While doing rounds through the mall,. Mikayla along with other relevant executives and Danielle, her secretary are doing the daily checks to know which of the shops earn well and those that don't so they can be on their way."What about Hermes?" Mika asks as they approach the shop."It's earns better than a dozen of others.""Hm. What's their average weekly income?" She asks Danielle who checks the iPad in her hands."It's about four hundred and forty thousand dollars.""Okay, that's fine."As they walk on, Mikayla notices a woman behind them. She turns to look and she branches away, into another shop.Mikayla whispers to Danielle. "Make sure security keeps an eye on that woman, she's been following us a while now."Danielle nods as she leaves the crowd to go do what she's been asked to do."You all can go, I want to stop by somewhere."All the executives behind her all nods and excuse themselves to go do some other activities as well and she walks forward. She stops in front of the S

Lily steps out of the police station and shields her eyes from the blinding sun that she hasn't seen for the last two days.In detention, waiting for the officer to come get her every two or three hours for exhaustive interrogations that she had always said the same thing over and over in. Thankfully, her parents had sent her a lawyer on the first day and he had let her know that no matter how much they question her, no matter how much pressure they put on her, they can't retain her for more than forty eight hours, that's two days, they can't keep her locked up for more than two days without finding some conclusive evidence with which they can charge her to court. And she had banked on that kept to her story...He had been an abuser of women, who had beat her so much that she's got those purple scars all over her body. They had asked about the previous scars since all the ones there seemed to be newly gotten and she'd said he really gives her scars only when deals don't come through,

She walks past the first check point and sighs... Thankfully for her, she finds a taxi in a short while and enters into it.She describes her house... The one she lived in with Price and there it took her.As soon as they arrive, she exits the taxi and tells him to wait that she'll quickly grab her phone and make a transfer of her payment. The taxi man nods and turns off his engine and watches her go inside. She closes the main gate behind her and she sighs. The whole place has been cleared out, no single soul in sight. Different foot prints on the ground, so many wastes left behind by all the detectives and reporters and even the staff of the estate is gone. She walks in and grabs her phone which had been left in the room upstairs since the past two days. She chooses to not check anything yet and attend to the man waiting for her downstairs first which she does.As soon as he drives off, she goes back inside.Right there in the living room, the yellow and black bright tapes of the fa

For the first time in a long time, she wakes up to the bright morning sun, in her eyes, but just perfect enough that it isn't burning into her eyelids the way she usually wakes to on park benches or street way benches where she usually passes the night. For someone that's supposed to be in school, she watches all of her mates as they live their lives without any worries, at least, not the type that makes them run from one place to another because they say every human, no matter how little or or stupid or inconsequential what they are dealing with is, it's still a worry. She pushes back the duvet and makes her way into the bathroom to freshen up for day. She looks through her small bag and finds a sundress in there. She smiles at it.She's not had any reason to wear something like that but now, it looks like it's a new dawn so she can try to live again. She puts it on and picks up her slightly worn bag and makes to leave, her destination? Her mother's grave. It might be the last time s

They back off, taking momentary glances at the man that's writhing on the floor. He, with his own pain, looks up at his men and curses. "You dipshits, attack her!"With his words, they seem to regain their senses and they rush forward, all five of them at once.Mikayla shakes her head, tutting to herself. "Some idiots never learn their lessons."As soon as the first one threw his hand out in a punch, she sidesteps and he misses but she brings down her elbow, hard, on his arm and he screams, his hand going limp. She does the same to the others, hitting them at some specific parts of their bodies so they will be immobile or too pained to do anything. At the end, Angela is behind the couch, watching with a bated breath, her eyes showing excitement even though she's scared for Mika as well.Mika soon walks over to her side. "Are you okay?"She nods. "Are you okay ma'am?""I am. Let me see your cheeks." Mika turns Angie's cheeks to herself and she sees the hand imprints on them, signaling
