AURELIA.I sat at the desk in my room, applying some light make-up to my face and thinking about the blood moon. I’m excited as well as I am nervous, I don't want to find my mate. I just want to live with Jake like a couple and possibly miss any blood moon if I can. I draw my brows on, staring in the mirror before picking up my lipstick and painting my lips a vibrant pink colour. ‘Aren’t you done? The Luna needs someone to pack up the snacks and drinks in the trunk of her car.’ Jake’s voice comes through our link and I sigh. My smokey eye make-up is great, the best attempt I have ever made. The blush in my cheeks are redder than what I'll put in normally and I'm not sure why. I don't even have the time to do another routine. I pick up my clutch bag, toss a few dollar notes in there and my phone too and leave my room, heading to the elevator and hitting the first floor button. I'm wearing a pink wrap dress that hugs my body too well and emphasizes on my large boobs. I don't even kn

AVA. I sat on my bed, looking at myself in the full-length mirror opposite me. Its been days and I have done nothing but bathe, think about my horrible mate situation and sleep. Luna Annette has been begging me to eat but I can't. Its even worse when they are at the dining table, I just end up throwing up whatever I ate. Annette will have her Luna ceremony in two weeks because she and alpha Gavin are mates. I’m emaciating badly and I can see myself going back to the person I was at the Kincaid's. Thin and bony, sunken eyes and worse of all, my long unkept brown hair that is almost reaching my butt. Knocks are heard on my door and I know immediately who it is. Annette doesn't know what happened as none of us refused to tell her the full story but she has dropped the matter since then. She just wants me to go back to my usual self. “Ava! Can you please eat? We are worried about you, please.” She begs behind the door. “You know what happens, I can't hold food in my belly.” I shru

AURELIAIt was a week after the blood moon and I had made my decision. Ava even helped me to pack the belongings that I have and Jake is with me on the idea. I am ready to move to Jake’s family house while Jake tries to hold off Lucille from rejecting him. I don't even know why she wants to reject Jake so soon but I know the truth will come out sooner or later. I’m with Jake in his Wrangler, sitting with him in the front while my personal stuff remain at the back. “Are you sure about this? Allen can be very angsty.” He explains and I sigh. It’s for the best. “I’m very sure. I don't want to get hurt by watching them everyday.” I said. “You can stay in my apartment.” He offered. “I can't just stay in the apartment for the whole day. I will be obliged to visit Ava or Andrea if I am in the same place with them,” I explained. I understand that he wants me close to him but I'm not as strong as Ava. I won't be able to withstand the pain… He mutters what sounds like an ‘okay’ and we con

AXEL. There was silence in the car for a long time and it was palpable. It's true. I lost the ability to love and put another person's needs before mine, the day I was banished from the pack. I thought that Selene, giving me a mate will bring my ability to love, back but it just escalated issues. The feelings I have for Andrea is not love. Infact, it is far from love. I just like her appearance and attitude and that's all. If only I even know what love is, then I may consider loving her. Ava is forcing herself on me and I hate it. She should try to be like her elder sisters. Trying by all means to get what she wants will get her nowhere. It will only put her in a position where I would have no choice but to reject her as my mate. The only thing keeping me from doing that is the ounce of love for humanity I have left in me… Andrea came down from the cat, only to run off to her friend. She couldn't even wave 'goodbye' to me, or mutter a 'thank you for the ride'. That just gi

ANDREA.I practically ran out of my class, the minute I heard the bell. Those were definitely the longest hours of my life and for the first time, I’m glad that we can have lunch breaks in the hostels. Leonie is a boarder so I can convince her to take me to her hostel for us to have our lunch. I want to get away from everyone and shy away from the annoying questions that they ask. Oh! There's another one…“Hey 'Drea. Did you find your mate?”The girl asked, trying to keep up a pace with me. “It's none of your business.” I snap at her. I'm not a rude person but they are getting very clingy and annoying. A little birdie probably circulated the news that I’m mated to an alpha and now, they want to hear from the horse's mouth. I won't give them that privilege though. The girl has shied away and I hear running footsteps behind me. The scent hits me before I even see her and I smile, standing for a while so she could catch up. “I can't believe our timetable. We don't even have classes f
