Emmi: Family City

Emmi POV:I smile as I dance, the mask firmly in place, sealing my identity and hopefully helping me with my conquest. I turned eighteen today, not that you would think it by looking at my life and how I spent today. People will look at me and see freedom, a city to explore and enjoy. That, though, is a shocking lie. I’m in prison. This city is my prison, and I have no way of escaping and no way of changing things.I continue dancing with this sweet guy. He has no idea who I am, which I like. If he knew, he wouldn’t be near me. Actually, if he knew, he would likely be screaming, ‘The Princess is here’. Yeah, because the Princess should never be here. I have a list of places I can visit. The rest are no-gos. According to my family anyway. Solace City, my parents’ city, my prison. My hands pull him closer as I dance. I begin feeling myself relax and smile as we talk. How free can you really be in a city where most people know who you are? And those who don’t? Well, if they even try to t

Emmi: Six Years Later

Emmi POV:I stand in the bar, looking around. I guess I got my point across. Sitting down, I point to the whiskey. Dean nods, shaking while he pours the drink. I would be shaking. I should be. I thought a quick punch and they would leave me alone.“On the house.” His words are quiet as he continues to shake.“You’re safe, Dean. I won’t mention how I got this scratch. I think I’ve made it clear that I don’t take orders or like being touched, haven’t I?” I look around the bar, everyone nodding. Jacob sat on the chair, holding his face. That was a mistake, and it freaked me out, but I couldn’t backtrack after it had happened. They would have seen me as weak, and then it would have gotten worse.“He okay to leave? He won’t mention what happened, will you, Jac?” Dean calls over.I won’t keep him here. There is a chance he won’t be able to see again. He needs checking, and while I want to say that I hope he is okay and I’m sorry, I can’t.So, instead, I turn. “Oh, Jacob won’t, because if he

Emmi: Escaping

Emmi POV:“Deal. How are you getting me out?”He grins more. “Yo, Dean. Throw my shit here.” Ethan winks at me, and I watch Dean walk over. Then, leaning down, he throws a sack at Ethan. “Keep the contents. I need the space for a little one.”He opens it, tipping everything out onto the bar, then looks at me. Wait, he’s joking, right? He wants to put me in a fucking duffle bag. My head falls back. This has disaster written all over it. He can’t get me out of the city in that. They will check, and then what? I just pretend that I was kidnapped. That could work.“Don’t look so scared little one. The guys at the checkpoint know not to touch that bag. It is used for moving shit from one city to the next. They get paid a lot from the Wolversons to ignore that bag. So even if you fucking sneezed, they wouldn’t touch it.” He stands and walks to the door, waiting for me.Dean looks at me, shaking his head. Maybe I’m crazy, or maybe, just maybe, I want to be free. Standing, I follow him outsid

Emmi: Gambling

Emmi POV:Walking into a bar, I feel my body tense. This is nothing like my city.“Stand your ground, little Princess. These fuckers don’t care and will fuck you up. Not many women dare step foot in here.”I laugh at his words. He just saw me take on three guys in Dean’s. These guys are nothing. Yet everyone is looking at me like I’m fresh meat. Some I recognise from my city, but they simply turn their heads. Others, however, are clearly wondering who I am.I walk to a table and sit down, Ethan handing me a drink as I sit playing. An hour passes, and luck isn’t on my side, so time to get dirty. I lean over, ensuring my breasts pop out the top of my dress.“Ethan, do you play poker?” I lick my lips, watching as the guy’s stare at me.“Yeah, why?” He leans against the wall swirling his glass before lifting it to his lips.“Do you play as good as you fuck? I might need to tag you in if you do.” I watch as he chokes on his drink, the gasps from around the table loud.“You fucked her?” I t

Bear: Little Lamb

Bear POV:I stand before her, peering into her eyes. She’s scared for Ethan, which is sweet but unneeded. His fate will be far worse than Mich’s. I look across her body. Fucking perfection, her dress purposely smaller than needed to cause her breasts to flood out of the top. Her hips are perfect for grasping and god, those lips… Tainted red and plump, perfect fucking lips and all I can think about is kissing them, kissing them while my hands devour her entire body.“Please, don’t hurt him.” I watch as tears fill her eyes.Tilting my head, I smile. “Now, you have me wondering, little lamb. Why are you so upset that he will die? Has he touched you? Taken from you what he had no right to?” I lean closer, my hand still wrapped around her neck. Fuck, she smells like heaven. My cock hardens against my jeans. There’s blood smeared on her neck from my hand. Now that is hot. Yet the pang of jealously somehow swells within me at the thought of Ethan touching her.“No, he hasn’t touched me. You’

