CHLOE"How do you know this?" That might be a dumb question. If werewolves can sense that other werewolves are around why not vampires? But do they identify each other the same way werewolves do? These past few weeks I've learned not to base my views on the supernatural because of the movies I've watched and the books I've read. "Their eyes." She whispers. "Blood red." She looks frightened and I believe her. That explains a lot, cause no way humans are beating a werewolf's ass no matter the training. Werewolves are stronger, and faster. I guess vampires are too. Oh my God, I have to tell Tyrone. But then I have to tell him about Rene and he might see her as a threat. Oh gosh, what do I do? I have to do something cause there's no way I'm letting vampires go free after what they did to Nathan. Now we know the relationship status between werewolves and vampires. They do not like each other at all, but do these werewolves know that vampires are the ones unaliving them? I don't think the

TYRONE"Tye, wake up!" I receive a tap on my shoulder then I open my eyes. It's my mom and she looks worried. Don't tell me the hunters stroke again, I hope my dad's okay. "Mom?" I look at the digital alarm clock. "It's two am." "I know honey, I'm sorry to wake you but this is important." I groan and I sit up straight. "Come meet us in the living room, your father's there with Mrs. Lorenzo, her husband's here too. Now I'm awake. Mrs. Lorenzo? What is she doing here? And what could she possibly want? I did see her at the funeral. I saw her weirdly looking at Rene, maybe she wasn't looking at Rene, maybe she was looking at Chloe. That's why she's here, she knows Chloe wasn't born a wolf. The nerve of this woman, it's not been days since they buried my brother and she wants to add more problems. I jump out of bed and I head toward the living room. There they are, and from the looks on their faces, she has already told them, I'm in big trouble. I was Nathan's accomplice, and I didn't

CHLOE"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Chloe, happy birthday to you." I should be confused as to why I'm hearing two voices but I'm not. My mom loves making surprise appearances and here she is looking beautiful and annoying as always, with her short blonde hair and big blue eyes, just like me. I remember times when people would ask if we were sisters, and by people I mean men and they'd make her blush but they'd make me mad. I love my mom but she can be embarrassing at times. There was a time I played a tree in our school play Wicked. And of course Rene was Dorothy. My mom was letting everyone in the audience know that her girls were on stage. "My daughter's the tree!" She yelled and the parents only smiled. I was so embarrassed cause it gave Santana Ruiz an opportunity to make fun of me, Rene defended me of course. She always has my back. Despite my mom's craziness my mom has my back too. I'm sure she misses my dad, I do. "Hello mom." I get up

CHLOEMy mom loves spending money on me. Back then I was used to it, but t I decided to be independent by finding a job, and that's how I ended up at Monet's. Before, I would normally not allow my mom to spend any money, but since it's my birthday and she insisted, who am I to complain? I bought a lot of outfits with my mom's credit card. The clothes aren't what I usually buy, even my mom was confused as to why I decided to start buying dark edgier clothes all of a sudden. I didn't even notice what I was buying until my mom pointed it out. I was confused at first but when I looked at all the things I bought, they weren't like the clothes I usually used to buy. My type of clothes was light and all sunshine. That's why Rene teases me about looking like a Disney princess. I never liked the idea of a leather jacket but I suddenly felt the urge to buy one. When my mom asked me why I love edgy outfits all of a sudden I told her that I wanted a new look, and she didn't question it Rene wa

TYRONE"Chloe is beautiful, no doubt about that," Chris says as he takes a sip from his glass. I've seemed to have forgotten what I really came here for. All I'm doing right now is having a beer with this man and staring at Chloe as she has fun. Chris is right though, Chloe is beautiful. I know I'm a cunt for saying this, but I wish I met her first. Why does my brother always have to be the first to meet all these beautiful women? Right now people are going on stage and talking about how lovely, and beautiful Chloe is. So far this party has been entertaining. But it's either I'm here or I'm at home where it's quiet and empty even if there are three people in the home, that's if I don't count Roberta the maid. My brother's death has changed us. I'd like to think my parents are still grieving and they'll be back to their normal selves in no time. The one I'm worried about the most is my dad. He's so angry, and he looks vengeful. I've never seen him like that before. The angry I've see

