Chapter 31-Fighting with Uncle.
Ben converted himself into a small ball of light so that he would be able to reach his mom’s place in less than a second. His father was in his last stages and could perish at any moment. It was essential to fulfill his last desire so that he could rest in peace. However, Ben could hardly do anything as per his desire. He had enemies all around. His uncle was a pure vampire but possessed few magical powers. He had learned that from the witch so that he could use it to defeat his enemy. It was ridiculous, anyhow, that his greatest foes were his own people. He used it against his own brother or his nephew.Ben just started moving when he was trapped by a woolen ball. His uncle had thrown it in his direction so that he would be trapped in it, as he was in the form of light at that moment. Ben struggled to get out of the woolen ball around him. As much as he struggled, he got so entangled in the woolen ball. He somehow wanted to get rid of it. He managed to gain his original form so that

Chapter 32- Shattered by the father's demise.
I was going to meet my father-in-law for the first time, and the feeling was great. I wondered what pure vampires looked like and how they were different from half vampires. Why did the pure vampires dislike half vampires to such an extent as to drive them away from their territory? I wanted to see for myself the difference. Ben was flying faster than light, and we reached the vampire king’s mansion within seconds, and soon I could see that huge structure right in front of me. It had three buildings. Each was taller than Joseph Andrew’s skyscrapers. I noticed that the mansion was deep inside the forest, and it seemed mysterious and haunted, just as they show in horror movies.I had heard of the vampires, but I had never seen them, and I was a little curious to know more about them, although I was frightened in some corners of my heart. I knew that Ben was there with me, and he would not let anything happen to me. He will always protect me, but I could still feel the lurking fear withi

Chapter 33: Uncle Ronald claims the throne
Amidst the anguishing pain, Ben recalls that his uncle might be arriving at any moment and a terrible fight might ensue again, and so he seemed to make up his mind about something. I had spent some time with him already, and I could guess from his expressions that he was making some decisions.“Mom, pick up some ash from here as a memory of dad, and I will drop you back to your place. The situation here is going to be tense, and so I recommend that you return to your place, as it is dangerous for you to stay back. I will bring you here once I acquire the throne after completing all the formalities here.”“I am not going anywhere, Ben. I have decided that I will spend the rest of my life in this mansion. I want to repent for my mistake. I had been too rude to your father. I should have agreed to meet him once when he expressed his desire for the very first time. If I stay here, I will feel that he is around, and the feeling of his presence will make my life move. I don’t think I will b

Chapter 34: Anne gets trapped in the shield.
Ben flew as fast as he could, fearing that Uncle Ronald might find some way out to break the shield around his mother and his wife. He was still worried about our safety. He flew straight to his mother’s place and gathered all the food items that he could possibly find in the house so that we didn’t have to starve ourselves. He then proceeded towards the wardrobe to collect his mom’s clothes. He realized that I didn’t have any extra pairs of dresses because he had carried me right from Joseph Andrews trap. He decided to buy a few sets of clothes for me while on his way to the vampire forest. If he were to buy clothes from the vampire market, all he would get would be long, black gowns, which obviously I wouldn’t wear.He gathered fruits, ten packets of bread, pasta, juice bottles, sauce, butter, chocolates, cookies, and vegetables that were available in the refrigerator. His bag had already become heavy. He then filled the remaining space in the bag with as many dresses as his mom cou

Chapter 35: Ben has a tough time unlocking the shield.
Uncle Ronald had disappeared from Ben’s sight, and he felt a little relieved as he could now fly without any hindrance, although the weight on his back was still making him slower. Finally, he reached the vampire forest and made his way through the vampire king’s mansion into the vampire king’s room. He was relieved to see that the shield was still protecting me and his mom.He had returned almost after two hours, and I managed to make two cups of coffee for me and mom. His mom was too depressed and was in no mood to converse with me or with anybody else. She wanted to be left all alone for a while. I had been waiting eagerly for Ben’s arrival, as the place was making me feel uncomfortable. I had been used to maids and servants attending to me even for the smallest of tasks, and I used to be surrounded by people around me for some work or another, as I was a successful woman. The media used to cover the smallest incidents occurring in my life, and now that loneliness was almost killin

