Jamie's POVCrazy! You are crazy, Jake!” I yelled at him in exasperation, I didn't know what else to do. How can he suddenly do whatever he wants when I'm doing my best?"I'm sorry, I will still help you though." He replied that what he is doing right now is not a big loss to the plan for both of us."Do you think sorry can even help us right now, Jake?!" I frowned, I'm still getting better at acting as well as fighting with Lorain, but Jake should be the one I'm looking out for. Goodness, I'm so frustrated!"But, what can I do? Maybe if I miss the opportunity I have now, I won't see him again, Jamie." I saw his eyes with emotion again, ugh this poor man!I just sat on the sofa while still trying to get back to my senses, "Enough, how many times have I heard that from you? Also, please don't look at me like that because I hate it every time you do that." I rub my face with both my hands."Sorry, but I won't agree, Jake. We talk before you see him again, you need to fulfill that." I sa

Three days laterIt's been three days since that happened, but I still can't bring myself to look Raziel in the face or even in the eyes. How did I manage to squirt, was I so carried away by what we were doing to experience that thing?I can't help but massage my forehead, we have a meeting today and he will pick me up. But I don't know how to talk to him like before, until I can I would like to avoid him first.I was startled by someone knocking on the door, even though I didn't look I was sure it was him. I smiled awkwardly when I opened the door, "h-hello." I greeted him.He stared at me before greeting back, "Are you ready to go, or am I too early?""No, you came just right." I could feel my jaw twitching a little but I couldn't get rid of the awkward smile on my lips."Seriously, Lorain." He took a deep breath while holding his waist, "You don't need to act like that, actually it's like you're trying to smile."The smile on my lips gradually disappeared because of what he said, h

"Are you just saying that to make me feel better?" The tone of his voice with me is still a bit off, but at least now he is looking at me unlike before. “if yes, don’t bother.” He scoffed."No, I'm serious," I answered and looked directly into his eyes, hoping he would finally feel okay, “you deserve more than what you are thinking.”"Fine, let's say that what you say is true but it doesn't mean that I agree with what is happening, as long as I can prevent him from getting close to you, I will do it." He said like a child.I laughed while nodding, "It's up to you if that's what you want," I ruffled his hair."Hey, it took me a while to fix that just so I could look presentable to you." He forbade me, but I didn't stop and it made me enjoy what I’m doing."You look more handsome with your hair like that, remember when I went to your house." I put his mind at ease and caressed his soft cheeks, it looked like he was using even better skincare than me."I know I'm handsome, Lorain." He sa

Jamie's POVAs the days passed and our fights became more and more frequent, he rarely came to my house so that we could have private time with each other. "Here, you have two meetings at that time." He put down a piece of paper with the details written on it."Lewis," I called his name and was about to hold his hand when he quickly pulled it away as if he didn't want even the tips of our fingers to touch.I felt a sudden pain in my chest because of what he did, I quickly looked up at his face but even his eyes couldn't look at me. “Lewis,” I called him again."Please don't call me like that here," he answered without looking at me, "you know what can happen if there is even one person who knows what we have, I'm your secretary now so treat me like one.”He stepped back and bowed, "I will go out now, don't forget the meeting later because those are important investors." He was about to turn his back on me when I quickly pulled the hem of his clothes.I stood up from my seat and tighte

Lorain's POV"We already shipped everything, if you can check it right now and see if something is missing then please inform us immediately so we can do our best to fulfill our duty," I said seriously in front of them, compared to before, Jake's grandfather and uncle became quieter. It was actually better, but I don't know why I feel the way I do, I feel uncomfortable every time their stares land on me. Once again, I noticed Jake's uncle grinning at me."That's good, I think that the people in the department have already checked the materials and nothing is missing. Our project is almost finished and I'm happy, I mean the partnership with you guys is smooth." Jamie answered.I noticed something else, apart from the silence of the two, Jamie's behavior seemed to be limited unlike before. Even though his speech has become soft, they don't often fake smiles anymore.I know that I don't have the right to interfere and worry about her but I can't help it, what if like me she also experien