ChloeRene and I struggle to put my mom down on my bed, she's so drunk right now. You know she's really drunk once she starts talking about how she always wanted to see Michael Jackson naked. Which is a disgusting thing to hear your mother say. I feel relieved when I notice that she's out like a light. She's already snoring. Great, now I have to share a bed with her. But will I be able to sleep? After what that creeper told me?The grey wolf. Now, what did he mean by that? I'm going to be meeting him tomorrow and he better not waste my time if he does I'll rip his head off of his body. Rene and I tiptoe out of the room and we quietly shut the door. We then sit on the couch laying our backs on it. Trying to get my mother out of the club was hard but getting her up the stairs was harder. I can't believe we're not mad drunk like mom is right now. And wow, this couch is more comfortable than the old one. Maybe Rene should sleep in my room with my mom while I sleep here. "How did we g

CHLOEI can't believe what I'm hearing, this can't be happening, this man can't be serious. What does he mean by what he just said? He looks dead ass serious though. How could I have been a werewolf this whole time? That's just absurd. This man is wrong, he might look serious but he's wrong. "How can I be a werewolf when I've never experienced any werewolf-like abilities before now?""Yeah! You're wrong sir!" Rene backs me up. The man sighs he's acting like we're the ones that are crazy. We're not crazy, he is. "Didn't you hear that I said? grey Werewolves are different than ordinary werewolves" we're quiet. "let me tell you the story of what really happened. Minerva Reeves was the most powerful witch that ever lived, the supernatural world knew that but humans didn't. And we all know what humans thought about witches back in the day, if you were known to be a witch you'd be killed. But in Minerva's case, everyone knew she couldn't be killed because of how powerful she was. She was

CHLOETy couldn't stop speeding and we almost hit two cars because of it. They lay insults on us but we don't care, all we want to do is get to Rene. We're finally at Monet's and as soon as Ty stops the car I run out and I head toward Monet's, hoping and praying Rene might still be here. I get inside and I look around for her but I don't see her. Mr. Creep is still here though so I make my way toward him. I slam the table with my hand which makes him and everyone close to us flinch. He was startled indeed. I didn't mean to do that I'm just not in the right headspace at the moment. My cousin is missing and she might be in grave danger. "Where is she?" I ask him and he looks at me, confusion fills his face. "Where's who?""Rene, where's Rene?" "I. . . I don't know she left right after you left." "Did she say where she was going?" He does this questioning look like he's thinking about it. Why is he thinking about it? It's either he knows where she went or not. "She was on the phone

CHLOEThe room is quiet, and my mom and I are looking at Ms. Minnie frighteningly. She doesn't care, she still holds that creepy grin on her face like she didn't just tell us that she was the one behind everything. Like she didn't just confess to controlling me. No, she didn't confess she just came here and said it like it's something she does to me during my free time like it didn't matter to her. I knew there was something strange about this woman but I didn't know she was a witch, a deranged one. Who would have guessed that a nice woman would be a witch? And her cat is creepier than she is. I don't even want to look at it. She uses the cat to spy on people? She was spying on me and Tyrone? This woman's crazy. "If you have any questions feel free to ask me." She says with that smile still on her face. "How can you be happy after what you did?" My mom picks up the courage to ask, she's still scared but she gets an A for effort for having a little bit of courage in her. "I'm not ha

TyroneThis ends tonight. These creatures thought they'd kill my brother and get away with it, now they think they can kidnap Rene and get away with it. I'm so ready to destroy some fangs tonight. The moment I heard my dad say Rene was a vampire my heart skipped a beat. I legit thought he was going to disown me but then when I saw his smile I remembered that that's not my dad, disowning his kids for making mistakes or protecting their friends even though their friends are vampires isn't what my father stands for. Tonight I saw my old dad, the dad who didn't force us into anything. When he asked Nathan if we wanted to be the alpha and we said no he left it at that. He said if we changed our minds we should tell him. I'm lucky to have a father that's supportive, loving, and protective of his family. Chloe's dad and my dad sound similar. Chloe's dad wanted her to live a normal teenage life. My dad wanted us to live our best lives. Nathan was getting there, he was about to thrive, a cel
