crazy breakfasts and Stacy's erratic behaviour, which ended up being her cry for help. However messed up it seemed, the fact still remains that he was there through it all.Luke and I wanted to spend time together. We wanted to return to the days when it was just us, and we got carried away, leaving our children to deal with their issues alone.David and Emily wouldn't have made progress if we had been around long enough and if we had made ourselves accessible. Luke was too strict for his good, and I just went along with it sometimes, thinking it was for the best. It made our children afraid of us and unwilling to

Olivia. Emma came to the room an hour after James left. I was happy to hang out with her because she was warm and friendly. As much as I noticed Chloe had changed, she still scared me. I wondered how they found out about David and Emily, or maybe they had known all along. I was glad she was out of prison because I knew locking her up got to James and added to his stress. "Goddess, you look like shit," Emma said, sitting on the couch in the room, and I giggled. "Try being Caspian's prisoner for a month and see how well you do," I said, and she raised her hand, surrendering and shaking her head. "No, please, thank you," She said and winked at me. "Congratulations, by the way," She said, and I smiled at her. "You are lucky, you know," Emma said, and I nodded. One thing I was sure of was that no one gets away from Caspian, but my mother and I had gotten away. I was grateful for it. Thinking of the day David took me to Eastwood, I thought I could handle it. I thought I could man

James. Chloe and Dwayne walked into my office after Paul and I had finished discussing, and I noticed Dwayne was exhausted, but my sister had no mark on her neck. "That was sick," Dwayne said to me, and I could not smile because that would be insensitive to do after having a sensitive discussion with Paul. "What was sick?" Paul asked him with a half smile. "The bastard wouldn't do what we requested, so James came up with the bright idea of skinning his third leg with silver," he said, and Paul widened his eyes and looked at me. "That was sick. I am sure you came up with that because of Mom and uncle Kirk," he said, smiling, and I nodded. "Congratulations," I told my sister, who was beaming with joy and rubbing her bare neck. " We want to have a small wedding this Saturday," Chloe said, and I looked at her. "You saw what mom did when Emma was getting married. I am sure now that you are getting with the right person, she would want to go big," I said, and she nodded. "I know, bu

James "What is the matter?" Olivia asked me while I dressed so I could go to the hospital. "Pack matters. I want to check on an injured shoulder in the hospital; there's no cause for alarm, darling." I said, and she stood up. "I want to come," she said, and I shook my head. "You need to rest. We have had a hectic day, Olly. Please. I will be back before you know it." I told her, and she reluctantly agreed. I went to her and pulled her close, then kissed her lips sweetly. "I will be back before you know it, darling. I love you," I said, and she wrapped her arms around me. "Be careful, James. It is too late in the night, and Caspian is a sick bastard," she said, and I could see she was still afraid of Caspian. I did not know what he did to her when she was with him, but I hope one day she will open up about it so we can heal together. I lifted her chin with my hand to look into her eyes. "You are with me now. Do not be afraid of Caspian, and don't worry about him doing anything

James We arrived at the base, and everyone was gearing up to leave for the mission. We did not know what to expect, especially since a traitor had given us the information, but we were hopeful. I noticed my mother and Uncle Caleb were preparing two vans to drive us to Trent, so I approached to question them. "Why are we driving to Trent?" I asked, and my mother raised an eyebrow. "So you want Caspian to know you visited Trent, which shares a forest with Eastwood?" She asked me, making my question sound stupid. But I was really in a hurry, and I did not see anything wrong with taking a chopper to Trent. "I am in charge of the rest of Woodclaw. Our agreement does not state I am not allowed to fly to other parts of Woodclaw. Besides, Trent is far from Eastwood. He wouldn't think much of it," I said, and uncle Caleb smiled. "Do you think Caspian is stupid enough not to keep an eye on our activities? If you land in Trent, he would want to know why you are in Trent. It is the art of w
