Crossing the Line
GioLast night had been rough. Each day that passed, having to see Bianca with Felix was that much worse than the last. It made Gio wonder how much longer he could take being here. But then they'd have another one of their moments, and the more urgent question became how in the hell would he ever bring himself to leave? He couldn't decide which was worse: having to see her with Felix or never seeing her again—at least only as often as he ever saw Felix, which, if he wasn't training him, was only every six months or so.Felix had left early that morning. Gio hadn't even been up when he left, and if he had been, he would've pretended not to be. Felix would be gone for almost two days. The last thing Gio wanted was to witness their long goodbye. After taking a shower, he called his mom to check in. She'd asked him to call at least once a day, so he figured he'd get it out of the way now. Then he called Jack. The night of Noah's dinner, Jack had discreetly asked him to call him when he

Worth the Risk
Knowing that getting carried away could be dangerous up on the lift, he refrained from doing all the other things he wanted to do, like suck her lips and taste her neck, but just kissing her was already working him into a frenzy. Her hand was on his thigh, and she kept sliding it up and down, squeezing at times. That alone was driving him insane, making him kiss her even deeper. They kissed the entire way up. The only times he'd pulled away at all were to look deep in her eyes. He wanted to make absolutely sure she wasn't regretting this. Gio had no idea how this was going to work or how far this would go. Was this the only time she'd allow this? He didn't even want to consider that. There'd be no way he'd be able to fight this anymore, not knowing what he knew now—that she was just as hungry for him as he was for her. Not once since he'd started kissing her had she so much as slowed it down. Her tongue kept up with his, matching every swirl, even sucking on his tongue as he did hers.

Falling
BiancaThe angora scarf Bianca wrapped around her neck should have brought on a little guilt. She'd purchased it just a few weeks ago with thoughts of Felix caressing the soft fabric. Now all she could think of was that she'd soon be snuggling up next to Gio in it.She'd been tempted to call Toni while she was in the bedroom changing. A very small voice in her head wanted Toni to talk her out of this: tell her she was making a huge mistake. But the much louder, more compelling voice all but snuffed out the little one. It screamed what she really wanted to do and that was to be with Gio all day. Have him hold her and kiss her like he had on the lift when she'd nearly melted into one huge puddle. As dangerous as she knew this could be, Bianca could hardly wait for it to happen again. On the ride to the movies, Bianca struggled to concentrate on what she was saying as she looked into Gio's eyes. "There's this really nice hiking trail we can check out after the movies. It's well kept fo

What Do You Want?
Bianca would never tire of the way he gazed at her. "Then lead the way, beautiful."Such a simple compliment and Bianca felt her face flush. She'd just sucked face with the guy, heard his moans, felt his hunger for her, and this made her blush? It was so silly she had to look away and he laughed. "Wow. Really?"She covered her face with her gloved hands, trying to keep from going into a laughing fit because she felt so stupid and the worst thing that could happen did—the squeak. It was loud, and one look at Gio's laughing face and she was in near tears, laughing. He pulled her to him laughing and moved her hands away from her face. "Don't cover your face. I love seeing you laugh."Bianca buried her face in his warm jacket as he brought his arms around her waist, holding her tighter. The enthralling smell of him, his aftershave, his skin as she lifted her face to his, was enough to calm her laughter, get her heart pounding again for a different reason now.She glanced back at the c

What Have You Been Dreaming?
GioGio waited, but Bianca said nothing more. She just stared at him in that same way she'd been doing since they left the cabin that morning. Those eyes owned him now—completely. It was almost painful to look into them now and know she belonged to someone else. That she was his for just a few stolen moments and tomorrow she'd be back in Felix's arms . . . his bed.He hugged her, squeezing his eyes shut, not wanting to be looking into those eyes when he asked her, "What've you been dreaming, Bianca?"Did he really want to know? He realized only moments ago when he found himself getting carried away that as much as he wanted to take her and do all the things he'd been fantasizing about on a daily basis, now he couldn't—shouldn't. Not just because she was Felix's girl but because what was happening was exactly what he'd been afraid of.Kissing her today had been a leap of faith. One he'd hoped would get her out of his system. Instead, it'd backfired on him. His need for her now had m

