Jordy's disappearance

Third personSomething had to be wrong. Yes, something had to be terribly wrong. And the luna could feel it in the pit of her stomach. It had been barely twenty-four hours since her daughter returned. Yet, Jordy had resigned to locking herself in the room again, not eager to come out of the room, or even open the door to take the meals that were served to her. On several occassions, the maids had returned to her, telling her that Jordy had refused to open the door to them. "We tried to get the young alpha to open the door, but he would not listen to us. We do not know what the issue might be, Luna, but we have done all that we possibly know how to do." The maids would say, and the Luna would assure them that all was well, and she would speak to her son. But it had been two days now and she was still getting the same complaints. It was on the night of the second day that the Luna decided enough was enough. If Jordy did not open the door to her, she would break it down without hesit

Searching and findings

Third personThe news of Messiah Jordy's disappearance spread across the pack like wild fire. The guards set into the night to search for him. They raided the thickness of the surrounding bushes, the nooks, crannies and crevices of the market places. They walked and ran far into the night to search for him, but they returned at dawn with nothing. And the Luna's heart was absolutely shattered. "I should have known something was wrong." She continued to wail, while seated on the ground of their bedroom. However, she was not the only one who blamed herself for the unfortunate situation. Jamal Luther, the beta's son and Jordy's best - or ex - best friend could not think straight. When the guards approached the door of his father's mansion, Jamal could only wonder what it was about. He rose from his seat in the library, from where he had peeped on them, and stepped out of the room. He moved with slow and inaudible steps to his father's study and placed his ear on the door, itching to k

A visit to the hospital

Messiah Jordy I pushed open the front door of Slauson's at exactly 7:30am. Once again, Slauson - or should I call him Mr Slauson now that he was my boss? - was still the only man present in the shop. He was cleaning the tables and arranging the chairs and small saucers accordingly. He always worked very hard, at least from the two times I had met him. He owned the place, but he was always the first to come in and the last to leave. It was a very admirable trait, one that was to be copied by his employees. So I decided it would do no one any harm if I took it upon myself to do so. He had his airpods in his ears so he did not hear me walk in, or hear me greet him. It was not until he looked up and found me standing in front of him with an awkward smile that he pulled his air pods out of his ears in shock and looked down at me with a smile. "MJ! You're early." He called out rather enthusiastically. I slid my hands into my pockets and chuckled lightly. "Yeah, I guess I am. I thought

The Beta's suggestion

Third personThe twins, Zoey and Zachary, stepped out of the palace doors with their hands locked in each other's. Zoey had tears in her eyes, while Zachary tried to console his younger sister. Their father, Gamma Micah, walked behind them. He had excused himself from the meeting with the beta, alpha and Luna, after Zoey burst out into tears after another failed report of Jordy's search had been tabled before them. Jamal was not present at the palace, he had stopped coming since three months ago, as though he was no longer interested in the search. But Zoey and Zachary were still bothered about their friend's disappearance, even though things between them had ended off on the wrong foot. Back in the pack's palace, Luna Cora and Alpha Hillary were seated together on a small luxurious sofa. And Alpha Hillary squeezed his mate's right hand with his left, seeing as tears had already gathered in her eyes. He did not want her to shed any more tears. All she had done in the past three mon

Six months gone

**THREE MONTHS LATER** Messiah JordyAccording to the doctor, my pregnancy was now twenty-four weeks old. That means the pup growing in my womb was now six months old. It was starting to show through all my clothes, both the ones Slauson had been more than kind to get for me, the ones I managed to get through my wages in the restaurant. I could no longer wear my apron, so I stuck to the dress that was made solely for my cause. With every week that passed, I grew less and less efficient at work. I began to tire out quickly and take far more urine breaks than every other worker. Somedays, I had to return home at lunch break, which was six hours before every other worker was authorized to close for the day. I had since moved from the hotel, and was now able to secure a small bungalow close to the cafe. It was a walkable distance, but Slauson insisted on driving me to work and back home everyday. I was a pregnant young girl who seldom needed excersise, who was I to say no? Of course

