XANDER'S POV It was shocking and how it all happened, too sudden. One minute, I had been in my study minding my business after Laurel terrorized my door and the next minute, I was underneath her and receiving kisses right in her room. To think I had actually gone there to see what it was that was causing her to scream so loudly and had discovered how dumb she was to have put off her light and probably bumped her leg somewhere. She was a really good actress because the moment I saw her in so much pain, my heart felt the heart wrenching pain of its entire time and then, I went to help only for her to grab me. I should have resisted her and I know it now, I could have pushed her off but I just could not and laid down there on the floor while she straddled me and kissed me. If I was being sincere, a greater part of me was actually enjoying what she was doing and wished she would continue nonstop but then, Nicolette arrived. She had walked in on us with the question of what was happenin

XANDER'S POV Nicolette had begun shivering and I was growing both worried and impatient. I had to draw her even nearer into my arms as I could not fathom what else to do. Why on earth would she be contemplating suicide as a way out. I had imagined that she was stronger than this and could take the situation head on but apparently, I should have lowered my expectations. I really was confused but in all, I just wanted her to get back to normal. I knew Laurel was still right outside my door because she had angrily banged against my door and all I had heard her recline against the door. I told myself that she would be tired of her games tonight and go to bed. She was just not having the fact that I was with my wife which was actually confusing as I still could not get what her problem was exactly. I had not asked her to leave the time she had. She did that of her own volition and now she was hell bent on making what was left of my peaceful life, a living hell. This was unfair really.

ALLEN'S POV I have not heard from Xander since dinner and right this morning, I had to call the Gamma as it would be much better if there were both of us watching the prisoner. There were no openings for unnecessary risks that would have us losing a valuable prisoner that had taken quite the time to get. Adriana informed me that she was already there as she could not leave the prisoner's side. The girl was excellent and seriously, I was beginning to regret why I had not reached out to her the very first time it happened. I had not forgotten about the previous night occurrence with Laurel and trust me, I cannot say I was surprised. The lady was up to no good but the only surprising thing was why on earth would she actually think that I would ever stoop as low as going against my own friend. Or was I beginning to leave off signs that I was betraying him or something? I needed to fix that if that was the case but then the first things first. I needed to get that confession from the

ETHAN'S POV "Did you get the scapegoat over?" He asked me over the phone."Of course but we have a better insider we would utilize." I responded."Who's that, our spy?" He asked me.Questions.. I loved avoiding them as I was used to dishing out the orders and not being interrogated unnecessarily."Not the spy. His mate." I said."Laurel? Thought she's your girlfriend?" He asked me yet again."Girlfriend, yes. But she seems like she's been trying to pull a fast one on me and went back to win her one true mate." I said."Laurel went back to Xander?" He inquired further and was seriously beginning to grit my nerves."Yes and we would work into her," I said."Cool." He said simply and I was relieved."I'll be sending you the plans for the next line of action tonight. We have to make bigger waves so he does not know what or who hit him while I confer with Laurel." I said."Would she listen?" There he was again with the questions."She has no choice." I said."Okay." He said to me and the

XANDER'S POVI know, I should not let it get to me. She was just toying with my emotions and I most certainly cannot let her get what she wanted. Nicolette was still very ill and now was not the time to play mind games with Laurel over a situation I knew well enough that I could get the better of. I had simply dialed my friend who worked with the towing company and then would let him handle the rest. I had decided that I would meet him up with Laurel but asked him to wait for us to arrive before anything else as I could not have her saying that the entire thing was planned and planted although that would be impossible. The doctor was my major interest now and I needed to go pick him up right now. I made my way to the hospital but not before making certain that Nicolette was safe. I did not trust Laurel not to make a mess and do things whilst I was away, hence, I locked the door and the key, I gave to the one member of the staff that was more trustworthy and neutral in all her dealings
