Katrina.Seven Years Ago ...Finally, it's my eighteenth birthday. I'm so excited to meet my wolf and mate!I hope that it's my long-term boyfriend, Damien Smiths.Everyone wanted us to be the endgame, and I've always been wishing that he will be my mate. Both of our families support each other.Once I become the mate of the future Alpha of Hawthornpack, I'll become his luna and serve the pack."I really appreciate you coming, Mr. Smiths," my mother said as she shook hands with Damien's father and turned to give Lily Smiths, the woman next to him, a cheek kiss.Damien came over and slapped my butt cheeks lightly. I let out a giggle, in which both of our parents turned our heads because of it, so I cleared my throat and tiptoed. My mother's eyebrows raised because of my behavior. Oh no, that's a clue that I'm misbehaving. She has been training me to be the refined and ideal Luna of the Hawthornpack.I could already hear her reprimands in my head. So, I made some excuse to remove mysel

Katrina. The past few days after my 18th birthday party, I got sick. It wasn't the normal case as the family physician has told me. He couldn't diagnose why I was sick. "This could be something related to your wolf. You already turned eighteen. Have you met her?" "My wolf?" I asked the doctor, my hands fell numb at my side. "Yes, your wolf." I looked away from him and to my mother and father who were worried sick at me. "Not yet," I replied and sighed. The family physician prescribed another medicine and told my parents to observe my behavior. Later that night, I was having a bad dream about Archer, my mate, when I woke up feeling sick and throwing up again. I didn't notice that I was growling when my mother came inside my room. She turned on the lights and touched my forehead. "You're having a fever. I thought you were doing well, honey..." her voice sounded so worried. I hold my mother's hand to feel her warmth. Tears started escaping from my eyes as I looked at her. "Mom,

Katrina.I hated myself for acting like this. Why was my heart beating so fast? It must be the proximity between me and Archer inside this small room.We almost got busted. I managed to get out after I couldn't hear Daphne's voice outside. But when I turned to the right side of the hallway, I almost bumped my shoulder into her."Where did you go?" she asked, looking at me suspiciously. I tried to fix my hair and white-buttoned shirt and flashed my perfect smile at her. "Just in the comfort room. Let's go?"I clung to her arm and walked towards my friends. I still wasn't feeling well, but the new family doctor was good. He gave me painkillers to stop and numb the pain that was affecting my wolf. When we arrived in the school garden, I saw Damien and Caleb laughing like crazy while holding the collar of a familiar boy. It was the waiter, whom I think is Archer's friend.I balled my fists at my sides in anger, knowing fully well that they were up to no good. But I put on a fake smile and

I stood in front of Archer's apartment door for what felt like an eternity. His bike was parked outside, a clear sign he was home."Why am I even here?" I muttered to myself, hesitating before raising my hand to knock. The door suddenly flew open.I nearly shrieked at the sight of him, shirtless, with only a towel draped around his waist. He looked serious as he saw me. "Come inside," he whispered, grabbing my wrist and checking something outside before locking the door."Your mother... is she here?" I asked. He nodded. "No questions anymore, please.""O-Okay..." I coughed, glancing around his apartment. It was small but clean and neat."What changed your mind?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest. He leaned against the door frame of his room, and I hated how hot I found him at that moment.Swallowing the lump in my throat, I stammered, "I could use your comfort. In bed, obviously."Goddess, what am I even saying?!"Look, I'm so nervous right now. Can we just get down to busine

Archer.I knew Katrina left home even though she didn't admit it; the duffel bag was a dead giveaway. As I held her in my arms, I felt Berk, my wolf, talking to me. It was convenient being able to speak to him without saying it out loud."Get her! I want her!" he demanded."We already got her, Berk. What more do you want?" I replied."We have to claim her! You stupid fool didn't mark her that night, did you?"I bit my lower lip, resisting the urge to punch my wolf. "Are you crazy? Of course we shouldn't! Everyone in the pack will know she's mine.""She's yours in the first place! Get her!" he went berserk."What's so special about her?" I hissed at Berk, unable to understand his obsession. "She's a hypocrite, a rich girl, and a spoiled brat!""I like her scent. It's addicting. She shouldn't be touched by any other man! I can feel many of us want to claim her, too," Berk said seriously. I heaved a deep sigh and shut off my mind towards him."We're here," I announced to Katrina, setting
