Sofia's POV It was a new day and the melodious chirping of the birds outside my window could be a sign of a good day and I hoped so.It was tough sleeping the previous night not because I took a nap earlier but because my head was filled with hurting thoughts. I freshened up and Sonia appeared again to invite me for breakfast this time.Mr Pompous didn't join us just like the previous night.Just Sonia, and her daughter who kept stealing glances at me with her small eyes.I beamed a smile at her so she would feel comfortable and not be hostile toward me. Lily eventually returned a smile and her mother who was watching the drama the entire time sighed relief."What's your day going to be like? You'll feel bored when alone in here" Sonia brought up a topic as Maid Teresa cleared the leftovers from the table. "I'm going to the office with Mr..." My lips halt and then continued speaking, "Mr McCain. I've not found a complete solution to a problem I'm trying to fix at the company" I alm

Sofia's POV "Alright Sofia, you can do this" I drained water from my face with the handkerchief in my possession and found my way out of the restroom.Fvcking hell! It was so difficult getting that handsome devil out of my mind.Almost pushed me to fvck myself in the restroom but slapping myself a couple of times helped."Pwww" I exhaled with my eyes shut as I approached the entrance door of the department where I worked in the company. "Today is gonna be a good day" I wished despite knowing I had stepped on the viper's tail and hoped not to be bit.Mr Pompous is unpredictable, so whatever happens, happens. The jealousy in his eyes was all I wanted to see and I got it.He still cares. The pompous, stubborn, son of a-- Geez!I arrived at my work desk and no one realized my presence because they were engrossed on one computer, clustered into themselves with dissatisfying noise. What's happening?I shrugged and had my seat with a deep breath. The movement of my chair seems to have caug

Sofia's POVI don't know how long I've been in my seating position, recalling what the therapist, Every Dennison had said to me.Was Mr. Pompous truly scared of love and the responsibility that comes with it?He isn't willing to share the thoughts of his heart with me so I can never know em'. Only if he lets me in."That--" My thought was interrupted by a voice that I recognized immediately as Mia's. "Hey, I've been searching the entire place for you"I turned to see her approaching in the strapless red gown that wrapped around her silhouette making her look alluring. Her heels caused a satisfying echo until she came to a halt in front of me."Hey..." That was all I could mutter. She beamed a bright smile."You look perfect" I complimented Mia whose cheeks turned red and she sat beside me on the bench.I adjusted my posture so the bench could accommodate us both."Are you bored? Everyone is having fun down here Sofia" She puts her arm around me with her eyes pointing in the direction

Clancy's POVI never expected the event of tonight to turn this way but it did.Arriving at the location of the birthday party that evening, I was updated with details by my man who was keeping an eye on Sofia for me.When I found her, she was asleep peacefully on the queen-sized bed and I couldn't resist the urge to tug her blonde hair behind her hair and reveal that flushed cheek of hers.I gulped dry air and could feel a heaviness in my heart that cannot be described.Sofia Dante is a drug for me and I'm fvcking high on her.Just the thought of possessing her as mine forever but the consequences could be just behind the door. She moaned to my touch and groaned out, signifying the consciousness of her mind.I couldn't let her know about my presence in the place so I left quickly. How can I take a rest for the day knowing my property is out there without protection?Yes, my men could keep an eye on her but the only one I could ever entrust to keep the Senorita safe is me, fvcking me.

Sofia's POV"For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish till death do us part, I, Clancy McCain, take you, Sofia Dante, to be my legally wedded wife, to have and to keep, from this day forward" I smiled crazily with red cheeks as Mr. Pompous read his vows while holding my hands with his green eyes fixed directly at mine.Even on our wedding day, he still chooses to be in his regular dress code.He can wear it as many times as he wants as long as he looks perfect for me."If anyone here objects to this holy union, speak now or forever hold your peace"The old voice of the priest who stood in front of us announced to the congregation and I wasn't even listening to him anymore. All I wanted was to kiss this pompous devil right now. This was all I ever wanted; to be with him forever."I do" A recognizable voice echoed from the congregation and instantly my heart quaked with unexplainable fear.My legs went jelly and I broke my eye conta
