Lahat ng Kabanata ng My Contracted Wife Don't Run Away: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

Laura's POV:I held the pregnancy test strip close to my nose and stared at it in disbelief. Positive. There it was. Just like I suspected. I was pregnant. Pregnant for Reiner. There was no mistaking it. Reiner finally got me pregnant. All those nights of love making were finally paying off. But somehow, I thought how best to relay this news to him. I'm sure he'll be happy about it And so would Wendy. First things, first, I must tell Wendy. Best way to break the news is over breakfast she requested I prepare for her. Feeling elated, I hurried to the kitchen and made something she would love. After Mariah's failure to outshine me in the kitchen, I thought this was the right time to crush her totally. Her footing as Wendy's favorite was weaker than ever. I'm sure Wendy was getting used to liking me. Reiner wasn't here so it's my responsibility to keep to my part of our contract agreement to win Wendy over Wendy had retreated back to her studies, leaving Sylvester and Mariah be

Reiner's POV:She told me she was pregnant with our child. I don't know what ran in that little mind of hers but I do know one thing—she was excited by it. She spoke so happily about her pregnancy it made me wonder if she's actually enjoying our marriage. She seems so relaxed about it. Then she went on to tell me how she broke the news to grandmother and grandmother's reaction to her pregnancy. Hearing about grandmother's reaction warmed my heart. I never thought things would turn out this way for the better. It was an idea to marry a wife, get her pregnant and win grandmother over to my side. I've had my doubts such a plan might work but it did. Laura made it possible. I should thank her. Show her my appreciate, maybe praise her. But nah, I'm not doing any of that. I've made it a habit of mine never to reveal my emotions to any woman. I've been with many women so I know what risks comes with showing my emotions. Women are emotional beings. Men are not. We are rational thinke

The week ran smoothly. I returned back to New York, Buffalo to supervise Griffin Groups while Reiner remained on the island. As the new director of Griffin Groups, I proved to everyone to be a skilled and competent leader.Despite the added challenge of being pregnant, I continued to excel in my role and effectively manage the company while Reiner was away at the hospital. I demonstrated my ability to multitask and prioritize effectively, ensuring that the needs of the company were met while also taking care of my own health and the needs of my unborn child. I had gone through the trouble of making preparations for my baby's nursing and lots of the necessary stuffs. This whole pregnancy stuff was new to me but I wasn't going to leave everything to chance.I got a great team and I ensured I communicated openly with my team. However, I didn't inform them of my pregnancy yet. I feel like it was way too early to break the news of my pregnancy to the staffs. I'll just have to let

Laura's POV:It was a sunny Saturday morning, a week later when mom and dad arrived at the island. The Caesar's million dollar mansion. I had accompanied them all the way to the mansion. Wendy had sent her very own Rolls-Royce to pick them up along with a convoy of Prado Jeeps. As we pulled up to the gate, we were greeted by a team of security guards who saluted and directed us to the driveway.Mom and dad were in awe as we drove up the long, winding driveway and saw the grandeur of the mansion. The massive building with beautifully manicured gardens and the huge fountain in the front held their breath. As we approached the front doors, we were greeted by the maids and finally Wendy and the Caesar's family. My mom and dad were both dressed in formal attire. They were a bit nervous, as they had never met their billionaire in-law before and weren't sure what to expect.Well, can't say I blamed them. We weren't used to being entertained by rich folks. Moreover, the sight of Wendy

Laura's POV: "This is perfect," I said as Cole showed me around the apartment he got for me. It was a private bungalow facing the ocean in New York. It's got it's own privacy which made me love it more. "Are you sure you like it?" The house agent asked as we finally returned back to the living room. "I'll take it," I told him. "Aside the privacy, it's not too far from the hospital. I like it. I'll take it."The agent understood the assignment. She was actually friends Chlole so when Cole broke it to her that I'd be needing a small simple apartment to buy, she took us directly to this place. I didn't want to bear my child in Sun island which was why I wanted a house in New York and I got it. "I'm so glad you like it," she said, looking relieved. "When I took you here, I wasn't quite sure if you'd like it because of the ocean.""I'm an ocean woman," I said happily. "I'd take the apartment."We then agreed to have the final payment made in her office. She left me alone with Cole wh
