Chapter Forty-One Alpha Davon's POV It had been over two hours since I asked for Elsa to come find me in my chambers but she was nowhere to be found. I usually wasn't used to being kept waiting by anyone, much less my subjects and I didn't appreciate it from her either. "Raymond!" I screamed, using my mind link as I knew he was nowhere close to my chambers. It was one of those moments when I loved using the mind link even if I wasn't so fond of it. "Go get me Elsa immediately. Make sure she comes with you." I had tried to discard the thought about calling out to Elsa several times but I just couldn't stop myself anymore. Troy, too, wasn't being so helpful. He kept making noise about how I was supposed to give Elsa a chance instead of just discarding her. "I think she's right about being your mate," he even dared to say. "I mean, I can feel her when she's close. I can feel her wd too, trying to reach out to me. Although it's less frequent these days I think it's just because they'

Chapter Forty-Three Alpha Davon's POV I couldn't believe my eyes as I opened the door to Murray's room. I could have just knocked but I had this habit of walking into his room just like that. It was always fun. I just never expected to see something like that. "What's going on here?" I asked as I saw Princess Alina's maid, Mandy, on his bed with both of them sweating profusely. They just finished having sex. It was so glaring and there was no denying it. I couldn't understand why he'd bed the maid, especially since she wasn't from our Pack and was only here because of the Princess. "Greetings, Al–Alpha Davon," she stuttered, surprised to see me, which was normal. "Get out!" I yelled at her, as she quickly jumped out of bed and began to walk away from the room in a hurry. I didn't even care how my brother would feel about me sending his guest away from his room but I didn't care. We had other important things to talk about and I wasn't particularly happy with what I saw. P

Chapter Forty-Five Elsa's POV "Has Prince Murray said anything to you yet?" Aby asked, with a cheeky smile on her face. "I don't know what you're talking about. Anything about what exactly?" "Don't be silly, Elsa. You know what I'm talking about. Has he asked you to be with him or anything like that? Even though he's a Prince, it's also possible that he's just shy. He might not have the confidence to say something like that to a very beautiful damsel like you but for sure, he should have made a move somehow. Maybe by the way he'll act towards you and just through any other hint that he could give. Have you not noticed any of that?" I just shook my head and continued cutting the onion which was in front of me. Aby was always relentless. She seemed more interested in Prince Murray's likeness of me than even me. She tugged on my dress a few times, trying to get my attention but I was having none of it. I wasn't even comfortable talking about Prince Murray in the presence of the oth

Chapter Forty-Seven Princess Alina's POV I couldn't believe what I just heard from Alpha Lucius so I drew close to him, just to make sure that I heard correctly. Everywhere was silent. All the cooks in the kitchen and the maids that cleaned up the place went mute, all staring at us with their mouths agape. They were as surprised as I was and I was certain that Elsa and her useless talkative friend were having the time of their lives. "You don't mean it, do you?" I asked, hoping it was just a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing. You know, something like an angry outburst of sorts, but his silence proved otherwise. "You can't possibly be saying we can't go ahead with our wedding because– because of this girl. Come on, Davon. What has come over you?" He shook his head and brushed past me with his shoulders, making his way down to his room as I followed him immediately. "Please, don't follow me. I'm not changing my mind about this," he said to me as he continued walking but that w

Chapter Forty-Nine Prince Murray's POV I got back to my room after spending some time outside, thinking of the implication of the things that I heard. The news had already spread like wildfire all over the Pack that my brother doesn't want to go on with his marriage to Princess Alina but I didn't hear why. It was very surprising to me. The wedding was almost there and while I knew that he wasn't so keen on getting married to her, I didn't think he'd call it off; not after taking the stress of bringing her to the Pack. I shut my door and went straight to the bed, lying on it so I could think properly. Not getting married to the Princess meant that my brother was free to marry someone else and knowing how fond of Elsa he was, I began to wonder if he was already thinking in that direction. I was never going to allow that to happen. Elsa was mine and no one else's. All I had to do was to get her to say yes to me and I had to act very quickly before it'd be too late. I was only a p