Pushing It
BiancaOn the ride home, Bianca's stomach turned when she saw she had several missed calls and texts from Felix. Lying to him was out of the question. All it would take was one call to the driver to get an update on her if he was worried. She felt weird about even reading his texts in front of Gio, so she waited until she got back to the cabin in the bedroom to read them. But she did tell Gio that if he talked to Felix before she did, not to lie. She was telling him almost exactly what they did today leaving out, of course, all the parts about making out with his friend all day. Most of the missed texts were basically the same, asking her how things were except for the last one about a half-hour ago.:TEXT: Babe I'm getting worried. Please call me as soon as you can. :TEXT:She listened to the voicemail that he left just a few minutes after the text."Look, if this is about that story they've been airing, I promise I can explain that too. We talked about this already, remember? I'

Feeling Weak
GioOut of habit, Gio had clicked the TV on in his room as he walked in. Halfway through rushing to change into his swim trunks, the words of the reporter on the television hit him like a bolt, and he grabbed the remote, clicking record like he had back home anytime something about this aired."Felicita Morales, the widow of Trinidad Morales gave birth today to a baby girl, Trini Morales, named after the father she'll never get to meet. Trinidad, who lost his life just over a month ago in the ring after a blow to the head during a fight that burst an aneurism in his brain, was only twenty-two when the tragedy occurred."Gio went numb. He stared at the screen as they went into detail retelling the story of the fight, Trinidad's death, and the ongoing investigation of the physician who released him to fight. He picked up the remote, turning up the volume as the cameras zeroed in on Trinidad's father, who was being interviewed at the hospital. He spoke solemnly about the birth of his g

Are You Kidding Me?
//They lay in a meadow. It looked very different than the one Bianca had taken him to because there was no snow, only grass and flowers in every color. Gio was certain it was still the same one. He lay there next to her, his weight on his elbow while his other hand stroked her hair as he stared into her eyes. "I wanna kiss you," he whispered.Bianca smiled, making the day suddenly brighter, the intoxicating scent of the flowers that much stronger. "I want you to."Gio leaned in with anxious anticipation of tasting her mouth and kissed her—for a very long time. He didn't need to breathe. He didn't need anything anymore. This was all he needed—forever. To be lost in Bianca's world, in her mouth, her kisses. He'd never felt happier in his life. Finally, he pulled his lips away from her, and instantly he was lost in her eyes. She smiled again. A smile so blissful—so content. "I love you, Bianca.""I love you too," she whispered back. The strong smell of coffee suddenly trounced the sme

Hypocrisy
BiancaIt kept happening. As much as Bianca tried to act normally, she couldn't help but tense up every time Felix snuggled up to her. It was just a matter of time before he noticed there was something very wrong. He'd already noticed it earlier when he kissed her neck on their way into the bedroom and she all but moved away. When he asked what was wrong she played it off, but she saw it in his confused expression, though he let it go.After a day away, she'd normally be all for a quickie before she had to leave to go work, but today she'd told him she was in a hurry even though she didn't actually have to be at her grandmother's shop for another hour. What had she been thinking? That it would all go back to normal? That being with him again after yesterday would feel the same? Nothing felt the same now. This was all wrong, but Bianca didn't know how to fix it without calling the whole thing off and walking out of not only Felix's life but Gio's as well. That was a sacrifice she jus

Harsh Reality
GioGio's magic pill had come through again. Just reading those three little words had been enough to calm him from the torment he'd been feeling ever since he'd seen Bianca with Felix earlier. Then reading her follow up text confirming that she was feeling just as anxious as he was about being forced to be apart was enough to convince him that staying here was the right thing to do. Even a moment alone with her would make it all worthwhile. Though he still worried about how he would handle seeing them have their moments together. He didn't even want to think about that right now. For now, he'd concentrate on the positive news that she was feeling just as tortured by all of this as he was. That had to be good thing somehow.Since Gio started training with Felix, between the other trainers and Bianca always being around, he hadn't had a moment alone with him. Because Felix showed up unexpectedly early, Gio finally had time alone with him. The other trainers wouldn't be back until late
