91: Questioning

★[Freya's POV]★I woke up very early in the morning and started preparing for work, as I was not ready to meet with Nana's nagging that morning. As I rubbed my bleary eyes, I couldn't help but wonder why I had to be the one to put up with Nana's constant criticisms. It seemed like no matter how hard I tried, she always found something to complain about.I sighed and got out of bed, trying to shake off the feeling of dread that had settled in my chest. I knew that if I didn't hurry, I would be late for work, and that would only make things worse. As I brushed my teeth, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I looked tired and disheveled, with dark circles under my eyes and hair that was a mess.I shook my head and tried to focus on getting ready. I put on my work clothes and grabbed my bag, making sure I had everything I needed for the day.As I stepped out of the house, the cool morning air hit me, and I took a deep breath. The sun was just starting to rise, casting a warm glow o

92: Unforeseen scenarios

★[Fergus POV]★As I stood up from my chair, my eyes were fixed on the door, trying to decipher who could be knocking at such an odd hour. Was it a delivery, a friend dropping by, or perhaps even a stranger? I took a deep breath and walked towards the door, my heart beating faster with every step.As I opened the door, my eyes met with Isla, my fiancée, standing there with a look of surprise on her face. I was taken aback, not expecting her to be here so suddenly, and it showed on my face."Hey," she said, looking up at me with those piercing blue eyes of hers. "I'm sorry to drop by unannounced, but I had to see you."I couldn't help but feel relieved that it was her standing in front of me, and not someone I didn't know. I took a step back and let her in, closing the door behind her."What brings you here?" I asked, trying to hide the confusion in my voice."I just needed to see you," she replied, taking off her coat and placing it on the couch. "I've been thinking a lot about us late

93: Route to destiny

★[Freya's POV]★As I stood there, watching the wolf vanish into the trees, I couldn't help but feel a tinge of envy. The wolf was free to roam the woods, to explore and hunt as it pleased. Meanwhile, I was bound by my own limitations and uncertainties. But I knew better than to follow the wolf. The woods were unfamiliar territory, and I didn't know what dangers lurked beyond the trees. As tempting as it was to give in to my curiosity, I knew that caution was the wiser choice. So instead, I turned and made my way back to the safety of where I was coming from. As I walked, I couldn't help but wonder what other wonders and terrors lay hidden in the depths of the forest, waiting to be discovered. Perhaps one day, when I was better equipped to face them, I would venture out and explore this wild and untamed world. But for now, I was content to stay within the safety of my own boundaries, and dream of the adventures that awaited me. As I walked out of the woods and into the clearing,

94: unexpected scene

★[Fergus POV]★It was a new day and I decided to visit the old park house, that we don't use anymore alone, despite knowing that no one was going to be there. As I made my way to the park house, I couldn't help but feel a sense of tranquility wash over me. It was early in the morning and the sun was just beginning to rise, casting a soft orange glow across the sky.I had been looking forward to this moment for weeks. The idea of having the entire park to myself was thrilling. I knew it was unlikely that anyone else would be there at this hour, but the thought of being completely alone in nature was exactly what I needed. As I approached the park house, I noticed how quiet it was. The only sound was the gentle rustling of the leaves in the trees. I opened the door and stepped inside, taking a deep breath of the fresh morning air.The park house was empty, just as I had expected. I walked around, exploring the different rooms and admiring the beautiful architecture. It was a peaceful pl

95: Dark occurrence

★[Freya's POV]★As I stood in the midst of the raucous crowd, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The air was thick with anticipation, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. The people around me were a motley crew of misfits and outcasts, and their grimy appearance was matched only by their foul language. All around me, the chant grew louder and more insistent. "Let the queen of doom ascend," they cried out, their voices rising in a frenzied crescendo.I scanned the faces of those around me, looking for some clue as to what was going on. But all I saw was a sea of angry, twisted expressions, filled with malice and hatred. As the chanting reached a fever pitch, a figure began to emerge from the shadows at the back of the crowd. It was a woman, dressed in black robes, with a hood pulled over her head. Her features were obscured, but I could sense an aura of darkness and malevolence emanating from her.The crowd surged forward as the woman made her way towards the center

