Lachlan “Fox said I was going to be furious with him when I came over. Now I know why,” I snort from behind the computer setting the security system, firewalls, and anti-hacking software that Bear and I developed together when I was barely sixteen. That was over two years after first meeting the Death Kings with Ransom. When went over to their ranch one night after Ransom met with Dominic Zanetti aka Demon in a meeting with his sperm donor, who was grooming him at the time to be his puppet on a string. We will never be able to repay them for getting Ransom out from underneath that man. At the time, I despised who my friend was becoming and what was being done to him. Most of all, I loathed the fact there was nothing we could to do help him at the time other than just being there for him. “I’m sorry, Lock. I needed to stay dead so that the people targeting my family would leave mom, Carley, and you guys alone. The Death Kings helped me do that. Even gave me a new identity as Carter R

Chapter 33: You Are Not To Tell Them Jase “So not only is Lachlan having to train Tempest’s tech guy, but you want them working jobs with us for their training? Why?” Ransom asks Ryder Fuchs Jamison aka Fox as he sits at our dinner table. “Because we took you on jobs for your training, so you guys should do the same. You’ve run your own jobs for years, you have the experience to train others,” Ryder says. “Just because we have the experience doesn’t mean we want to, Ryder,” Ransom says with a scowl on his face, crossing his arms across his broad chest. “I understand that which is why this is an order,” Ryder deadpans. “It’s an order, Ran, we have no choice,” I say, knowing we owe this man and his whole family far more than we can ever repay in our lifetime. Plus, they pay us far too much for us to want to quit our job. Most of us grew up with nothing, so of course, we want to make sure that doesn’t happen in the future. This job alone is worth a million dollars, so that’s half a

Carley I woke up this morning the happiest girl in the world. Jase and Ransom surprised me last night by coming over. We ended up in the loft with just blankets and naked bodies. I didn't sleep but a few hours because of them and we continued on sexcapaid this morning as well. I might have developed a bit of foyer kink last night watching them together when I felt too tired to continue. The stamina those two possess is on a much higher level than mine. I need to work on that, because how am I supposed to keep up with five virial men otherwise? “We have to work on our next job tonight so we won’t be able to hang out, but one of us could need medical aid. Do you want to hang out at home, our place, or Tempest’s?” Ransom asks from the shower washing his hair as I do my makeup. “Preston and Stetson won’t be home. They will be staying the night with friends. Weston already arranged all that two weeks ago,” Jase says trading places under the spray with Ransom to rinse off his soapy body.

Carley“Who are you?” Jase’s deep voice cracks like lightning."You know who I am, Earth Bear. You all do. Don't they, Lock Bear?" My undead twin brother taunts his former friend. This cannot be real. He has to be zombie or a doppelganger. There is no way that the voice of Carter Moreau is the adult version of my dead brother. He just can't be!“Carley look at me,” Ransom demands his thumbs pressing in an alternating rhythm against the tops of my hands. Tears are flowi

JaseMy team is assigned to intercept a drug shipment so that it lands in the Ravager’s lap instead of going to their rival the Damned Forsaken, a crew we have already infiltrated. At least the job to get in the crew will be easy enough and we may not have to spill blood either. We have infiltrated the Damned Forsaken once before. That job almost cost us Lachlan at the end of it. The difference between these jobs the family member wants the leader dead this time. “So you’re Alpha? Gator said you’re the one I need to talk to,” I lift my eyes from my food to find Slater Zen and Camden McCoy looking down at me.“Yeah, I’m him. So Gator is your original contact? I hold a great deal of respect for the man,” I say with a shark’s grin. They both pull up chairs, sitting in them so that their arms rest against the backs of the chairs.“I met him in the ring. It’s the fi
