Ghost Chefs のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

How do I tell her that I wasn't talking to anyone on the phone but rather there's a ghost in my office and we were having a discussion? That's going to sound silly and crazy. No one in their right state of mind is going to believe that. I know I've told Cassie before now that there were ghosts in my house but what if she didn't take me seriously. Yes, she is my best friend and all but there's a limit to what someone can believe.Let's be logical here, you can't just tell your best friend that you saw pigs flying and then she will believe it because both of you are friends. So, I decided to go with whatever she had concluded. ‘Yeah, I was talking with someone on the phone."“Arright, so I'm Just going to give you the highlights of the information I have gathered on Maria,“ She started, getting down to business."Good."“So,“ Cassie began. “Maria De Capo worked as an art editor at our company for ten years. Got promoted twice to the head of the art department and then Managerial posit

The cab pulled up to a luxury shop on the fifth avenue. I gave the cab driver his money, tipping him in the process before I opened the door and came down. "Remind me why we are at a luxury shop again?“ Drew asked. “Because the recent clue led us here“ I replied ‘"I don't see the connection, Amanda,“ he stated. “How does our story connect with a luxurious boutique?“ He asked. "That's what we are here to find out," I replied as I began walking towards the door of the Mall “And lest I forget, it's not a boutique but a mall." I corrected him."I don't see the difference," Drew muttered before continuing with his speech. "There's a boutique in the mall and we are clearly headed towards it,“ he pointed out.I snorted. "That's because it's on the first-floor dimwit.“ “Are you here to get a change of wardrobe?“ Drew asked as I got to the door of the boutique. I opened the door and got inside before giving him a reply. "That wouldn't be a bad idea. Since I'm here already, I might as wel

“You know, I'm so happy that I could literally kiss you right now,“ I Informed Drew happily. He had an amused look on his face and I couldn't help but ask. ‘What?" I asked. "Nothing," He replied, still smiling.“Why are you staring at me like I said something stupid?" "Probably because you did say something… hot but definitely, stupid," he muttered.I scrunch my nose when I realized something. “Oh, I forgot you're a ghost.“ “Yes, I am and I've got two brothers who are ghosts also,“ He reminded me. “But that doesn't mean you can't be kissed,“ I said. “I can see you, speak to you and even touch you,“ I explained “So? That doesn't explain anything,“ Drew countered. “Actually, it does.“ I insisted. "Can you explain what you're implying?""I'm not implying anything. Rather, I'm just trying to conclude reality. You can be kissed,‘ I stated firmly. Honestly, I don't know why I'm having this argument with Drew. I can see people starting to give me a confused stare as they pass by. Th

"That wasn't just a mere shout," Calvin whispered to Mason. “Yeah, I know. It sounded like something terrible happened," Mason replied, pondering on what could have happened in the few moments Drew left them. “What do you think happened?“ Calvin asked Mason. “How am I supposed to know? I was right here with you, remember?“ “Let's ask Drew then," Calvin suggested.Mason gave his younger brother an eye roll. “Why are you so dense? We just asked him and he said nothing. It's probably something embarrassing that's why he doesn't want to tell us.“ he muttered."I believe you guys are aware that I can hear you?" Drew interrupted. Calvin smiled, “Oh, we weren't trying to hide it from you.“ Drew decided to ignore his brothers and meandered out of the sitting room completely. Calvin and Mason, on the other hand, didn't notice his total absence as they were both caught up in figuring out what happened between Amanda and their elder brother. Drew had two options at the moment. Either he l

Drew stood at the side watching the emotions on Amanda's face flutter. It was obvious that she was having an internal struggle on whether to seek his help or not. But they both knew that it was only a matter of time before she would bend to the will of her stomach. Although she had been having culinary lessons with Drew and sometimes his brothers, she was still not perfect enough to be left in the kitchen alone. As if the heavens were against her, there was a low grumble from her stomach making Drew snicker. Amanda sent him a deathly glare which he returned with a mischievous smirk. She knew that he was enjoying the moment and waiting for her to seek his help. Amanda thought of forgoing her choice of having scrambled eggs and toast for dinner and settling for just ordering pizza. But, the thought of having something different superseded her courage to pick up her phone and make the call. Admitting defeat, she turned towards Drew who had a triumphant smile on his face. She wished
