EliseThe sound of spoons fisting against each other was the only thing echoing in the large living room. "Are you listening to what I'm saying?" My Mom's words brought me back from the short reverie I ventured into.I omit out a short breath. "Yes Mom, I'm listening. You were saying..." I suddenly forgot what she was telling me. Her face squeezed into a frown.A chuckle escaped me at the expression on her face. "What's funny?" Her voice almost scared the shit out of me. "How many times would you keep behaving ignorant? I've been giving Vanessa excuses every time and you're making it hard for me"Okay, I know it has to be about the topic. I don't know why she's hell bent on me taking dance classes. On what reason exactly. This is known only to her. Even though she knew I was busy with my work at hand.I gently settled the spoon by the side focusing my attention on her. "Mom, you know I don't really have time for any dance classes or whatnot. Aria can go. Why me?" My eyes shifted towa

EliseI thought It'll be a one hour thingy but I ended up spending a good two and half hours. All for dance. The rest seems to be professionals in it. While I was literally missing steps. Getting stared at by the guy in front of me. I almost lost the shit in me to lash out on him. But then I remembered Mrs Vanessa's words Don't cause any trouble. Like she knew how I can be . I grabbed my jacket from the clothing hanger together with my phone and was about to make my my way out when Mrs Vanessa stopped me . "Miss Parker, I can see you enjoyed today's lesson" She uttered. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at her remark . Is she trying to mock me or other way round. I forced out a smile. "Oh yes Mrs. Vanessa, I enjoyed every bit of if" I said sarcastically. Her face lightened up into a smile "That's really good. Your Mother will be happy" "Yes she will. Excuse me" I was halfway out of the door when her words revamped to my eardrums."See you next week Miss Jordan" only if she kn

EliseWith the help of my phone navigator, I was able to get to the address without much hassle. However, the area was secluded to my liking. It was dark and quite. If someone murdered a person, no one will be able to tell. I tried not let the quiteness and darkness get to me as I furthered my way towards the shop with the 'Devine Automibe' written at the top. The transparent door was conciously locked that I almost thought the place is vacant until it was abruptly opened. An elderly man's face surfaces. "Um ... Hello" I commenced not sure of how to start the conversation. "Hello. How may I help you ?" the man asked. Looking at the clothes he was wearing, you'd know he's just managing his life. "Actually my car got hit by someone earlier and he gave me a card to bring my car for fixing" I explained handing him the card . He accessed the card and a smile follows which I found kinda weird . "Come in" was what he said before turning around inside . My brows furrowed in confusion Ne

EliseJust like every other day I busied myself in the office working on a new project I was discussing with the my client Nora. Nora is a beautiful woman and we clicked in almost immediately in our first meeting. I thought she would be like my previous client Skylar but then she's far more better than her. She's okay with me choosing the designs for her and everything. She's getting married in two months but then she wants everything to be moving in place. Everything to be moving slowly one at a time. That's why she decided to start working on her wedding dress and I'm so happy for her. "What do you think if we leave the back open. Like it will be a V-shaped from the down waistline. But then it would be covered with a transparent lace what do you think" I suggested. "It actually make sense. Though I don't really want my body to be revealing but then having that kind of transparent lace will work out. I think I'll go with that" "All right then that has been taken care of. Wh

Elise"You can't possibly take me for a joke" I said the moment I banged open the door in my angry state. I was met with Elijah sitting on one of the couch. Like he was waiting for me already "What pleasure do I owe you this night Miss Darnell " he said. For a moment an annoyed chuckle made it's way out of my mouth. He must be joking and must be out of his mind. He knew what he did, yet he's asking me what pleasure do I owe him. "You owe me no pleasure Mr. Elijah but I need you to highlight me on what you sent over to my house""Oh you mean your car? How do you like it" "You did it on purpose right?" I asked "Because that is not what we agreed on. That crap is not mine and I need my car right this instant!" I said through gritted teeth. The expression on his face made my eyebrows rising with question. What exactly is this man trying to do. He rose up to a standing position making his way towards me. "Have a seat and I will get you cold water to calm down" I didn't have the str

