Naya's POV I sat down and crossed my legs, waiting for my brother. While I was sitting, my mind was racing, so many thoughts running through my mind and head at the same time. For my father to force me to marry Zach, that means that he actually knew what Zach was. Hell, he knew what Zach's family was. I felt betrayed and I started feeling anger brewing in me, increasing without control. I shouldn't have agreed to marrying Zach. How could I have been kept in darkness like that? While thinking about so many things, I felt a fear running down my face and I wiped it off before it had the chance to drop down. With everything that was happening at the same time, I felt like I was going to pass out. So, I rested my hand against my chest, closing my eyes to prevent other tears from dropping. The view of Zach in his wolf form flashed before me, and I opened my eyes immediately, trying to balance my breathing. "I can't, I just can't." I said to myself and switched my phone

Zach's POV I kept on pacing around my room, waiting for a sign at least, from either Naya or her father. I was really resisting the urge to call her or go to her house. I wanted everything to subside a little, before I did anything that I wanted to do. "What should I do?" I asked myself and finally stopped walking around. I rested my back against the wall and closed my eyes, pondering over the things that happened the last four hours. It was really a lot and I didn't wish to even relieve any of it again. I walked over to my bed and rested my back on it, with my eyes fixed on the ceiling. I jolted from my bed when I heard knocks on my door. "Zach? You have to come out. We need to talk. You can't find a solution to the issue on ground, if you're going to lock yourself in. You've been in there for...two hours now." My father called out from the other side of the door. "You should leave." I replied and turned away from the door, shutting my eyes, hoping I would sleep and I for

Zach's POV After Naya cut the call on me, I threw my phone against the wall and watched it break into pieces; the same state of my heart. I breathed out and started hitting my fists against the same wall, not caring about the blood that was slowly dripping down my fingers. "Fuck!" I yelled as I punched the air. I needed something to take my anger out on. So, I dashed out of my room and went outside the house. My pack members weren't around me, so I decided to go out and hunt without them for the first time in a while. "Argh!" I roared and started running towards the woods, as my wolf form took over. The cold leaves brushed against me, with the cold brushing against my skin, but I didn't stop. There was nobody around, but that didn't stop me. I got to a cliff and stopped before howling loudly. I stopped and howled again. A few seconds later, I mind linked my pack members and realised that they were already coming to me. I got off the cliff and continued running

Zach's POV Anna and I continued staring at each other, not saying anything. One minute, she looked as serious as hell and the next, her lips were trembling with laughter. I really didn't understand what she was trying to drive at. "What are you saying? You need help with what?" I asked her and shifted in my seat. She parted her lips to speak, but then, she didn't say anything. I stood up from my seat and walked past her, going to the door. When I got to the door, I unlocked it and opened it wide for her to leave. I had no time to waste someone I already forgot about. She turned around and when she saw what I did, she started laughing. "Are you serious? You're going to send me out? I'm here to talk to you. Let's talk. Please." She gestured towards me to move closer and I opened the door more, waiting for her to leave. "Okay, I'll start speaking now." She waited for me to say something, but when I didn't, she continued. "I live alone and lately, I've been hearing a few

Zach's POV Before Jack and Chris were about to get to Anna, I stopped them. They started staring at her, growling at her like something was wrong. "What's the issue?" I asked them, and they went back to their positions without saying anything to me. I glanced at Anna and I saw that she was still holding on to her chest, fear written all over her face. What was wrong? I didn't even understand what happened. My pack members usually act that way around enemies only. So, what was the issue now? "I asked a question and I need an answer. Why did you both react that way to Anna? You all know her, right?" I glanced at their faces and they looked away from me. I ignored that and continued. "So, what's the issue? She's not an enemy, she is.." I stopped to glance at her, thinking of the right word to use for her. "... she's not against us." I completed, not knowing what to say after that. The throne hall was so quiet, that I could still even hear the heavy pants from Chris.