Emmi: Meeting The Wolversons

Emmi POV:I sit watching as Bear disappears through the door, the rage still building - but more at myself for this stupid move. Some of the rage is directed at my mother too, for lying over what the party is for. She wouldn’t have told me; no, she would have let me go and just waved me off at the end of the fucking night! I stand and walk towards the door, and I don’t even know why because I can see the lift needs a card, and I don’t have one. The door to the stairs clearly needs a key too. Walking back through, I go into the same room as before, my eyes on the windows. I glance out. It’s a balcony. Opening the door, I step out and glance down. It’s at least a 20ft drop. Maybe a bit less if I can use the balcony and dangle from the bottom? I grab my bag, deciding to try to call someone, anyone. I glance at my phone and quickly give in. I can’t, how can I? No one is going to go against two fucking cities to rescue me. I scream slightly and kick the railing.“Who the fuck are you?”I j

Emmi: Awkward Moment

Emmi POV:I feel awkward, and a new conversation needs to start.“Why is there a guy strapped up in your room Gunner?” Dante breaks the silence and changes the subject, which I am grateful for. I now let my eyes go to Zane and finally take him in. He isn’t as big as the others, at least in height. Yet his muscles are just as big, if not bigger. His strong jawline is perfect. Yet, he is covered, his shirt buttoned all the way up, almost as if he is hiding something. What though? In those deep brown eyes, though, is pure warmth and love. I look towards Gunner. He is all muscle, big, and his blue eyes are mesmerising yet full of crazy; even I know crazy when I see it. I stay looking at him as I replay Dante back. He is very much like Bear, but with green eyes, his hair long and tied back. They all have tattoos, the same ones, I am guessing that climb up their necks. I can’t be sure as most of Zane’s is hidden. Bear’s eyes are just like Gunners, blue and mesmerising.“Little lamb?” I turn

Gunner: The Truth

Gunner POV:I smile at Ethan. He doesn’t give in, not at all. I sit back on the chair with the dagger in my hand. I throw it and watch as it lodges into his leg.“All I want you to answer is why. None of this she asked, or because you needed money. It was a foolish move, even for money. Do you like her?” I pick up the other dagger and twirl it around my fingers. He keeps going back to the same reason. For the money, yet his eyes tell a different story, and he has money already. I raise my hand.“Okay. Fine, I will tell you.” I smile and stand. Walking towards him, I hold the blade against his chest.“The truth or I will carve my name into your chest.” I smile, pushing the blade against him.“I have known her for years. The bar she usually hangs out in. I worked there for a while. I saw her for years, years of wanting to have fun and everyone stopping her. I watched as she was slowly drowning beneath the restrictions. I saw the pain and hurt in her eyes when no one would sit with her a

Emmi: Going Home

My head hurts, I drank too much last night, more than I have ever drunk before, and I guess that was my way to cope with the facts of everything. The party is tomorrow night, and I know I can’t escape now. I know that once I get home, there will be no freedom. My mum will be getting me ready for this party. I want to fight and scream against her, because why should I be the perfect bride (or almost bride)? After getting showered and dressed, I walk out, unsure of what mood these four guys will be in this morning. I can only hope for good ones. I see them sitting together, eating, and talking, all falling quiet as I step through into the room. “Come eat, little lamb. Then we will sort out a way to get you back home.” I nod and walk through, once again taking my seat next to Bear. I eat quietly as they talk, but it is as if they have changed the subject now that I’m here. They seem to be trying to avoid anything business or personal. Which leaves nothing. They don’t trust me, and I don’

Emmi: Brutal Reality

Walking in, my mother is standing there, waiting.“Your dress for tomorrow is upstairs.”I walk past her and nod. “Oh.”“Oh? Is that all you can say? Oh? When I bought you the dress because you weren’t home to get one yourself?”What does she want? A thank you, mum, for getting me a new dress that I will wear while you give me away? I just want to rush to my room and hide away.“I have also booked for you to have your hair and makeup done.”I continue walking up the stairs.“Emmi!”I turn, hearing her shout. “Would you be throwing yourself down to say thank you if your parents pretty much sold you off and forced you into an arranged marriage?” I stare at her, waiting.“You were not sold. It was a deal. The Wolversons helped us gain control of the city again. In return, we promised you would marry their son.” She looks at me like I have It all wrong.“You may not have sold me for money, but you gave me away to cover the debt. You are still giving me away when you don’t even know the fa
