Chapter 60
HAVEN POV “Haven! Oh my goodness, you’re all right! I was so worried.” A head of blonde hair raced towards me down the hall as I exited the office with Nolan and Reid right behind me. Imogen’s body slammed into mine and she hugged me tightly. “Imogen? What are you doing here?” I asked, my eyes widening as I returned her hug. Maya came down the hall as well, and I smiled at her over Imogen’s shoulder. “That girl Sarina drove us here the other night after you were attacked and Sebastian brought you here,” she said. “Are you okay?” she asked as she pulled back to look at me. “I’m okay, I guess. Yeah.” I shrugged. “How’d you heal so quickly?” Imogen looked around at Nolan and Reid, and then at Maya. “Are you… are you one of them too?” “She knows?” I asked, glancing at Nolan. “I saw him as a wolf,” she said, pointing at Nolan, “and then Ramon kindly explained everything to me when I panicked, thinking Nolan was the one who bit you.” “She had to sign a contract spelled by a witch to

Chapter 61
WESLEY POV I spent almost a whole day running laps around the training yard, stopping only to get drinks of water or take a piss. My dad finally told me I could stop just before sunset, so I made my way back to our house. Our house. I loved saying that. Thinking that. Knowing that I would make that a home with her. My Lycan agreed with me, his tail wagging and his tongue hanging out at the thought of our mate waiting for us at home. Her scent greeted me as I mounted the steps of the porch, and I paused with my hand on the doorknob. There was so much still going on, so much up in the air in our lives, but I took the time to savor the moment. To absorb the feeling of knowing I was coming home to my mate for the first time. I opened the door, and her scent hit me heavier than before, as sweet as ever. The way it mixed with mine and swirled into every nook and cranny of the house filled me with pride, but also gave me a sense of comfort. Especially knowing it would only grow stronger

WARNING: GRAPHIC DESCRIPTION OF TORTURE IN THIS CHAPTER WESLEY POV I burst into the cells only minutes after I got Seb’s mindlink. As soon as he ended it, I threw on a shirt and then took Haven to the packhouse. I didn’t bother showering or washing her scent off me. Even though Lennox would be dosed with wolfsbane and cuffed in silver, my Lycan wanted Haven’s scent on us so everyone would know she was ours. “Where did you find him?” I asked Sebastian as I walked into our side of the interrogation room. “The dumbass went to Haven and Maya’s apartment. I’m not sure what made him think that was a wise decision, but it made it easy for us to find him, so I’m not going to complain,” Sebastian told me. Levi stood beside him, and he cracked his neck. “He gave us a good chase for a bit there, but he doesn’t know this terrain and territory like we do.” “Right,” I said, glancing at him through the one-way window. “What happened to his face?” I asked. Black and blue bruising covered his pa

HAVEN POV “So… all of you are werewolves?” my dad asked. He looked around at Wesley’s parents and Maya, Nolan, and Reid as we all sat in various spots around the living room of Harrison and Emily’s apartment. “Or Lycans,” Reid clarified from the arm of the couch with a nod. “It’s sort of the same, but also not.” “Helpful,” Nolan scoffed from his armchair. “So very helpful.” “Thank you, I try.” Nolan just rubbed his temples and caught my eye, and I had to pull my lips into my mouth to stop my laugh from escaping. “Lycans stand on two feet and look more humanoid,” Harrison explained with a look at Reid. He sat on the loveseat with Emily, his arm slung across the back of the cushions behind her. “Only those with alpha blood are Lycans. Werewolves look like gigantic wolves when they shift into their animal form.” Dad nodded and looked at each of them again. My mom sat next to him on the couch with a thoughtful expression on her face. “No wonder you boys always ate so much when you

HAVEN POV As I stared at the symbol on the page, Wesley’s arms wound around my waist, pulling me back against his chest. “Breathe, Sugar Plum,” he whispered in my ear, and I inhaled immediately, as if his voice held some sort of power over my body. “You said you recognized it,” I murmured breathlessly, glancing at him. “That you knew you’d seen it but couldn’t remember exactly where.” “This story was Maddie’s favorite,” he told me, his eyes flicking towards his sister where she still stood in front of our chair. “She couldn’t say Asteria when she was little, so called her ‘Ria’ instead.” “‘Selene’s Gift?’” I asked as I read the title on the page. “What’s Selene’s gift?” “Lycans,” Harrison said. “Fated mates,” Sebastian chimed in. “Second chances,” Nolan added. “And Ria,” Maddie told me. “Just read it!” she said, her excitement and anticipation palpable. “It will make more sense if you read it,” Wesley agreed. “It’s easier than explaining, I promise.” I looked around the room