96: Marriage suggestion

★[Fergus POV]★As I lay there in bed, staring up at the ceiling, my mind raced with all the possible scenarios of what could happen if the threat was real. Who would want to harm me? Was it someone I knew? A complete stranger? My heart pounded in my chest, and a cold sweat broke out on my forehead.I picked up my phone and scrolled through my contacts, trying to think of someone I could call for help. But as I looked at each name, I couldn't bring myself to dial any of them. What if they were in on it? What if they were the ones behind the threat?I tossed and turned, trying to find a comfortable position, but my mind wouldn't let me rest. I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching me, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. As the hours ticked by, I began to feel more and more exhausted, but still, I couldn't bring myself to close my eyes. I knew I needed to get some sleep if I was going to be able to function the next day, but the fear was too overwhelming. Finally, as

97: Shocking revelation

★[Fergus POV]★As I entered the living room, I pulled out my phone and dialed Morpheus' number. He picked up after a couple of rings."Hey, Morpheus. It's me. I need to talk to you about Bethany," I said, getting straight to the point."Sure thing, boss. What's up?" Morpheus replied."I think we need to step up our efforts to capture her. She's been evading us for too long, and it's time we put an end to this," I said, my voice firm."I agree. What's your plan?" Morpheus asked."I was thinking we could try setting a trap for her. We know she likes to frequent that coffee shop on 5th and Main. Maybe we could stake it out and wait for her to show up," I suggested."That's a good idea. We'll need to make sure we have enough manpower to cover all the exits," Morpheus said, already thinking about the logistics."Agreed. I'll leave that to you. Just let me know what you need from me," I said, feeling relieved that we were finally making progress."Will do, boss. I'll get started on it right

98: New discovery

★[Freya's POV]★As I walked through the door of my apartment, my mind was still buzzing with the memory of Mr. Richards' kiss. It was unexpected, but it felt so right. I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something between us, something that went beyond the professional relationship we had always maintained.I sat down on the couch and replayed the moment in my head. The way his lips had felt against mine, the way his hand had cupped my cheek. It was like nothing I had ever experienced before. But as much as I was enjoying the memory, there was a nagging doubt at the back of my mind. What if I was just reading too much into it? What if Mr. Richards had just been caught up in the moment, with no real interest in me?I shook my head, trying to dispel the doubts. There was no denying the chemistry between us, the way we had always seemed to gravitate toward each other. And now that we had finally crossed that line, there was no going back. But what did that mean for our working re

99: The strange boy

★[Fergus POV]★As soon as we stepped through the door, I headed straight to the kitchen to fix Jayden something to eat. He'd been out all day, and I knew he must be starving. While I rummaged through the fridge for ingredients, he told me about his afternoon at the old park house."I was just sitting there, minding my own business, when I saw this guy walking towards me," Jayden said, his voice low and serious. "He had this look on his face, like he was ready to fight or something. So I got up and started walking away, but he just kept following me."I frowned, putting together a sandwich for Jayden. "Did you try talking to him? Maybe he just wanted to ask you something."Jayden shook his head vehemently. "No way, man. He was looking at me like he wanted to hurt me. I didn't want to take any chances."I finished the sandwich and handed it to him, watching as he took a huge bite. He chewed thoughtfully, then swallowed and continued his story. "So I started running, and he chased me. I

100: Misery Journal

★[Freya's POV]★I was alone in the room, and my mind began to wander, replaying all the recent events that had happened to me. The stress and anxiety that had been building up inside me seemed to intensify with each passing moment. Suddenly, an idea came to mind, and I felt an urge to visit the woods. The image of the werewolf that I had seen a few days ago flashed in my mind. Despite the fear that I felt, there was something inexplicably alluring about the idea of facing my fears and returning to that place. It was as if the woods held some sort of power over me, drawing me in with an almost magnetic force.I hesitated for a moment, wondering if it was a wise decision to go alone. But in the end, my curiosity got the better of me, and I set off towards the woods. As I walked, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension, unsure of what I might find within the dark and mysterious forest. I sneaked out of the house and headed for the woods and it was when I got out
