CHAPTER 181. I WILL MAKE YOU MINE. DesperationDesperate was an understatement. Loan felt as if something was crushing his chest, and it wasn’t just because he hadn’t seen her. As dawn broke, on his way back to his room, he ran into his brother Zack in one of the corridors and ended up pacing like a wounded animal in front of him and his sister-in-law, Andrea.“I swear something happened to her... I feel it right here!” he exclaimed, clutching his chest as if he had ever truly put his heart into that... "casual thing" they had.“Well... you could always go ask, right?” Zack tried to calm him down. “Do you have her full name?”“Yes, it’s Danna McKenzie. She’s one of the best skaters on the Scottish team, but I didn’t see her with them last night,” Loan said, determined. After she didn’t show up, he had gone to the opening party, and she wasn’t there either. “So yeah, it could be that she just didn’t want to see me, but not being with the team either? I don’t know, my gut tells me somet

CHAPTER 183. I WILL MAKE YOU MINE. I don’t believe youWith such an incentive, Loan had no doubt that the detective would do everything in his power to find her, but unfortunately, it wasn’t easy. Six weeks passed, six terrible weeks before there was any news.Loan traveled to Scotland every Friday, but it seemed as though the earth had swallowed that family whole. Finally, one Sunday afternoon, just as he was about to head back to Switzerland, his phone began to ring."Hello?" he answered, seeing on the screen that it was the detective."Please tell me you haven’t left yet!" the man said."No, I’m still here. Why?" Loan asked, his heart racing."I’ve got an address!"Within minutes, Loan was driving his car toward the address the man had sent him. It was a small village to the south, between Glasgow and Kilmarnock, and Loan arrived late at night. He held back his desperation until the next day and hurriedly knocked on the door of that house. It was very small and looked a bit run-dow

CHAPTER 185. I WILL MAKE YOU MINE. A Baby in the Garden"This is what I need, pay attention to me."As if Loan's commanding presence wasn’t enough, his money was also on the line, so Bryson Gray was fully focused on him. He lifted his notepad as a sign that he was listening and nodded.Loan Keller had some very odd requests, but Bryson was just there for his commission. However, two weeks later, they had scoured half the country without finding anything."We’re only left with the major castles, the ones still owned by nobility... but getting into those isn’t easy," Bryson said one night as they shared a drink at the hotel bar."Well, we have to try, no matter what."The real estate agent stayed thoughtful for a moment and then sighed."There’s one possibility, but it’s hoooorrrrrible," he said. "We could go to Brechin Castle and charm Olivia Winston."Loan looked at him as if he had no idea what he was talking about."Olivia Winston, thirty-something, spinster, and loose... anyway, sh

CHAPTER 187. I WILL MAKE YOU MINE. We have to stopHe was anxious, nervous, scared. Danna was alive. Thank God, Danna was very much alive, but for some reason, they were calling her Leda! Her official, real name was Danna McKenzie. He knew this because he had seen it on the competition boards, and besides, that was the name on the death certificate that John had found…The certificate! It had to mean something!Who was behind all of this? The old witch who was Danna's mother, or Danna herself? In any case, faking her death was a crime, Loan knew that, so he didn’t dare make any move until he knew exactly what was going on.She didn’t return to the dining room; instead, another girl showed up, and Loan spent the rest of the afternoon tormented, waiting for nightfall.“I have a question. How much staff does it take to keep the castle running?” he asked Olivia.“Just about half a dozen. A chef and two kitchen assistants, a butler, a gardener, and five cleaning and laundry girls,” Olivia

CHAPTER 189. I WILL MAKE YOU MINE. The Biggest SecretLoan stared at her, stunned. She looked tired and frail. She had lost a lot of weight, even though she was already slim. It was clear the past year had been hard on her. He hugged her tightly for a moment and then cupped her face in his hands. "Listen to me, Danna. We're going to get through this. You have to trust me." "But you don't know who the Winstons are... the power they have!" Loan smiled condescendingly and gave her a soft kiss on the lips. "Oh, girl, you don’t know who I am either, do you?" Danna looked at him, confused, and Loan sighed. "Please, I want to see my son," he asked, his heart racing. "Can I?" Danna looked at him for a moment, then nodded, her eyes shining. "Yes, yes, of course you can. Let's go find him in the living room." Loan felt excitement swell inside him as Danna left the room to get the baby. He watched her walk down the hallway, feeling as if his heart might burst from the love he felt in t
