Seasons passed with time; Elise had chosen to stay with Hayden, and with Chief Blackmoon's blessing, they had their mating ceremony. She had asked for nothing festive; only Abby and Hayden’s best friends were there as witnesses. She could remember how tense she was as she repeated those vows and how the last time at the altar ended up so horribly. But with one of Hayden’s eyes, she reached his promise to be by her side, to protect her. There was still a nerve-wracking feeling after the ceremony. It made her nervous about how the pack would accept her as Luna and Hayden’s partner. Contrary to her beliefs, the people welcomed her the moment Hayden announced she was in; they were all grateful for her help, and the people warmed up to her. Even though there would be biased whispers and some filled with jealousy, that was nothing that could break her. Not until the very day her water broke and she was rushed to Abby’s, with Hayden waiting outside for the birth. It felt like an ag

No one expected this attack, especially as the sound of explosions and gunfire echoed through the city gates. Elise and Hayden could only watch in horror as the pack and their men by the gated wall were under attack from the weapons. “I need to go now,” he muttered, his tone racing in haste as he rushed to the door, with Elise right behind him, her eyes filled with adrenaline. “I’m coming with you,” she muttered as Hayden stopped her, his gaze filled with a plea for her to stay safe. Elise frowned. “I can fight; you know I can,” she told Hayden, his eyes filled with rage and hardened from the ongoing attack. He couldn't help but feel his wolf wanting to protect her. “I need you to be safe; you need to go check on Ethan too, just please,” he told Elise. They ran out the door, and she saw a quick shift of his wolf as he raced into the darkness and departed by the gates. Elise ran to Abby’s home while Hayden shifted to his wolf and raced to the gates. They were trying to use bo

And just like that, Elise was ready for him. Her core ached and clenched in anticipation; their breaths mingled in heated lust as she felt his member slide open her folds. A shudder passed her lips as their gazes locked. She felt his hard length push into her sex. She moaned, grabbing harder at his shoulders, her nails curling deeper into his skin as Hayden shoved his full girth into her entrance. “Hmm, Ngh, Hayden, oh!” She moaned, feeling his length in her for the first time. He set her core on fire, and Hayden relished in all her moans, kissing down her chest from the ecstasy she was feeling. Every drag off her inner wall on his dick made the pull achingly torturous yet so good. Each cry and contort of her face she made from the feel of his cock caused a groan from his lips. He took her in like wine, high on the sweet drug that was Elise. She hummed deeper, his lips biting on her soft, pillowy lips. Taking in her moan, he prodded her lips, asking for access into her mouth

Hayden tries to act nonchalant when Elise tells him that Ethan’s father will be at the summit and that the alpha identity turns out to be someone so unexpected and powerful. “What?” He was perplexed by her confession. He knew one day they’d talk about who Ethan’s true father was, but he never knew it’d be now, especially to say it was someone coming to the summit, and not just anyone but Rygan ka’al Andras. But Hayden was so angry at the fact that those monsters, Kaide and Alvira, could treat such a beautiful soul as Elise as a criminal, and she was abandoned to fend for herself; he wanted to kill them. “The Black Moon Pack,” she starts with a light caress on Hayden's face as he quietly listens. “That was where I was given refuge after my first mating failed,” she starts. She tells him her story, from what happened to her mother and then becoming a slave in Kyren's hands to when she met Rygan in that dark cell and how he saved her. They were practically bonded. He couldn't

It felt as if time had stopped for the Blackmoon Alpha. It felt like he was looking at a ghost from the past. Rygan felt like he couldn’t breathe; none of them could the minute they watched Elise walk into the room. Elise was alive; she had been all this time. Taz was wide-eyed with shock, while Kaide and Alvira looked terrified, as if they had seen a ghost come to haunt them. Kyren's face mirrored that of the Beddor cousin, with an icy terror in their gaze, while Chief Dexton looked like he was a second away from bolting out of the room in fear. No one saw this coming, and now they could barely speak a word. “Welcome, Alpha and Luna of the Calhan Pack,” Camille called, breaking the icy tension in the room. They were all intrigued by the fact that this was the first time they had seen a Calhan wolf interact with other packs in decades. But half of the table was more terrified and still in disbelief of the female who stood tall and proud, her hands elegantly placed on the cur