Chapter 36: The food and belongings disappear.
“Take care of yourself, Anne, while I return with the cutter. I will leave the belongings here as it will be difficult to fly along with the belongings loaded on my back.” Ben looks all around. “I don’t understand where they are going to be safe. This Uncle Ronald knows nothing but to pester me with little things.” He said.“I think you can place it on the table and cover it with some cloth so that nobody happens to see that, lest they become suspicious of human presence in the vampire king’s mansion.” I warned him.“That is right! I will place it on the table and cover it with the tablecloth. It’s already 5 p.m., and I need to return soon because after sunset, the vampires become active, and your life will be in danger if somebody manages to break open the shield.”Ben left, and I kept waiting for him to return while focusing on his mother’s health and mental state. I wanted to pacify her somehow. I decided to make ourselves one more cup of coffee, although my stomach seemed to rumb

Chapter 37: Ben returns with the glass cutter.
As Ben flew to the city to fetch a glass cutter, Uncle Ronald followed him closely, trying to hinder his activities in all possible ways. This time, he was in his invisible form again and was determined to behead Ben by all means. He had a stake as well as a pocket knife in his hand.“I will have to pierce this stake very carefully this time into his neck and escape from the spot immediately using my high speed, and I don’t have to give him a chance to drip his half vampire blood over me. Even if a drop of his blood falls on my body, it will act as an acid, and I will turn into ashes, just like my brother. I have no intentions to perish so soon.” Uncle Ronald thought to himself.Uncle Ronald, in his invisible form, tried to attack Ben again. He wanted to do away with Ben even before he could meet the other vampires or reveal to them that he was the next heir. He was a little worried that the other pure vampires might turn out to support him as an heir. He had it determined in his mind

Chapter 38: Ben's mother faints.
“I should have at least asked him what evidence he has against me. If he shows the evidence to the pure vampires, then all my efforts so far to become the vampire king would turn futile.” Uncle Ronald pulled at his hair in anguish. He tried moving further, but the thought of getting exposed to the vampire world was troubling him. He somehow managed to fly ahead when his gaze fell upon the vampire king’s minister, ‘Frank’Nice to meet you, Frank! Uncle Donald was greeted as he felt relieved to see his only friend in the vampire world. Nice to meet you too, Donald! “Where are you these days? Did our trick work or not?” Frank asked.“Speak softly, Frank! That Ben, the vampire king’s only half vampire son, is here these days.” Uncle Donald replied.Ah! I see! “That is the reason that has made you so busy these days, isn’t it?” Frank grinned at his own question.“It is nothing funny, Frank. That half-vampire is a tough nut to crack. I have tried all I could to grab the throne, but this Be

Chapter 39: Attacked by the Vampire.
After dinner, Ben’s mother and I decided to sleep while Ben felt the craving to drink some blood as he felt the need to rejuvenate himself after a long, tiring day. It was for the first time that Ben was going to consume blood right in my presence with my consent and knowledge.I dreaded it and got a nauseating sensation just to think that he would consume blood. I wanted to stop him from doing that, as I condemned the idea of him consuming it, but there was very little that I could do to prevent him from doing that. He was a half vampire after all and not a human. I could not stop his craving, as he had been used to that habit since his childhood. He had his own world—totally different from humans. He preferred spending his nights doing such activities instead of sleeping, but he never forgot to provide me with the love and care that I deserved as his wife.I was annoyed for a while when he opened the refrigerator and reached out for a bottle of blood, but soon Iwas hypnotized as he

Chapter 40: Ben produces another camera with a backup.
Ben produced another camera from his pocket. “Look at this, Frank. This camera has all the backups from the previous one. Do you feel that you have destroyed the evidence against you? It is still safely saved on this miniature camera of mine.” Ben said.Don’t worry, Ben! I will destroy that too within seconds. I will make sure that you have no evidence against me or Ronald.” Frank snatched the camera from Ben’s hand and again banged it on the floor. The camera was broken into pieces.“Ha.ha..ha.. Did you think that I would let you win? We have made a full-proof plan against the vampire king, and we are sure to grab his throne soon. Has he perished, or is he still alive?” Frank burst into laughter.“You will soon come to know everything, Frank. Have some patience. Don’t be under the illusion that you have destroyed all the evidence, because it is still safe with me, Frank. However, I will let you know about that some other time.” Ben produced a knife from his pocket and held it right o
