Lucas’ POV Fuck. Here it comes again. My wolf fucked up, I showed up and cleaned up the shit. I shifted into myself. "What the fuck have you done?" I asked my wolf. There was no response. Typical. If passive-aggressive behavior was a fucking competition, my wolf would be the champion of every single match. Just as he had won every single fight in his life. I got impatient. I ripped off the red cobra’s head and threw it on the floor, letting his eyes stare at its own fucking broken neck. Fucking dog. Good for nothing. Can’t even kill a snake properly. I lowered my head and looked down at the girl. There was white foam coming out of her mouth. Her eyes were bleeding. Her arms and legs were twitching. "Are you fucking kidding me?" I asked my wolf, "I let you out for less than a day, and this is what you’ve done?" There was still no response. "I’m talking to you. You fucking idiot." This filthy piece of furry junk has already got on my nerves. "I’ve heard you for the fi

Louisa’s POV　　"You have to remain still. Don’t move." my wolf said.　　She seldom talks to me like this in my mind.　　"Could you come out and help me, please?" I asked.　　"No. The collar on your neck was dipped in wolfsbane. You can’t shift." she said.　　I felt sweat dripping from my forehead.　　Another spider arrived at my face.　　I gasped.　　"Don’t move." my wolf said.　　"What are they doing? Are there more to come?" I was screaming silently, "I can’t do this anymore…"　　"Stop panicking! You have to close your eyes and remain absolutely still. They won’t bite you if they think that you’re a rock." my wolf said.　　I shut my eyes and mouth closed.　　"The fear of spiders is a primal one. It’s an old phobia derived from our ancestors. I can’t help it." I said desperately to her.　　"You can do whatever you want to do. Your fear is irrelevant. It’s all inside your mind. Just don’t let your fear overtake you. Just concentrate on healing yourself." my wolf said.　　She was always so calm a

Louisa’s POV　　"Little rascal. What are you doing up on an elephant’s head?"　　I heard a familiar voice.　　I couldn’t believe what I heard.　　"Uma?! Is that you?!" I cried out and tried to get down.　　The mother elephant used her trunk to wrap me again.　　She carried me and put me down next to a blurry figure.　　I struggled to get up, but I could only lift my body up with one arm.　　A pair of warm and gentle hands were placed on my waist and lifted me up.　　Then, I smelt it. The fragrance of thyme and hypericum.　　"Uma… It’s really you! I’m not dreaming! You’re here with me. You aren’t dead!" I cried in her arms.　　Her skin was soft and tender.　　"I know. I know. Little rascal. I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have left you alone." she said.　　I lifted my hands to touch her face.　　Her eyebrows, her nose, her lips and her chin.　　It was really her!　　"Uma, Lucian said that you were dead…" I cried, "He said you bit your own tongue and you were burnt in the fire…"　　"I am here, you little ra

Louisa’s POV　　When the first ray of morning sun woke me up, I stretched out my arms and murmured, "Uma…"　　There was nothing in front of me except the relics of the bonfire.　　I couldn’t see Uma anywhere.　　I turned back.　　The black wolf was still behind me, sleeping soundly.　　"Uma…?" I raised my voice a bit and my throat was burning.　　I was so thirsty.　　Then, I heard some rustling sound coming behind a bush.　　I was alerted because I thought it might be a snake or something.　　So I pulled up a charred stick and tried to defend myself.　　A hUman figure emerged from the bush.　　It was a young man in Uma’s clothes.　　He had got fair hair and a pair of turquoise-colored eyes.　　He was holding a bowl made of bamboo stick, which was filled with water.　　He was surprised to see me awake, so the water splashed a bit from the bowl.　　"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you up." he walked to me and said, "I thought you might need some water when you’re awake."　　"Stop! Don’t come closer!"

Lucas’ POV　　"What the fuck did she just say? How dare she flirt with other men like that without my permission?!" I shouted.　　The fucking wolf didn’t say anything.　　He just lay on the side of the bonfire and watched the she-wolf running around and making breakfast with that fucking warlock.　　"What is this? Playing house? What the fuck is wrong with the happy look on your face? You’re supposed to be miserable! Have you become her dog now?" I yelled.　　"You don’t have to raise your voice. I’m the only one who can hear you right now." my wolf said and his eyes started to get half-closed, "I look happy because I am happy. She has just declared her love for me. So I’m her lover, not her dog. You, on the other hand, will never get her love."　　"I don’t want her love!" his attitude was really irritating, "I’m going to reject and kill her anyway. I let you out to earn her trust and get her real name. I need some mission status report, right now!"　　He drew a line on the soil with his pa
