Emma’s POVUgh. Here we go again. In the past few months of Liam and I trying to navigate our way around what his father asked us to do, anytime Liam asks if we can ‘talk,’ no matter how the conversation starts, it always ends the same way, badly. Maybe it happens that way because the conversation starts with him asking if we can talk. Maybe that’s it. Because anytime he starts like that, I already know what the topic of the conversation is about, and I’m never wrong. It’s always about this whole giving birth thing, and it starts slowly and then gets heated, leading to one of us, mostly me, walking out on the other, making sure to slam a door for the effect, which would then lead to us not speaking to each other for the next two days. However, the last time we had this conversation was a week or so after I had come back from Tony’s place, back when Liam’s injury was still kind of fresh. We were talking and things got heated again, as always. This time, he was the one who walked out

Liam’s POV“Good morning,” Emma greeted me as she fluttered her eyes open, trying to sit up on the bed.It was currently quarter past 9 a.m. and I was getting ready to head over to my parent’s place so I could speak with them about this whole grandchild issue. I had gotten up by a little past 8 a.m. and started getting ready so I was pretty much done at this point. I was about to put on my shirt when Emma woke up.“Morning,” I greeted her back with a wide smile on my face.“Why are you so smiley?” she asked, chuckling. “Is there something on my face?” she touched her face to check.“Yes”.“Really? What is it?” she began to panic.“Beauty”.“Ew,” she rolled her eyes, laughing. “God, you’re so corny”.“I know,” I replied, laughing alongside her and wiggling my eyebrows.I walked up to the side of the bed she was on and planted a kiss on her forehead. “Hey, gorgeous”.“Hi,” she blushed. “You smell really nice and look good too. Where are you off to?”“First of all, thank you. Secondly,

Liam’s POVAs soon as I stepped out of the main house door, I sprinted down the stairs and into my car. I immediately got onto the road and started heading back home with just one thing, or rather, one person, on my mind; Emma. Since she was taking over my mind so much, I decided to put a call through to her. “Hey there,” she greeted me once she picked up the phone. “Hey, beautiful. What’re you up to?” “Nothing much. I just finished taking a shower now I’m about to dress up. Are you still at your parent’s place?” she asked. “Nah. I left a few minutes ago. I’m on my way back home now”. “Oh. Okay. So how did that go?” she asked, sorry evident through her voice. “As well as it possibly could considering the kind of person my father is,” I sighed. “Are you okay?” the sound of worry now more evident in her voice. “I’ll be alright,” I smiled. “Don’t worry about me”. “Alright,” she said, taking a deep breath. “Hey, do you have to be at work tomorrow?” I asked. “Uhm, not unless a

Emma’s POVWhat the fuck?!This has to be a joke. Did I hear him well?I doubt because what the actual fuck did Liam just say to me?!Love? How? When? Where? What? All these thoughts kept floating through my head as I slowly started releasing myself from his embrace. It happened so slowly that I didn’t even realize I had stopped holding him until I was a few inches away from him. “Emma,” he called my name out, softly, breaking me out from my chain of multiple thoughts.“What?” “Are you okay? You look like you’re about to throw up”. “Yeah, well I’m currently standing naked in a dirty lake, and you just told me that you love me. Excuse me if wanting to hurl is something that I feel like doing at this moment,” I snapped at him. “I’m sorry,” he said, quietly. I took a deep breath, trying to gather my thoughts. “I’m sorry. I just, I can’t do this right me,” I said, hurriedly as I rushed out of the water. I picked up my clothes and put on my shirt and underwear then ran into the cab

Emma’s POVIt was morning. I didn’t even realize it when Liam and I slept off, but I woke up in his arms on the couch.I needed to pee, so I gently removed his arms from around my waist and ran to the bathroom. When I was done, I decided to use the opportunity to brush my teeth as well before I came back into the living room and just sat on the rocking chair opposite the couch he was on, staring at him as I began thinking about everything that had happened yesterday. After he gave me the shocking news about him and Anna’s breakup last night, I knew that I was truly the only one with one leg in and the other leg out at that point. So yeah, our moving forward as a couple really solely depended on me and the decision I made.Since he told me he was actually single now, I decided to come clean and tell me exactly how I felt about him; that I loved him and have felt that way for a long time, even though a big part of me believes we won’t ever be together for real. He appreciated my hone
