"We can't leave, Selene." Lucy said and she glanced around nervously."We have to. Or else, we would die here. I have to warn Damon that my father's coming, he can kill him." "But would he believe you? I heard he sent you away from his pack." Lucy asked, rubbing her arms, as a cold breeze swept through."I have to try, or else, I'll never forgive myself. I'll regret it and it's betrayal once more." I said as I looked at the men outside, my father barked an order to rasca as I saw him nod before leaving."Selene, your father isn't who you think he is anymore. He plans to destroy the green moss Pack, he's cruel now, he killed a wolf who mistakenly stepped on him. He's not who he was before you left, and if you leave now, I'm sure he'll kill you." Lucy said worriedly, and I smiled sadly."I'd rather die than sit here and do nothing. I have to try. Damon is in danger and his pack too. For the first time Lucy, I felt accepted and loved. Guess what, I've shifted too. I've met my wolf." I

Thank you.Selene's PovWhen the border guards of the green moss pack grabbed me and Lucy the moment we stepped in, I thought they would take us to the pack house. At first, I had expected Damon to be the one who would come to the border after inhaling my scent, but instead, it had been the guards I wasn't familiar with. I had thought perhaps, he just didn't want to see me or deal with me directly. But nothing prepared me to see that Damon was in a court and from the setting, he was being rebuked by the councils.Meeting him had awakened some memories that I had tried to bury inside of me, it stirred up emotions and those oceanic blue eyes I had daydreamed of were right in front of me. I could feel a string between us as soon as our eyes made contact.I wanted to run and grab onto him, hug him and apologize for everything I had

In less than twenty minutes, everyone was gathered at the clearing. And all the teenagers were in their training outfits. The warriors also were in their fighting gears and there was an aura of dominance that filled the air.Despite the fierce looks on everyone's faces, I could still see the fear that brewed inside of them. My father's pack was known for their brutality and it was scary that they would have to face them."Ok listen everyone. In less than an hour, the west crescent pack would try to break into our pack, this is a war that we've tried to avoid because of the few warriors we have."Damon started to say as his voice echoed through the atmosphere and everyone turned to him in anticipation and respect. From the corner of my eyes, I saw his parents standing at the left with Jane and Jeremy who I had waved at earlier. Christian nodded at me and I smiled. I knew it would take a while before his trust for me grew but I was ready to wait for as long as he needed.Noir stood

Damon's POV.I heard Selene yelling my name behind me as I continued running to the borders. I didn't have the time to look back at her, nor did I have the time or hard heart to let her come with me.It was going to be a bloody yet dangerous war and I didn't want her to watch me kill her father. Because no matter how much she hated him for all the abuse he had inflicted on her, she was still his daughter and it would hurt to see him die by my hands.I was grateful Noir had been there to take her away and as she yelled my name, I only felt more determination to end this war quickly and have her back in my arms.I was happy that I had told her how much I loved her and gave her the necklace I got her.Just in case I didn't make it back alive she was going to know I had forgiven her and I've always loved her.I sighed, as I looked up at the moon shining so bright above us in it's half form. I made a silent prayer to the moon goddess to protect the pack and give us victory. If there was

The loud bang burst my eardrums and the force flew me backwards that I landed on my butt on the hard ground. There was so much pain around my back and shoulders and for seconds, I couldn't move nor hear a thing. My body felt like it had been taken through a shredder and cut into various pieces as I finally opened my eyes.Above me was smoke, the air was filled with dust and smoke from the bomb blasts. The wagon was burning from beside me, caught in roaring flames as it consumed every part of the vehicle.Bodies of my father's men littered around the floor, dead with their eyes wide opened that stared into nothing.I blinked rapidly, the only part of my body that I could move right now was