EliseI woke up feeling much excited I don't know why maybe it was because of my brand new car but then I'm just feeling free spirited. Even when I came down for breakfast Mom didn't let me be she brought up the topic of the dancing classes and I know I have no excuse to dodge her question not when Dad and Aria are literally staring me down."You didn't tell me anything about dancing classes. Though I spoke to Vanessa and she told me everything went well but then I want to hear it from you but you're literally dodging the topic" I let out an exasperated breath. I have no escape. I omit out a sigh together with a small smile "Yes mom it actually went well and I enjoyed the dance. So far it's good" I said forming my lips into a thin line."That's good. Next t-" I didn't allow her to complete her statement when I cut her off. "I'm busy Mom. My schedule is occupied the whole of this week and next week" pretty much to say, there won't be next time. I only said what I need to say. Only

Elise Elena's call came through as I drove my way to the office "Elena" I commenced as I slid the green button. "Good morning Miss Elise. I'm calling to remind you about the meeting you have with Mrs Melissa" My eyebrows furrowed in question. Who is Melissa again? "Who is Melissa?" I asked as I rounded the next street "Skylar's Mother. The meeting is by 10:30am at LèChattè restaurant". As the name Skylar slipped out of her mouth, a his left my lips. First, the daughter and now the mother. What could she possibly wants from me? Skylar has been on earful already. I've already made myself clear to her that if she's not going for last piece of design , then she'd have to look for another designer. Since then she has been quite and now the mother is up on the plate. I glanced at my wrist watch. It's already past 10. I have less than fifteen minutes to get to the restaurant. Its not that far from where I was currently. "Alright after the meeting what do I have again?" I asked. "In

Elise."Elise" The familiar voice called. As I turned around, I came face to face with Tristan in all his form smiling at me. "Fancy seeing you here" he said. No matter what Tristan smile will always do something to my heart. I can't forget how his smile sent butterflies down to my stomach back then. Also now.I composed myself before giving him an answer. "Fancy seeing you here. Mr. Tristan" The smile that was once on his face vanished at my answer. Maybe he was expecting me to be all clingy. But then, he has forgotten what we had before is already in the past. Now, everyone is on with his lives. "You must be here for work" I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. What did he take me for? "No. I'm here to dine. I've had an exhausted week, so the best thing is to take care of myself. Treating myself to a good meal is part of it" I ushered forming my lips into a thin line. I shouldn't waste any more time talking to him. I have other things to do. And he might be here with his new girlfri

EliseToday has been a busy day for me. As it is the fitting day for Skylar's dress. The expression on her face when everything fits to perfection. It gave me a sense of joy to know that, this is what I achieved so far. This is my passion. My profession. "Oh my God Miss Elise. I'm speechless. Like, is this me? What..." She trailed off turning her body around to check herself more in the mirror. A smirk of satisfaction appear at the corner of my lips. "You should know I don't disappoint my clients. When I say I can do it, then trust me I can""I can see that. The dress is so beautiful and fits perfectly" I could see the happiness on her face. That's what I want to be seeing on my clients face. Everytime. The satisfaction. She keeps twirling around which almost made me laugh. "You should change out of it before it get any stain. You can't afford to allow this beautiful piece to get ruined on the big day" Her eye widened at my statement. "You're right"The session ended with Skylar o

Elise Two days laterI took a sip of my coffee as I focus my attention on my laptop screen. I was supposed to send the design over to Rylee yesterday as per agreed. But then, things came up. Mom is preparing to travel to San Francisco for her best friend's daughter's wedding. And she has been going shopping up and down. If as she is the mother of the bride. She was literally buying everything. With all the dresses she have not worn before in her wardrobe. Her replies were "I need to look my best" "This wedding is going to be a spotlight wedding. I need to look premium" That was the reason why I couldn't settle down to sketch up the dress. Mother will not allow me to rest. I was about to take another sip when my door was banged open and Aria's face surfaces."Don't you know how to knock" I exclaimed passing her a deathly glare. She made herself comfortable on my bed before I could offer her. "And who gave you permission to sit on my bed"She gave me a puppy face in return. "Please h
