CHAPTER TEN | THE IMPORTANT DOCUMENTSLUCAS KNIGHTThe incident with Vivian put me in such a bad mood that I didn't want to go to work again the next day. I have to though, if I don't, my Grandfather would be informed and might kill me for it.The stares and whispers I get as I confidently walk to my office are so annoying that I succumb to the urge to give someone the middle finger.Unfortunately for me, it's Ada I end up giving the middle finger and she is not at all pleased with my rude action.“Great, my stuckup boss is here." She greets.I roll my eyes and go into my office with Ada following me.“Are the pictures taken down yet?" I inquire.“Yes, they have been taken down since yesterday." She informs me.“You may have taken the pictures down but you can't take away the image from people's minds. You are lucky Grandpa is on vacation right now. I think you should use this opportunity to address the public about the Vivian issue before the news gets to Grandpa. You know how he is

CHAPTER TWELVE | THE PROPOSALVIVIAN ADDAMSI watch as Mr Knight walks out of the mansion and I can swear that I saw an evil smirk on his face. Not long after, Lucas Knight runs after him and holds his hands. This doesn't stop Mr Knight from advancing towards the car. He doesn't stop moving until he is directly in front of the car.I see AJ and wave at him forgetting that the windows of the car are tinted. Then I remember that he left me after he promised to help me win Luke over.I frown when I remember what happened after I told AJ of the special place I made for Lucas in the mansion.AJ left my house immediately I told him about the special place I made for Lucas because apparently, I'm hopeless.I decided to take matters into my own hands since he was obviously not going to help me again. My plan was simple, go to the Knight's Mansion and beg Lucas to hire me back, I will cook up a lie about how I will end up on the streets if he doesn't help me. I also plan to promise him to stop

CHAPTER FOURTEEN | THE CHILDHOOD MYSTERY VIVIAN ADDAMSI am not able to stop myself as my leg moves on its own until I am in front of him. I can't stop myself as I punch Luke square on the face. “Fuck!" Luke exclaims. One would think I would be satisfied after punching him, but I'm not. My mouth opens on its own and before I can control myself, shit starts spilling out of my mouth. “You know what? I think you deserve every single shit your Grandfather has put you through, you deserve more of the hell you have been true. You don't deserve your Grandfather's love, you don't deserve AJ, Ada or Ginna's love. You deserve to be hated by everyone. Your mother died after giving birth to you because she knew you would grow up to be a human garbage. Your father committed suicide because he knew you are not worthy of his love...he killed himself to get away from you." I take a deep breath when I am done.I thought I was done until I said one last thing.“You deserve nothing good in this worl

CHAPTER SIXTEEN | THE MARRIAGE CONTRACT VIVIAN ADDAMS“Sorry to burst your bubble Viv, but you don't have a choice. Mr Knight is extremely dangerous, we don't know what he will do to the both of you if you go against his wish. He thinks the picture you posted on the internet can cause controversy that would affect his business. He would do anything to make sure that never happens, including hurting you and Lucas." I still don't get what AJ is trying to drive at. Like I said, I'm not that smart. “Okay...what the hell does this have to do with me?" I inquire. “So, apart from the fact that she is a freak, a psychopath, an annoying bitch, a crazy stalker and an obsessive weirdo, she is also fucking dumb. How can you not understand what is trying to say you clueless idiot?" Luke exclaims, throwing his hands up in frustration. I ignore him and look at AJ, the only other normal person in this room aside from me. “You are getting married to Lucas Knight in two hours." AJ brings me out of

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN | UNWANTED BUT ESSENTIAL COMFORT VIVIAN ADDAMS I silently watched Lucas Knight break down at the entrance of Ginna's cottage. I watched him hold her hands when she took her final breath, I watched him tremble as he held her. I watched his face as different emotions went through him. I watched him hug her for the final time, and now, I'm watching him making sure that she has the best burial ever. I may not have known Ginna for as long as Ada or Lucas knew her but for the little time I knew her, I concluded that she is an angel sent to the Knight's family to watch over Luke. She took him like her own son, and did things only the real mother of a child would do for her own child. For the two years I worked in the Knight's mansion, I saw how she took care of Luke, watched over him, scolded him, and protected him to the best of her powers from Mr Knight. It feels like a dream, watching her being lowered to the grave. Ginna requested for a small burial, just her fa