The revelation

Third personJamal Luther quietly sipped the tea from his tea cup. His little finger caressed the bottom of the porcelain cup as he closed his eyes to savour the taste. He had always known his father's cooks to make the best tea and sandwhich. Ever since he was a child, it was the cinnamon tea and just enough cream that was able to calm him down even in his worst moods. It was why he had asked for the tea immediately his other friends, Zoey and Zachary, the children of the Alpha's gamma, and his father's close friend, Gamma Micah, came to see him. He knew for a fact - and their countenance also gave it away - that they were about to annoy him, or something in him. So, he had asked for the tea, he wanted to be ready. He opened his eyes after the long sip and found Zoey's dark eyes on him. She was clad in a red jumpsuit which highlighted the colour of her smooth skin. It was a miracle Jordy had not fallen for her, the girl was a walking epitome of grace and beauty - not to forget sa

Emotional torture

Arlo Caddel Torture. That was one word to describe the past five months of my life. Everyday, I woke up with a consciousness, and a gnawing feeling in my heart that something was missing. My heart felt torn between two worlds. Every time I closed my eyes to sleep, I saw the beautiful doe eyes of my mate. I heard her voice in my head. My mind continued to replay our first night together, the night we had made love - even though drunk out of our minds - in her cute little hideout. I could still smell her shampoo, I could still feel her silky skin underneath my fingertips. My body had always yearned for her, but it was worse now that she was gone. My life seemed to have lost its colour, it's vibrant nature. I was now a walking monochrome of grey and black, no white, because there was no form of brightness in my life. She had been gone for five months, missing. And I had only known after her mate I had found in the woods on the night of the changing ceremony, met me to challenge me a

The baby

**TWO MONTHS LATER** Messiah Jordy"Ouch!" I cried at the top of my voice. I had tried to turn on my stomach, but the kick from the baby in my womb was more than enough to reset my brain. I sometimes forgot that there were certain positions I had been advised not to turn on, or lie on, during my pregnancy. Why was it so difficult being a pregnant woman? My room door flung open and Slauson came running in with a glass of water in his hands. His hair was disheveled and he was clad in nothing but a pair of grey joggers. His bare chest was out on display, allowing my eyes to sweep through his silky dark curls of hair that slept on the smooth skin of his chest. I knew it was smooth because I had swept my hands through it before. It was safe to say he had the most beautiful skin I had ever touched. Everything about him was so beautiful, even down to his heart. After I had thought through and through about his proposal, I gently laid him off. Yes. I know that you might think I am crazy

Spilling secrets

Messiah JordyHaving kept my life a secret these past months made it harder to come clean right now. A lot of thoughts ran through my mind. A lot of 'what ifs' and doubts and fears. The greatest was what his reaction would be when I told him everything. It was funny how scared I was about his feelings for me being altered. Slauson had been amazing, and I cared about him, but I thought my feelings were just ordinary. I thought it was all because of how kind he treated me. Right now, at the verge of making one of the biggest decisions of my life, I figured I might have been fooling myself all this while.Being scared of losing him spoke volumes about what my true feelings for him were, and how fucked up this whole thing just got. My poor heart ached as I imagined him loathing me when he found out that I was not human. How terrified he would get when I told him I belonged to those creatures he probably thought of as myth. It was just my imagination, but it hitched my breath and made m

Bleeding heart

King Arlo's POVI opened my eyes to the sun's rays and shut them back with a groan. Another day of feeling empty and scarred. I didn't want to get up. Lying here all day seemed like a better option. Sleeping came easier to me now, as it was the only way I could escape my miserable reality.A muffled groan escaped my lips as my mind wandered to the thoughts that forced me to sleep and kept me sullen when I was awake. The thoughts of Jordy, painful thoughts of my disappeared mate.Days turned into weeks and weeks had become months since Jordy’s disappearance and she was nowhere to be found. No news on her whereabouts. She just vanished, like she never happened. Right now, I would be lying if I said I was alright because I was certainly not. I was growing weaker with every second that passed and the fact that I was the king made it a lot harder. I couldn't mope around as much as I wanted to. I had my people to lead, and I couldn't excuse myself from my duties, even though my heart was a
