Mihir's POV " Why do you want Maurvi to work as your assistant? " He asked. " Oh, not Maurvi Aunty... Of course. " " Sandhya?? Vikram will kill you at the suggestion. They both are much more senior than you. " " Oh, please, I am not talking about her either. They are like my mom. Why would I want them to assist me? I want Tami... " I said and he burst out laughing." Ohhh! Tamiii... So you should have said the best intern dietician. Or you could say that you wanted Tami, your wife, or my daughter to assist you. You are such a bore, I swear... You are her husband, my son-in-law, you could have just said it directly. " He said and I smiled. " So, can I have her as my assistant? " " Why do you want her? If I think that you have a valid reason, I will allow you." He asked with a raised eyebrow. He was such a romantic devil. " Er... Umm. Sir, I want her because she is... a very... good intern, the best one." I said what came to my mind. " So?? Why can't Dr Rajvanshi have her

Tami's POVIn the evening, when we returned home, Mom and Dad were not at home. The dining table was set beautifully, for two people, and dinner was laid on the table. Mihir's behavior continued to perplex me. He caught my hand and took me to the table then he even drew a chair for me. He served dinner, a delicious spread of my favorite dishes. It was a side of him I had never seen before, and it left me both intrigued and wary."What's gotten into you?" I finally asked as we sat on the couch, a comfortable silence between us.He looked at me, his expression unreadable. "What do you mean?""You're... different," I said, searching for the right words. "Is that a bad thing?" he asked, a hint of amusement in his voice."No, it's just... unexpected."He sighed, leaning back and running a hand through his hair. "Tami, I know I've been distant. And I know I've hurt you. But I'm trying to make amends. I want us to start fresh."His words sent a wave of conflicting emotions through me. I wa

Tami's POV I tried not to blush, feeling the sincerity in his words. It was hard to stay guarded when he was being so tender and affectionate. But a part of me still held back, wary of getting hurt again."Mihir, it is late and I am very tired," I said, managing to get out of his arms, and went to our room.I took out one of the new night suits that I bought after going to the seminar as I could not think of wearing the one of those that I had now, even when I was alone in my room. Changing into it I came back to the room. " Where did you get this one? " He asked as soon as I came out. " I bought a few like this after going to the seminar as I didn't have any sober, modest nightwear. " I said. " Good, you didn't wear one of those... nightwear there. But now you don't have to wear them. You looked very cute in one of those that Mohit uncle and mom gave you. " He said with a naughty smile. What had gone into him? " But I was not comfortable wearing them," I said and slept on the

Tami's POV Within five minutes, Chachu, Chachi, and Sri were in the room. They all looked happy, their faces glowing with joy. Siddh, my brother, was in the OPD at that time, so he came as soon as he could. He looked happy too, but there was a hint of apprehension in his eyes."How are you feeling, Tami? Are you happy?" he asked gently. I nodded, though my mind was still reeling from the news. Just then, Mihir’s parents entered, their faces beaming with joy. They hugged me tightly and showered me with blessings. They were so excited talking about the coming child. "I think we should let her rest for now. She was saying earlier that she was very tired," Dad suggested, and everyone left after hugging me, leaving only Sri with me.Sri sat down beside me and took my hand. "I was transferred to the gynecology department all of a sudden," she said, trying to make small talk.I nodded absentmindedly, still trying to process everything. Suddenly, Mihir rushed into the room, still wearing hi

Tami's POV I was very upset and I didn't want to talk to anyone at the moment so I told Siddh to keep everyone away from me. But Parshav walked in just then and he congratulated me. He asked me how was I feeling and just managed to smile. " What happened?? You are not looking very excited. " He asked. " I don't know why she is looking so tired. " Siddh said. " I need to sleep... Can you both please leave? " I said. Before they could leave, Mahi and Ron Jiju walked in with flowers and a box. " How are you feeling, Tami? Here these are for you and tell me what you want to have, we had gone shopping and accidentally we found a new chaat cafe. They had this amazing chaat platter, we thought of you and got it for you as well. " Mahi said with excitement. I didn't know what to say. " Thanks, but she doesn't need anything. " Siddh said firmly. " Don't get mad, Siddh, the quantity is very generous. You can also have. " Ron said. " Neither my sister nor I need anything to do with Mih