WESLEY POV “Let me come with you this time,” Haven said, following me as I walked out of my parents’ apartment, Nolan and Sebastian right behind her. I stopped in my tracks at her words. “What? No.” I shook my head and turned to her. “Haven—” “I want to go with you,” she insisted, interrupting me. “No, Haven,” I said, gripping her shoulders. “It — it will be violent and bloody and gruesome. I have to be someone you won’t recognize. All three of us do. I don’t want you to see me — to see us — like that.” Even though I had given my word to Lennox that I wouldn’t touch him, I still had to put on that mask. I had to be the brutal, cruel alpha. The vicious lycan. I didn’t know what Sebastian had up his sleeve for Lennox, but I knew it would be something bloody and bordering on sadistic. I had no idea how Haven would react to gore and violence, and I wasn’t about to find out by having her watch us interrogate that piece of shit. She crossed her arms and frowned at me. “We’re a team. I

WARNING: GRAPHIC DESCRIPTION OF TORTURE IN THIS CHAPTER WESLEY POV “What makes you believe she is Selene’s daughter?” Sebastian asked Lennox. I pulled my face out of my mate’s neck to watch, tucking her so the top of her head was under my chin. Sebastian paced back and forth in front of Lennox, and Lennox moved his eyes away from Haven and me and to Sebastian. But his lips pressed together and his jaw clenched, his eyes flashing with defiance. “Don’t feel like talking yet?” Sebastian asked, kicking the leg of the chair. The movement from his foot meeting the metal rattled the whole chair, making Lennox wince and grunt. His eyes closed, but he still said nothing. “That’s fine,” Sebastian shrugged. “I’ve had plenty of time to think about what I want to do to you. Both while I was hunting you down and while my brother did his version of ‘torture’ on you,” he continued, stalking over to the tray of tools. With practiced precision, he pulled on the gloves we’d wear when using any too

Chapter 67
HAVEN POV I was exhausted. More than exhausted. I was so fatigued, I couldn’t even think of a word to describe how tired I truly was. I wasn’t even sure of the time, although I knew it was still Sunday. Or perhaps the wee hours of Monday. But my mind kept drifting back to the enormous, incredibly comfortable bed in our room at our house. I kept thinking about sinking into its plushness. About wrapping the fluffy duvet around me as I placed my head on the feathery pillows, and about snuggling up close to my Wesley as I drifted off to sleep with his arms around me. My Wesley. My mate. He must have sensed my exhaustion, because he’d seated us on the couch in his dad’s office, instead of in the chairs across from his desk. Even Harrison sat on the arm on the far edge of the couch, a glass bottle of beer in his hand that he sipped at while we talked. Wesley explained everything to his dad, including all that Lennox had told them the first time they’d spoken with him. Tortured him. I

Chapter 68
HAVEN POV It took far less time than I thought it would for Harrison and Emily to organize a visit to the oracles for us. One perk of them owning a private jet. A luxurious private jet that I now sat in as we flew over the continental US towards the Atlantic Ocean and Greece. We would first land in Athens, then get on a smaller plane to hop over to Santorini. And then from there, we would take a ferry to the magically concealed island that held the temple of Selene, the temple the oracles lived and worked in. I stared blankly out the window. My chin rested on my arms, and my arms rested on the back of the plush, cream-colored couch in the secluded room Wesley had claimed as “ours” for the flight. He was out in the main cabin, speaking with Nolan about details of our trip. Even with how tired I was, my brain would not stop working overtime. There were still so many questions, so many unknowns. So many things I needed more information about. The pocket door slid open, and Wesley sli

Chapter 69
WESLEY POV Once Haven and I had straightened ourselves out after our quickie, we left the villa with Nolan and Cassandra, following them through the winding stone paths of the island towards the center. The starlight glinted off the white houses, and the scent of the blossoming bougainvillea trees mixed with the salt of the sea water and invaded my senses. It was that exact scent that had awoken that desperate, aching need in me while we were getting ready. That, and the swirling magic of the island, and the way Haven looked in that almost see through dress. I inhaled again, and caught another whiff of our mixed scents underneath the smells of the island, the scent of my cum lingering between her legs. I didn’t let her wash it off. Not with that dress she had to wear. Not with the way it hinted at what lay underneath. That scent would warn off any wandering eyes. Luckily, the dim light from the darkened sky prevented her dress from being too sheer. Had we been in the sun, I’m sure
