CHAPTER 10
Aanya's POV: Some people are excited and giddy to be the centre of attention whereas there are some people who would rather have sharp objects thrown at your heart than be the centre of attention. Yes, I am the latter. It kills me every milli-second knowing someone has got their eyes on me. "Aanya come in," Mason called out from the room. Before I could even sit down he said "Quit your job over here" "What?" "You heard it. You are dismissed from being my P.A. " "You can't do that. I need this job. " "Aanya don't listen to him. Ignore what he said and listen to what I am saying, okay? " I nodded and turned to him "Aanya, the media needs more juice, the board of directors needs an explanation, the stocks have been going down, and many more because of the incident. So, we decided that you are to quit but you are going to get married too... Evan" Mason explained "What!! No, I can't marry him. People will start questioning me and my family will kill me.""Trust me I thought of eve

CHAPTER 11
Aanya's POV: The 2-and-a-half-hour plane was dreadful but peaceful. It was so quiet and I was glad I took a book so that I could read. After that day everything took a turn. When my father and brother knew it they were ecstatic because I found the ideal man to marry. I told Ashley the whole thing, even about the contract and divorce after 1 year. Arya my friend from India heard about it and she called me to ask I told her everything too. They are the only people I trust in this world right now. I slowly started planning the wedding trying to make it not that expensive but it can also show it is a dream wedding. Now, I was torn between the decision of sending my mother and sister an invitation or not to send them. If they come they are going to meet papa and Chester and I haven't talked to them in ages. I still remember Chester asking me if we could ask Maria, our sister, for some money for father. When we landed in Ernia and got out, there was a car outside waiting for us. I didn't

CHAPTER 13
Aanya's POV: We finally reached the hall, the reception hall. It was small with stage in the middle, an arc on top of where the bride and groom are supposed to sit for the pictures that are to be taken and tables around us for the guest to eat and enjoy, hopefully. I changed my dress into a peach strapless dress that reached my ankles it had a same colour cloak short covering my shoulder. The makeup artist re-touched my make lightly. And let my hair fall down free. Business partners, friends and relatives kept coming with gifts and other things congratulating both of us. “Mom!! Maria!!” “Hello darling, congratulations. My baby has grown up.” “Congratulations Sis!!” “Thanks. I am glad both of you could make it.” They moved to talk to Evan. To be honest I was not expecting them to come, although I sent an invitation. I haven’t talked to them in ages, years even. Soon it was time to eat. The bride, groom and their family together is supposed to sit together in one table. ‘Thank go

CHAPTER 14
Aanya's POV: We took the last picture with our family and friends and then we set off to my new home. Home?? Temporary home but still a home. It was a 45 min drive from the hall and now I am standing in front of a gigantic but homy mansion. ‘How can u call it homy when everything is black?’ ‘I don’t know but it has a homy feeling’ It was a nice two-story house but I have a feeling it is much bigger on the inside. Evan went in without waiting for me. Rude!! And true to my feeling it is much bigger than what it shows on the outside. Entering there was a big living room with sofas, cushions, tv all to the left. If we walk in straight it leads to the kitchen and dining room. The dining table has seats for at least 15 people. The kitchen is just huge with a kitchen island in the middle. To the right of the room was a staircase leading upstairs and a door which looks to be closed but I suppose it leads to the swimming pool. “You look lost ma'am!!” I almost felt like I jumped out of

CHAPTER 15
Aanya's POV: When I woke up, I only remember sleeping like the dead, not what happened before that. The memories from yesterday took some time to reappear since the curtains are not wide open blocking the sunlight out. To be honest, I was never a morning person and I don't think I am going to be one in the near future. The number of insults I got from my father because of that was way lot. 'Stupid black-out curtains'. I got up from bed before I went back to sleep. Brushed my teeth and had a quick bath - that consisted of standing underwater for 15 min doing nothing but enjoying the hot water. After that, I slathered myself with the coco butter moisturizer and wore black leggings and a white knot-up shirt. Put my hair down for it to air dry and went downstairs. Before going downstairs, I saw the wedding invitation from Anita. Her wedding is in less than two weeks. I need to tell Evan before booking a ticket. I went downstairs to meet a very quiet and peaceful house unlike what I hav

CHAPTER 16
Aanya’s POV: Today was a hectic day, the café just got busier as the day went on and now I am in Ryan’s car which he insisted I get into so he can drop me off. I did not argue, not one bit. We talked the whole way. My whole life I had difficulties interacting with boys which resulted in me not having boyfriends it was a bit hard for Ryan but eventually, he succeeded and we both became best friends then came Charlotte. Ryan never really liked her – I have no idea why. He just said when he meets someone new can instantly recognise if they are good or not. Might be a sixth sense. Cool!!! To be honest, although Charlotte was there for me in a hard time. I felt like there was something odd about her. Especially in the past months, she has been a bit weird. It’s like she is seeing someone in secret. I want to know if she is okay or not but I will wait till she says it willingly. It was around 6:30 pm when Ryan dropped me off and the house was pitch black except for the driveway and porch

CHAPTER 17
Aanya’s POV: Ibantos is amazing. The culture, the people, the food, the monument, the different places, it’s just too beautiful. Some might say I am a bit too biased in my opinion about Ibantos since I was born there and the first 10 years of my life were spent in that single country except for the first six months after I was born. I lived in Cerria since my father moved there for his job. After some time we went back to India to my mother’s home town and lived there till my brother was born. After he was born we went to my father’s home town. Personally, I preferred my mother’s home town because… just yeah, I just preferred it. The most wonderful thing I love about Ibantos is the food. The spicy food, street food, and evening snacks. Just mouth-watering. And today here I am in Deria, well on my way to at least, a small city to the south of Ibantos.Evan’s card is now short of at least £100000. Sucks for him. Evan Rodriguez should have never belittled me. The day after our little “c

CHAPTER 18
Aanya’s POV: I am wearing a full pink outfit. Pink floral crop shirt with loose-fit pants and an ankle-length cardigan with floral prints. It was beautiful. Anita and I went shopping yesterday to buy some things. Well, she invited me to join her and her family. It feels good to be back with my friend whom I haven’t seen in ages. Anita’s mother and my mother were also close. Our brothers were best friends with each other. Her In-laws are so kind, caring and welcoming. She looks so radiant and there is a new glow to her every time I see her. I saw her husband Ranveer Agarwal when we meet at the station 2 days ago. He is silent and observant from what I can see but also a workaholic but he still cares and finds time for Anita. I haven’t had anyone from England reach out to me except Ryan and Charlotte. Who is going to look out for me anyway? Anyways, now here I am at the bridegroom party enjoying myself. I saw many of my old classmates even the ones I didn’t like. Meet new peopl

CHAPTER 19
Aanya’s POV: I am a mess. My head is pounding, my room is a wreck, and I feel like puking. All in one. It’s the most terrible way to start my morning. To add to that, someone is knocking on my door for the past 5 minutes. ‘Just leave’, I want to shout at the person behind those doors but I can’t, I can’t be rude to them. I got up and went to open the door. A room attendant, a male and the same height as mine, was standing outside with a tray full of food, water and tablets. Huh?? “You morning breakfast, ma’am.” “But I don’t remember ordering anything.” “It’s one of the special services you paid for ma’am” Then he turned around and left. Thank I guess. What a morning! I pulled the tray inside and closed the door. I looked around my room to see the dress I wore yesterday is one the floor, my suitcase is wide open, I am just wearing a big shirt – don’t even know where that came from – and the bathroom and closet room is wide open. Great!! I started cleaning by brushing my teeth and
