Chapter 4 Grayson's POV “Haah,” I groaned as I buried my face in my hands. “What was I thinking? Why did I say such a stupid thing to her?” I felt like such an idiot.I couldn't stop thinking about her smile, her gentle eyes, her warm presence. She seemed to have such an effect on me, and I was unable to explain it. I wanted to kiss her, to hold her, to be close to her. The last time I felt this way didn't end well, and when I got married, she abandoned me and my son. I remembered begging her not to leave.“I can't pretend to be happy with you, It’s over, just let me go.” Alisha’s words rang in my head like a broken record, I was stunned, unable to respond.“Okay, what about our baby? This will be unfair to him. Please give me a chance so we can settle our difference.” I pleaded, hoping this will convince her.“Which baby?” She asked in a mocking tone, “that thing.” She continued pointing towards our son. “That your mess takes care of it.” She said her eyes were cold, and her face

Amelia’s POV.I heard a tiny voice calling my name, “Amelia, Amelia.” I groaned, my eyes still closed, as I was pulled from my thoughts. I tried to open my eyes, but they were still heavy with sleep. I blinked a few times, and then squinted against the bright light of the early morning sun. As my eyes adjusted, I saw Jayden's face in front of me. He was looking at me, his face full of concern. I smiled at him, trying to shake off the remnants of my dream. “Good morning,” I said, my voice still a bit groggy. “Good morning,” he said, but his face was still downcast. “What's the matter?” I asked, a note of concern in my voice. “I'm almost late for class,” he said, looking at me with wide eyes. I looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was already 7:00 am. “Oh no!” I exclaimed. I quickly sprang into action, grabbing Jayden's clothes and throwing them at him. “You have to get dressed, now!” I said, my voice sharp.Jayden started to laugh, and I looked at him in amusement.

Amelia’s POV.I tried to come up with an idea, but nothing came to mind. I racked my brain, searching for a way to turn the situation around, but no ideas came to me. With a sigh, I got up from the couch and headed to my room. I collapsed onto my bed, burying my face in my pillow. I couldn't help but feel like I had messed everything up. How could I have been so foolish? My head began to throb, and I felt a headache coming on. I picked up my phone and set an alarm for the time I had to take Jayden to school. The bus only brought him to school, but I had to pick him up after. I would rather not oversleep and risk getting a call from the school, which would only add to Greyson's list of complaints about me. As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I just hoped I could prevent any further problems.I lay there, tossing and turning, trying to get comfortable, but it was no use. I gave up, resigned to just lying still and closing my eyes, hoping sleep would eve

Amelia’s POV. My eyes widened as he towered over me, his face contorted in a smile. I blinked, my hands coming up to cover my face in shock. For what seemed like an eternity, he just stood there, staring at me. Finally, he composed himself, and his features hardened. “What the hell are you doing here?” he growled, his voice low and threatening. I swallowed hard, my heart pounding in my chest. “I-I came to apologize,” I managed to stammer out, my gaze fixed on the floor. My jaw dropped as he spoke, and I struggled to make sense of what I was hearing. “You don't need to apologize,” he said, his voice softening. I looked at him, wondering if I was dreaming. This wasn't the Greyson I knew, the one who yelled and berated me at every opportunity. He cleared his throat, and I realized he was waiting for a response. “Thank you, sir,” I said, unsure of what else to say. “It's nothing,” he said, and then he slammed the door. I stood there, rooted to the spot, my eyes fixed at the d
