CHAPTER 61 IVY Minutes later, I was still on the bed, stylishly using the blanket to cover my half-naked body. I still couldn't believe we had sex and breached our contract last night. I felt both ashamed and nervous, not knowing exactly how to face him. I hate to admit it, but the sex with him was fantastic. Leon has never treated me this way or satisfied me in this way. I forced myself out of bed, yawning and stretching as I groggily walked into the bathroom. I didn't have a choice, knowing I would be seeing the queen in the next few minutes. I needed to dress elegantly and be on my best behavior. I was also relieved that Casper had left; if not, I wouldn't be this comfortable around him. But then again, I felt a pang of disappointment that he just left. I didn't want him to go just yet. I still yearned for more of his intimacy, to bask in the warmth of his presence, to feel his eyes on me and hear his voice whispering sweet words in my ear, just as he did last night. The shrill

CHAPTER 63. IVY. My jaw almost dropped to the floor when I saw that asshole walk into the room where I was sitting. For a moment, I wanted to ask him what he was doing there, but I quickly stopped myself, reminding myself that he is part of the royal family. Rolling my eyes, I sighed in disgust. "You won't talk to me anymore?" He sat beside me. "Is it a guilty conscience about what you did?" I scoffed, tucking my hair behind my ear. For the last few minutes I had been here, I had been riding high on positive energy and on my best behavior. And here comes the devil trying to force me to break character. Did he just say "guilty conscience"? I almost burst out laughing at the thought that I gave two fucks about him. I hadn't done a thing, and he thought I'd feel guilty for his self-centered ass. Besides, there was not one lie told—he was an abusive man who used to beat me to a pulp back in the day. I was just doing other women a service by creating awareness about how much of a mons

CHAPTER 65 IVY'S POV “Yeah, I think we can come together to make something good. You know we are always compatible with each other.” I rolled my eyes, disgusted. “Just get out of my way, Leon, if you have nothing good to say. I don't have time to bicker with you. I have a job, and I have people waiting on me.” He scoffed. “Take a back seat, Ivy. Same job that can't make a nice outfit for the queen?” “Come on…” he said, his tone tinged with mockery. “I'm an insider; you don't need to act all high and mighty.” “We both know you aren't that high and mighty, perfect high-profile woman you claim to be.” I felt like I had been punched in the gut, my breathing restricted. Of course, some assholes like him are never going to see me for my worth rather than for what sexual games I can offer. Leon just never changes. One would think that after all this time and experience, he would have adjusted and stopped being a jerk, but it seems that only inflated his ego more. I stared at him, dis

As the men outside broke the door, Leo turned to Ivy and asked, "Are you ready?" She nodded. "Yes, I am!" "Good!" His face lit up with a smile. "Now, once we get out there, you walk straight to the runway, wow them all, and seize the moment. Then they'll all forget that you weren't punctual!" Ivy nodded, took a deep breath, and once the door was open, she walked out. The bright lights and loud music of the fashion show hit her like a wave, but with Mr. Leo by her side, she felt a sense of confidence and calm as they both headed to the runway hall. Taking the elevator, Ivy closed her eyes, trying to gather herself. "Ivy, you can do this. Yes, you can do this!" Once the elevator opened, Ivy heard the loud cheers from the runway event and stopped. Looking at the wall screen, her breath hitched, and she stumbled back in shock, seeing Hailey standing in front of the hallway and waving at the audience as if she were the designer. She couldn't believe her eyes. She stood there, seemingl

Ivy's face beamed with pride as she watched the models walk down the runway in her designs. “Hey, Ivy!” Leon called out to her as he approached. “You did good out there! Our ratings are very high, and it's all thanks to you!” Once she turned around and saw it was Leon, her smile faded away. She sneered, “Where is your girlfriend?” Leon’s eyes widened at her harsh voice. He tried to calm her down, his gaze wandering to ensure the media didn't catch that moment. “What's up, Ivy? What happened? Why are you angry?” He smiled as he pulled her away from the cameras and walked her back inside. “Where is your girlfriend?” Ivy demanded, her voice low and angry. “I know she was supposed to be here tonight, and I know she was the one who tried to sabotage my moment! Where the hell is she, Leon? Did you hide her?” Leon's smile faltered, and he looked around nervously to make sure they were out of earshot of the media. “Ivy, calm down. Let's talk about this inside. What are you even talking a
